I had the same experience with these people. Salespeople will say anything to get the sale, then wash their hands. Service people will talk to you but will tell you over and over that they're not responsible. No follow through. Unless you know how to install a fireplace on your own--and you don't--avoid this place.

Long time a fan of the award-winning work of Regis McQuaide of Master Remodelers, I contracted for a small job with him to improve the energy efficiency and comfort of my 100+ year old home. I appreciate the fact that he has multiple certifications in Home Performance. For my project, Regis had previously and generously given me some pointers about my own DIY work on better insulating my home, including sealing duct work, caulking, etc. As a final step in my project, Rege recommended that his crew spray foam insulation above my basement walls between the floor joists and foundation. His two man crew performed the spray insulation work very efficiently and with no disruption to my home or work schedule. And they were very personable and knowledgable about Home Performance (this crew also does the energy audits for the company). I saw and felt the results immediately. My home was more comfortable and temperatures more even throughout, especially in winter. My gas heating bill dropped to 1/3 of my former budget amount; the electric bill for summer AC, to about 50% of previous. Great news and great advice from Rege! I would recommend Master Remodelers to anyone... and hope someday to bring them back for the kind of work they are best known for—major remodeling projects of premium quality.
Mr Hollis came to my home to do brick work and painting in 2015. The work was not done properly,he did not clean before painting and painted in the rain. Brick work had to be redone. I took him to court and he lost but will not pay up. check the ratings for them at the BBB and builderzoom they are very bad.

Paul is a very nice and professional person. He informed of his schedule and I was willing to wait until he had the time to point all of the bricks on 2 sides of my house. His estimate was fair. He contacted me in advance to make sure we were on schedule to do the job. Paul and his crew showed up each day at 8am. The were all very nice and were as clean as they could be (grinding out all of the old mortar is messy). They cleaned up each day. Paul kept in contact with me through out the job since it took 5 days to complete and I wasn't there while he was working. He discussed every thing with my wife when he was finished to make sure we were satisfied. I would call Paul again or recommend him to anyone needing brick work done.
