horrible "business". They will take your money because of issues they either caused themselves or just made up.

AC not cooling properly. Brought my car here to be checked. Mike told me I needed new condenser and some other part to the tune of $1300. Stunned, I took the car to another shop for a second opinion. Second shop added freon, charged me $90 out the door! Get a SECOND opinion before getting your car fixed here!

Amateurs working here guessing at what your car needs. They recommend repairs you don't need. All the positive reviews are likely written by friends of the owner. DON'T GO HERE !!!

The shop manager Bill used my personal cell number from my auto forms without my permission, to text me. He didn't even provide me with information about my car! He began texting me from 7 am to 1 am,and even with no response he would send me at least 6 messages in a row. When I told homhim this was inappropriate,he continued to harass me with at least 20 messages a day. This makes me fearful of any girl who fills out paperwork at this establishment. He is a grade A creep! I advise any girl to go to another place!!!Run!!!!!!!

Dan's Corner Garage
Dan is the best, numerous times he has fixed my 10 to 15 year old car and not charged me or a small fee....last time we argued about it and he finally let me pay him, he has certainly made money off me many other times and I was always glad to pay it because I know if he says something needs fixed it does.......honest and professional, aint no $900 air compressor charges when all u need is a $100 wiring harness to fix the A/C

Dan's Corner Garage
Great shop. Honest and professional service. We highly recommend Dan to everyone we know. He will give you a itemized breakdown (parts and labor) of everything you need to fix on you vehicle. He will then rank them in order of priority, so you can take care of them based on your schedule and budget. After a repair, he will tell you exactly what was done, and even show you your old parts.

Toby's Automotive
I tell all my friends about this business. They are honest, dependable and truly one in a million. My vehicle has 200,000 miles and runs like new because I take it to Toby's. Their guarantee is good as gold and so are the guys that work there. Can't say enough about their excellent service.

AutoNation Toyota Pinellas Park
When it comes to car dealers, they are more than fair. Free service for 2 years, great discounts, $0 down, low interest rates. Nothing is set in stone. You can negotiate price and interest rate. Don't pay more than 5%. Be willing to walk away. Refuse or decline any add-ons like appearance package, extended warranty or gap insurance. Don't pay for floor mats. They will still try. They're doing their job. Just don't do it.Bob Haney is a great salesperson. I was dreading going through the car buying experience again, but dealing with Bob made it a lot easier. I am going to go back with my daughter when she is ready for a new car. I was actually on the fence about the make of car that I was going to get -also looking at Nissan, Honda, VW, etc., and my initial experience with Bob when I had just started looking was what brought me back to Auto Nation and Toyota. He's very laid back; not high pressure at all. I can honestly say that Bob exceeded my expectations.

Lucky Cars
Horrible cars that seem great when you're checking them out but are rife with problems. Do not go here.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
