National Auto Svc Ctr
My vehicle was towed in to this shop on the recommendation of AAA. After having this shop remove and replace a right outer tie rod end and right sway link to the tune of $328.28, I picked up my vehicle and had no further problems until I tried to replace the front brake pads. Having a friend do this for me I was informed that my friend could not remove the passenger side front wheel. This was the same wheel that the mechanic at National Auto pulled to do my initial repairs. The reason that my friend could not remove the wheel is that the lug nuts were installed so tight ( impact wrench) that three grown men all together could not loosen them. They even bent the lug wrench they were using to try and remove the lug nuts. I called a week later and Bill the shop manager told me to bring my vehicle back in and they would take care of it...No problem. Well, when I took it back the mechanic came out with his air impact tool and attempted to loosen the lug nuts but the first one he tried to use the wrong size socket and even stated " It might help if I use the right size". Then, the mechanic returned with the right size but then proceeded to hammer the socket over the first lug nut and then went about loosening this one and the rest. On, my second attempt at having the passenger side wheel removed, I found out that the one lug was stripped and could not be removed, hence once again...no brake replacement. I again called on Monday 7/92012 and again Bill told me to bring my vehicle over. I did so around 12:30-1:00 pm and went into the shop to remind Bill what I was there for. He had the SAME mechanic come out and again hammer a socket over the lug nut in question. Only this time he made a little snide comment " I did this last time so WE didn't do it!" I feel there was no reason for this comment as he was the one who messed up my lug nuts in the first place! There was nothing wrong with my lug nuts prior to this shop doing the initial repair work. If the mechanic had installed the lug nuts properly the first time, then I wouldn't have complained!...Final Opinion...LOSE THE ATTITUDE DUDE AND DO THE WORK PROPERLY THE FIRST TIME!!!

Jerry Ostow's Automotive Inc
After spending nearly $400 on AC repair service and paying my bill in full, I received a call the following Monday saying that I had an outstanding balance of $32 for an oil change. I had requested an oil change along with the service, but assumed they had forgotten about it since it was not on my bill and the oil change sticker in my car had not been changed.I ended up paying the balance, but I was put off by the approach. If someone spends a good amount on a service with the potential for more (my car is an import with over 100,000 miles), you don’t call them and ask them for credit card information over a relatively nominal fee when you are in error. Now, instead of going back and recommending them to others, I will instead take my business and personal recommendations elsewhere.

Platinum Wrench
I found the best place to get my car worked on!!! I have taken my Scion XB to 3 shops to find out why my battery keeps going dead overnight, the first shop put a battery in it, the second shop put an alternator in it and the third shop charged me $50 to test it and said that no problem was found... I took it to Platinum and told them the history of my problems and within 15 mins a guy named Dave found that I had a bad part for one of my doors and the light inside would not go off all the time! He used some oil or something to make it work like it should and have had no problems in the last 3 month. The best thing is that they did not even charge me to fix it!!!!!!! Thanks so much

E Z Car Credit Inc
My credit was destroyed in a divorce and I didn't think I would ever be able to finance a nice car again. I called E-Z Car credit and Mark assured me that he would be able to help me get into a great car. I was a little unsure about being able to be approved for a loan but sure enough they did it!!! I dealt with JR and he put me into the car that I picked out. I couldn't believe it - The paperwork was a breeze and Chris explained everything to me about the deal and how this would help my credit for future purchases. To top it off they got a decent interest rate - I love these guys!!! Thank you E-Z and I would and will recommend them to everyone!!!

He will then rank them in order of priority, so you can take care of them based on your schedule and budget. After a repair, he will tell you exactly what was done, and even show you your old parts.

West Coast Car & Truck Sales
This is a good place to buy a car, period. I don't usually enjoy the sales process, but the salesman, Derrick was an easy person to deal with, and even his coworkers speak highly of him. Top notch professionalism AND down to earth... You don't find that mix often in ANY business it seems, but especially car sales. I can honestly recommend him without reservation.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
