Pittsburgh Ballet Theater
I speak from experience after going there for 4years. My daughter loves ballet she took classes at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and was enjoying them but the teachers and the management at this place are snobs and don't respect the families. We thought they were cold at first because we were new but they never changed, and to make matters worse they let kids 8 years and 9 years audition for the Nutcracker and don't cast them all like they do in other schools. How do you tell your 8 year old you didn't make it but all your friends did, they cast the kids based on their size instead of talent. The kids that get casted in the Nutcracker have to work 2 shows a day of course without being paid like the adult dancers in the Nutcracker, not to mention they have to stay quite and crammed backstage in a basement that smells like mold, not where the ballet company gets ready because they are better they stay on the higher floors. Awful school!! Parents don't waste your time and Monet at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre this school will not give you the respect you deserve.

Disrespectful and rude. The owner of Carpelz called my mom "goofy" in front of everyone in the studio. Do not go here, especially if you don't enjoy being talked badly about behind your back.

Art & Style Dance Studio
With some trepidation, I agreed to take ballroom dancing last year. It's been great fun, just the right amount of challenge with good coaching along the way. I now can dance at a basic level the waltz, foxtrot, cha cha, rhumba, swing, and tango. Who knew this would be such fun with new friends and more to learn I the future. I really recommend this studio for strong skills and a great value.
