Vincent tailored my suit jacket and suit pants and they fit like a glove. I highly recommend. Little pricey but in my opinion well worth it in the end.

This lady used to be in Dormont and then in Parkway Center Mall (my mom used to go to her when she was reasonable). Her new location is in Greentree, which is convenient, but she is way overpriced. I took a bridesmaid dress to be shortened to wear to another wedding. For shortening the hem and taking in the shoulders, it was $80. The dress was only $99 at David's Bridal! I decided to do it anyway because she said how good she was. Flash forward to me picking it up (she never called to say it was done). She said she had to put a slip in the skirt because the slit in the back was ripped (I knew this but it wasn't noticeable and a few stitches would have done the trick just fine). Charged another $20!! I asked why she didn't call first and she said her "other customers just pay, I don't call". She said she could take it out but then I wouldn't have the dress in time and who knows what damage would have been done. In between this, my sister takes a wedding dress she bought from an expo for minor alterations, to see how much she would cost. She tells her $300-400 (dress was $200). My sister took it to another seamstress with much lower overhead and it cost a fraction of that. Who knows what she would have added at the end to that dress! I've never seen anyone else in the store when I've gone so I feel as if she looks for other stuff to do to the clothing she already has there to make up for the lack of business. Will not be returning to her again!

I had to add a size to my "Too Small" Bridesmaid dress and Barb worked her magic! She had to take the entire dress apart add and subtract things and in the end the dress looked exactly the same as when she started just one size larger! Anthropologie didn't make a size 16 but Barb did! Her work is fantastic at an incredibly reasonable price. It didn't take her very long to complete the alteration either. I'm so pleased with her work I am taking my wedding dress to her in Feb 2010.

I have had several pairs of pants and jeans altered here, and even sent my best friend's boyfriend here for last-minute alterations ahead of a wedding. Not overly personal, but fast and efficient service.

Kathy does great work. I took several off the rack suits I got at great prices to her. She did a great job with the alterations! Because of her work, they look like several hundred dollar suits. The work of a good tailor/seamstress makes all the difference. You won't be disappointed with her work.

I was lucky enough to purchase a second hand Burberry coat, but sadly the shoulders were a throwback to the 80's -very padded and wide. I loved everything about the coat except for that. My sewing skills are limited so I knew I couldn't tackle the job and looked for a local tailor to help. I was so lucky to find Mr Distilo- he's a genius! While I tried on the coat in his shop he marked the shoulder with tailor's chalk and told me that removing the shoulder pads alone wouldn't fix the problem like I thought- there was too much material there. He said he could fix it and it would take only two weeks. I picked up my coat Friday and was thrilled. It looks beautiful- I can't even tell anything was done to it- the mark of an excellent tailor. He had to pick apart the lining, redo the shoulder pads, cut down the shoulders of the coat and put it back together, then do the same with the lining and then put that all back in place. It was a very labor intensive job indeed. And the cost for all this beautiful handwork was only $25! I'm telling all my friends and relatives about Mr Distilo and I know I'll use him for every future tailoring job I have. Now I can wear my beautiful new to me coat- and believe me, when I do I'll be mentioning Mr Distilo as the gentleman who made it look new again!

My wedding is this coming November 18th. I had found my wedding dress and my bridesmaids' dresses at other locations a couple months ago. While my dress was fine, my bridesmaids' dresses came in the wrong color and the maker was not easy to deal with to fix the problem. \r \r With a little less than two months left until my wedding, bridal stores and boutiques all over the county told us that ""burgundy wasn't an *in* color,"" or that ordering timeframes were too short to accomodate our situation (even with expedites). In short, we were at a total loss....that is, until we stepped into Michael's! \r \r Upon entrance, we were treated with the utmost respect and sincere concern to help us resolve our problem. Yolanda and her fabulous staff helped us to a wonderful array of BURGUNDY bridesmaid dresses available OFF THE RACK! The varying styles and sizes were so classy and several worked perfectly with the old hollywood theme of my wedding!\r \r We owe everything to Yolanda! Now I can finally sleep at night having one more thing checked off the list! I would recommend that anyone just beginning their planning -- or pulling things together last minute -- visit this wonderful establishment. I have even found a fantastic dress to wear on our honeymoon! They will impress you when you go there....they sure impressed me!

I have had great experiences every time I've been there. The tailor has been able to do alterations on coats that others in the city have not been able to mend (a duck canvas coat), as well as deliver on-time. Additionally, they have twice been able to get tailoring and cleaning done in a time frame sooner than they had initially quoted. I've had poor experiences at several cleaners in the city, but Four Seasons has always delivered.

First, let me say I almost didn't go here, because a friend told me they had closed. So for anyone who hears that... they have NOT-they used to be in one place in Mt Leb... but they moved down the road! The new location is so beautiful inside- trying on your dress and coming out to your friends and family in this beautiful shop makes you feel like a princess- it is just like you see on tv shows (much unlike some other local bridal shops I visited, which are basically just a notch up from your normal everyday dressing rooms). I brought my mom, sister, grandmother and best friend, and there was room for everyone and room for me to walk, twirl, and show off. :) Now for the dress... I went in with my own ideas of what I thought I wanted. Greg brought me a couple of dresses to try on that fit that description. They were beautiful, but not ""the one"". But then he said he had one he wanted me to try that was different than what I said I was looking for. I wasn't keen on that idea, and even after seeing it on the hanger, I didn't think I'd like it at all, nor did my family. I was completely wrong. This dress, THE dress, was amazing, and Greg's ideas and vision were SPOT ON. He added a headpiece that was simply amazing, another thing I would have never tried. Since Anne Gregory was my first stop on my ""day of dresses"", I wasn't comfortable buying the dress before I visited some other stores. So I left and went to the remainder of my appointments. But my family and I quickly found it was a total waste of time. None of the shops compared, none of the gowns compared, and I knew I had already found my dress. I made another appointment for the following week, tried it on again, and then bought my dress. Greg and Maryann are extremely good at what they do, and were both so wonderful to work with. I would venture a guess that if some of these reviewers thought otherwise, perhaps there is more to those stories. It seems to me that Greg and Maryann just take a lot of pride in their business (it is their shop), take things to heart, and believe they have the best around. And quite frankly... they're right. :) I would recommend them to anyone. They're not the cheapest, but the prices aren't unreasonable at all. And from what I saw at some other shops, you get what you pay for.

Primo tailoring is the best tailor in Pittsburgh, hands down. I actually signed up on this website to write the review. I stumbled upon it when looking for primos phone number. I was shocked to see that the only reviews were negative. The one mentions that Primo told him/her that they should have brought their ticket. How is this negative? They are working with 100s of articles of clothing that are probably organized by number...obviously, they would need the ticket....which is why they give you a copy. They other's gripe was that they paid $18 for a pair of pants. Really? They're complaining about $18? Isn't that pretty standard for a hem...especially if it was a euro hem? I've been going to Primo for a few years now and what I love about Primo is that quality of the work. If you have nice clothing and care about them, it's definitely worth spending a few extra bucks. He has done some pretty involved work for me and he did it flawlessly. I have had other tailors ruin clothing. I know and trust that this will never happen. Also, the guy who does the measuring (who i'm assuming is the tailor and owner) and the other staff have been nothing less than friendly.
