  • Ban D.

Every time we go in there we have an excellent experience. The staff is friendly and the food is great! I must say, I've been going to Mexican Restaurants for many years and this one is top notch! Oh and there is a Server who is amazing ... goes above and beyond. Really good! Name is Wil.

  • great food friendly atomshere

can eat take lite rail to games no hassels. have best baja chicken chimi

  • Best chips N Salsa

I have been here a couple of times hince the word couple. The first time i went there i thought it was really good i do love their chips n salsa. Keep in mind i was prego the second time when i went, craving mexican food. I guess i went on a bad day or something; well it was very busy and the service was very poor that day. It was like the waitress/waiter forgot we were there at all. All i know is that i was waiting for a while and a family that came in after we had already been seated, the waitress/waiter decided to take care of them first. Also i was not served any drinks (water) or chips considering i was there before them i should of had those already and had my order taken first. As a prego woman i let my emotions get the best of me and stormed out but i gave the manager a piece of my mind before i left, he did however try to make things right but that was not good enough for me considering i was prego. Needless to say i found a replacement that day.

  • Wonderful!

My husband and I were visiting the Phoenix area for his graduation from the University of Phoenix. Everyone we talked to said we HAD to get Mexican food while we were in town, but no one suggested a particular place. We stopped to ask for directions and a good place to eat and were directed to Macayo's, which was about a mile from where we were at the time. We found it, and were definitely NOT disappointed! The atmosphere was wonderful, our waitress was extremely helpful and the food was outstanding! Macayo's is definilty on my ""return to"" list if I ever make it back to the Phoenix area!

  • Violently ill

Love the taste of the food, but everytime we have ordered, we have gradually gotten more ill. This last time, two of us from the office were violently sick for 4 days. I did file a complaint with the authorities. I don't know what the other locations are like, but stay clear of this one. Something isn't right. RUN! RUN FAR AWAY!

  • Good Mexican and a land mark

Only been in AZ for a year and always wanted to go, so we did. The wait wasn't to long and the staff didn't lie about how long it was going to take to be setted. That's a plus. The food was only a little above avarage but our wait staff was great. The chairs are to close together. Everytime the large waitress who had the far side of the room had to cross by behind me she banged both the man behind me and my chairs. It was a bit annoying. So get a booth. Oh, it is loud in there so dont go to pop the question or get any catching up done with a friend. We will go back there is food I didn't try yet.

  • Macayo's Very Authentic!

I'm new to the Valley from the Midwest (May 2004). I have eaten at other Mexican restaurants, but to me, Macayo's is the BEST! The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in the heart of Mexico City; the food is muy bueno! You can have your meal prepared to your liking from very mild to make-you-sweat hot. There are several locations throughout the Phoenix area. Check one out soon; you won't regret it!
