Homer Service Station
I have no idea why anyone would rate these guys any less than even a 4!!! J.R., the owner is great to work with! They are honest, fair in pricing, reliable, friendly and a rare breed of trustworthy car mechanics. It only took me more than 10 years to finally find a good mechanic! :) I wish you well. Philippe

Jim Shorkey North Hills Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram
Deceptive! Brief highlight: undisclosed car damage, associate response time slow, poor handling of return on loan check.Full story: After over 30 emails back and forth with several associates (of various levels), a handful of phone calls, sorting through the loan process with my credit union, and a 1.5 hour 70 mile drive (one way): the car listed online had undisclosed damage, with photos posted photoshopped to hide it.When I arrived at the dealership, the agent that was supposed to have met me 'had to step out.' I had to hear from a junior level associate about how the vehicle 'may have been damaged on the lot' (which implausible as it may be, nobody thought to tell me before making the drive there) - and that they would 'happily' REPAIR the damage to the vehicle more than a week later, and 'allow' me to buy the car for the SAME price.I left, asking that the original associate meant to meet me call as soon as possible, and went to lunch. After 2 hours in the city with no response, I made the 1.5 hour drive home.I immediately wrote an emailed request to return the loan check to my credit union as soon as possible (per their requirements), and was assured it would be followed through. It took several weeks, and several additional unresponded-to emails and phone calls/messages, before the dealership finally (incorrectly) returned the loan check to me (not my credit union as requested). One month later, now that I have my money back, I'm happy to report I did not purchase a vehicle from this dealership - and would not recommend it for any future potential shoppers.

Lucci's Collision Ctr
This is a family owned business that is local. Very professional, but with a human family touch. Lucci's did excellent body work on my car. They even saved me 200.00! Please utilize our local businesses, they and we are worth it.

NTB National Tire & Battery
DO NOT EVER take your vehicle to NTB National Tire & Battery in Mcintyre Square Pgh, PA, they are scam artists. This place of business is seedy and they will lie to you by telling you, you need work done on your vehicle so they can pad the bill and get their big chunk of change ( commission by lying and misleading the public). This place should be shut down, they should be ashamed to conduct business in this manner. I am calling channel 11 news to have this place investigated. On July 24th in the morning hours, I took my truck to NTB to get an oil change. To my surprise, I was handed an estimate in the amount of $1,669.60 ( WOW... pretty expensive oil change, I was thinking!) An associate of NTB hands me this estimate, stating I need front suspension strut and the suspension strut and coil spring assembly in the amount of $907.15. I was also advised I needed the following 1. disc brake pad - front premium ceramic with their life time guarantee, front. 2. front disc brake rotor 3. front brakes installation in the amount of $533.96 NTB parts for this scam were $1, 254.60Labor for this scam were $281.50-$10.00 FUNNY discount / creditsubtotal $1,526.10Shop fee $35.00taxes $1669.90 I paid $84.99 for an oil change only. They tried to rip me off by providing me with an estimate of $1, 584.61. I was so disturbed by their estimate the next day I took my truck to a very reputable auto mechanic in Gibsonia, PA I was told I needed front brake pads and rotors, my bill was $271.29 including labor, parts, and sales tax. I never needed the front suspension strut and coil spring assembly. On a scale of 1-10. I would rate this place a negative. I am warning the public, if something does not seem right to you, don't get the work done on your vehicle, get a second opinion. Go by your gut instincts. Don't ever be afraid to question something that does not seem right. I say shut this establishment down!!!

I had 2 visits to this location and each time the service was prompt and professional. The service manager and mechanics are very knowledgeable and were able to correct an error made by a different service provider. I will definitely be returning for future maintenance !!

JS Auto Collision
JS Auto is great for removing dents and repairing collisions. Their paint jobs are excellent and they bring a car back to "as new". I recommend them.
Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
