Salute Ristorante Italiano
Disappointing. My wife and I both come from Italian families, just moved to the Moon Valley area right down the street, and have been quite eager to dine here. Atmosphere is nice & cozy as expected, but after we were seated, no one ever came to our table to greet us or take orders. It was not busy. After 20 minutes - no exaggeration - I had to leave my table to go up front to get the hostess to get our family table service. My meal was very good, but my wife's Veal Michelangelo was very, very dry & hard to chew. The waitress said to us, "Anything else?" when bringing us dessert. Really? She should have offered espresso, cappuccino, coffee or something. "Anything else?" was not a nice way for a good wait staff to greet guests at a place touted to be fine Italian.Update: Spoke w/ Jennifer who claimed to be the manager there of 3 years, told her of our family's experience. She did not have much to say except for a fumbling, "sorry, we'll make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else", blamed the problems on the recent change of ownership. With the good reviews from what appeared to be seasoned patrons and/or regulars, we were willing to come back for another try, but Jennifer offered absolutely no incentive for us to come back, and didn't even try. Places like this intended to be the old school dining style are hard to find, and seems like this place may be going the way of the dinosaur, too, when staff doesn't try anymore. That's really too bad. Best of luck to the new owners.

Top Shelf Mexican Food & Cantina
We went to Top Shelf because we had a coupon from our Entertainment book for a buy one, get one free entree. When we got to the restaurant, we hung out in the waiting area for a few minutes before the hostess came to seat us, but we enjoyed looking at the fish tank while we waited. Our waitress was nice and kept our drinks filled and the food was pretty good, but maybe a little pricey for the portions. When the bill came, we gave the waitress our coupon. She brought back the bill and our kid's meal was the one given to us free. When we asked, she said she tried to give us the second adult entree as the free meal, but the manager wouldn't let her. She then had the manager come talk to us, but he wouldn't budge on the matter. I have never been to a restaurant that considers a kid's meal to be an entree. It seems this company is more concerned with making a couple bucks than good service that brings back return customers.

Romano's Macaroni Grill
went to the Macaroni Grill Yesterday at 3pm by the Agua Fria freeway. We wont be going back. Service is slow, the waitress has no help from the other staff who is supposed to be keeping you in bread and drinks. One of our appetizers was not served until the entrees came , even though we kept asking where it second coctail was not served for a good 25 minutes after I ordered it. The entrees were cheap, mostly a portion of pasta in a huge bowl and not alot of meat or sausage like it said on the menu. The appetizers were good but chincy for the price. All in All not good tasty authentic Italian food.I know it was Mothers Day but they should have had more people working and not worrying about just making a profit.I wont be wasting my money again.

The Cheesecake Factory
I'm one of those people that LOVES it when a restaurant offers me something to nibble while I wait for my food, which is probably why I frequent Mexican food restaurants (mmmm... chips & salsa!), but when I'm not in the mood for Mexican I love to go to Cheesecake Factory. They bring out little loaves of sourdough and this deliciously soft brown bread. Love them both. My favorite meal is the Bang Bang Chicken & Shrimp -- the name is not only fun to say but it is yUMmy! This dish is thai-inspired with peanuts and a little bit of spice. Oh and be sure to save room for dessert -- there's LOTS (like 50) amazing cheesecakes to choose from.

This is the most wonderful Italian restaurant you can find in the area. We have been coming here for six or seven years when we are in town, and if you haven't tried it you should. Do make a reservation. Everything we have ever ordered has been delicious - we always start with the stuffed mushrooms, and my husband generally orders one of the veal dishes. If osobucco (spelling?) veal shank is on the menu the night you go, it is incredible.Another favorite of mine is the chicken parmigiana. Did I mention the place is charming and the service impeccable?

I ordered the nine iron panini & it was amazing! If I could eat here everyday I would. My husband also order a panini which was almost as delicious as mine! Their prices are very reasonable prices. Our paninis were $9.75 each. Our friends order 8 types of bruschetta. Their bruschetta is $14 for 4 types. Every single bruschetta was really good! My favorite was the Tomato jam & the one that had bacon on it lol. Service was a little slow but they kept our drinks coming and our water filled. water

Was a little nervous when driving to tjis restaurant as the neighborhood isn't that great. However once inside it has yhe old time Italian atmosphere. The waiter couldn't be more helpful and tje food was cooked perfectly. As we were from out of town and meeting friends who were also from out of town. We sat for over 3 hrs and they could not jave been more gracious. I would go back here again.

Popo's Mexican Food
Food is good BUT when i order take out, the last couple of times I have told them to swap the rice for beans. Well, they don't listen! I said I can't eat rice that I'm allergic! I had forgotten to check this time! Other times the gals have been very good about it. PLEASE have your employees LISTEN dang-it!!! AND CHECK THE ORDER!!! THAT'S WHAT WE PAY YOU FOR! !!

QDOBA Mexican Eats
The food is good. The employees aren't. The argue in front of customers and are not polite to the customers. High school students get free drinks. I showed the cashier my ID and she did not believe me since the picture was from 3 years ago. Gave me my receipt and then walked away into the back without giving me my drink. Did not turn around when I tried calling her.

Elephant Bar
We've enjoyed the Elephant Bar and Grill in Peoria occasionally, and we're VERY glad we found the one in No. Phoenix now. I especially like the wok dishes ( too many good choices though) Menu is extensive, a global menu theme leaves choices for everyone. During peak hours it can get busy but they have plentiful staff to keep things moving, and the food is worth it!

Just a moment...
