Huge, juicy & tasty Ribs. Great sauce. Try some homemade cornbread too. A great neighborhood place that deserves a lot more recognition. You'll love it!!!

I could not disagree more with the previous post. \r \r My first impression was at their location in the strip district probably about 4 years ago. I was greeted with a fantastically cozy atmosphere and a chipper guy wearing a Hobokon, NJ T-shirt. He took the time to inform me about the different coffee flavors of the day and offered tea recommendations for my wife. I was a little struck by how long it took but figured it was a busy Saturday morning. Then I watched them meticulously grind the beans, and brew my cup individually using some crazy chemist's brewing method (chemex). I never knew coffee could be naturally sweet or to look for flavors like apricot or pineapple in a cup of coffee until I had theirs. My wife's loose tea was also delightful.\r \r I visit them in the strip every chance I get and when they opened a store downtown across the street from my office, I began to talk it up to my co-workers who have also been extremely impressed with the quality and the service. In summary, I'm convinced their espresso is actually the tears of angels. \r \r I'm shocked to hear that the previous reviewer was treated badly by an employee. In my dozens of visits I've yet to hear an employee be disrespectful to a customer.\r \r As far as the ""bathroom for customers only"" that's pretty standard for all (American) establishments that I know of.

Just one delivery mistake in the 10+ years that I have been a customer. First tried Luciano's pizza at the old place in White Oak and was a fan from the beginning. Great pizza from what has become a Suburban Pittsburgh tradition.

We LOVE this place!! It's in a great location in reference to The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. The people are great and the food & prices are awesome! We like the #5, two big pieces of yummy pizza and a big order of fries for around five bucks. You should definitely check it out!

They use gyro meat that comes carved off the sp*t. I've never been there to see it, but the meat is in chunks, not the rectangular slices I get from most other places. I've had gyros from several different places in Pittsburgh, and think the Middle Eastern restaurant on Oakland across from Quiznos is the only other one that doesn't use slices. (I might be wrong, maybe they do, but just have more.) This kind of gyro meat tastes much better and they actually have enough meat to fill you up. \r \r I've ordered other things, but I not enough to notice anything remarkable. But consider this place if you want gyros; if you're already ordering here, try the gyros.

Growing up in Pittsburgh I've had the opportunity to eat at many different ethnic places. Calabria's stands out among the rest when it comes to Italian home cooking. You can say I was raised on Calabria's food even before I was born, since my parents ate there at least a couple times a week. From something as simple as a slice of pizza,or an order of cheese fries, to their Fettuccine Alfredo dinner, it seems they take special care in preparing it just the way you like it. For my family and friends CALABRIA'S CAN'T BE BEAT.

It is a WOW! to Pho Kim 88 restaurant. I am highly recommended people to come and try this little great place. Excellent foods and services. I hope Pho Kim 88 will soon expand another one. Sushi is excellent and Hibachi and Vietnamese foods are extremely wonderful as well. The staffs are very well dressed (in Pho Kim 88) uniforms, very impressed. The atsmophere is nice and warm and especially very CLEANED. No other Vietnamese restaurant in Pittsburgh can't compare to this place. ""I'm LOVIN It""......

My husband and I are looking forward to our third consecutive New Year's Eve Dinner at Eleven. It is the perfect spot for a quiet, romantic evening. The setting and decor are intimate and comfortable, yet sophisticated. The Elysian Fields Lamb is a signature ingredient which we absolutely love. They also have many delicious seafood and vegetarian options. The wine selection is stellar. We find the staff to be professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable regarding food and wine. Make sure you save room for dessert, because the pastry chef is AMAZING! They feature tasting menus for different occasions throughout the year. You can sign up for the e-mails to keep you updated on upcoming dinners. Also, they will send you a birthday card with coupons.
25.Nine On Nine
900 Penn Ave Ste 100
We have gone to ""Nine On Nine"" on slow nights and we have gone on special event nights. Both times the food has been flavorful, the atmosphere has been good, the staff has been friendly and generally we have been impressed. \r \r In particular, the Lobster Mac n' Cheese is delicious and well priced considering the tedious work that must go into making it. I have had Lobster Ravioli in New York City at an outlandish price and Nine on Nine's version is a steal.\r \r If time is a concern, just tell the staff. There is a fine line between people enjoying their meal and getting annoyed because nobody is hovering nearby. We have always been asked if we were going to an event/show so they are aware of time constraints. \r \r On the other hand, some people like a cosy, romantic evening out and there is an old saying, ""three's a crowd"" so wait staff have to make a judgement call on every table. Without pounding the table like the inmates in a ""correctional facility"", you can politely lay some ground rules about you you would like your service without being overbearing. Tip and praise those who do a good job; nobody needs prodding to complain about something.\r \r All in all, we like the place and will add it to our list of Pittsburgh dining favorites.

I'm convinced that D's has the best doggs in Pittsburgh. As a mother of 3 children- the oppurtunity to get out alone with my husband rarley presents itself. Had a great date with him the other evening at D's. Great hot dogs with some exceptional beer. The great thing is the ability to try so many beers without having to decide 2 beers into a case that you really don't like it!! We just pick a country and start 'travelling'.
27.Thirty First Street Pub
3101 Penn Ave
The Pub is one of the best places in the city to see a good, old school rock and roll show. The drinks are relatively inexpensive and the atmosphere actually feels like a rock club. There's tons of old rock and roll memorabilia hanging on the walls and ceiling: Hellacopters, Supersuckers, all kinds of great stuff. It's like a rock and roll museum right there at the end of the 31st Street Bridge.

I can't say enough about this bar! I find myself sitting there for hours because of the company that's there and the food is to die for. They've figured out the recipe... good beer selection, amazing food, and good people. Keep up the great work. \r \r The Turkey Focaccia for lunch is amazing... but it will put you to sleep. It's one of the best under $10 lunches you can find. The specials are always amazing, and the beer selection is rich and in season always.\r \r \r

We have eaten here several times since we moved into the area last year. The latest time was this past saturday. A musician friend of ours was in town and we wanted to take him to a nice lunch before his performance, We could not have made a better choice. We had three diferent entres and eachof us raved about ours. The soup was obviously homemade and delicious. Excellent service coupled with excellent food, I can't rave enough.
