Precision Brush Painting
Wonderful customer service so far! I don't know what I would have done if they ended up turning out like the last painters! Thankfully, they were experienced, licensed, bonded, insured, and hardworking! The last rag tag group of painters I hired left paint scrapings everywhere. Still cleaning up their crap! Should of hired Pittsburgh Precision Brush Painting from the beginning!

I've met a lot of painters over the years, but haven't quite found anyone like them. They know every aspect of painting and prove it with their attention to detail and swiftness on every job I hired them for. Thanks gents!

Extremely professional and accommodating painting company that treats your project like their own. They are patient and dutiful with your house and take the time to do it right the first time. I recommend them for efficiency and transparency.

Pittsburgh Precision Painting was exceptionally professional and knowledgeable with all aspects of painting. I would observe their painting capabilities for a couple of minutes a day until the project was completed to my satisfaction. The painters are extremely accommodating and they make sure to keep you up to date with their progress. They clearly value your time and are very conscientious of their work area. Everything was well maintained and treated with professional care. This company is an easy recommendation. -Benny

Joseph M Stanick Painting
Joe is excellent and did a great, clean job. For the free estimate, he arrived on time and was very friendly and courteous. Great Pittsburgh guy. Time between estimate and job was less than one week and offered very fair pricing. He and his team painted 2 coats on 4 rooms in my home in one day. They also assisted in patching holes in the wall from nails and placed furniture back in same spots. For the job, they arrived on time and ready to roll. I would highly recommend Joe for your painting needs!

Joseph M Stanick Painting
Generally speaking, the owner was rude and unpleasant. He was paid for 2 coats of paint but only used one coat. He also missed several areas that he was paid to paint. When directed to return and complete the job, he still did not paint many of those areas, and was not thankful for the business. Don't waste your money on an imcomplete job done by a impolite person.
Tips & Advices
For a long-lasting paint job, a clean wall is crucial. Ask how they plan to clean your walls, if at all, before getting started. A high-quality company will thoroughly prepare a wall so that the paint will lay smoothly and last a long time.
Yes. A well-established company will have more experience and likely more references for you to reach out to than a new company that's just getting off the ground. Be sure to ask for references so you can speak to former customers about their experience working with the painter. When speaking to these people, ask about:
  • Whether they had issues with the crew
  • If the painters were messy or neat
  • How the paint has held up since the project was completed
The quality of the paint will affect how good the walls look when the project is completed. If your contractor says they plan on using a paint you don't like, feel free to request an alternative.
If the contractor makes a point to train new hires on safety techniques as well as quality standards on the job, you're probably in good hands.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of cases where a painter has stolen items from a home or caused damage to the house or injury to the homeowner. Subcontractors may not be as skilled as employees, and the contractor you're hiring may not have much experience working with them, making them more of a risk. Additionally, ask if the painters are employees or subcontractors, and what the screening or hiring process is like.
