YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

After a late evening flight, we had an easy time renting our car from Budget, with reasonable hold placed on our debit card (not something all rental car companies will do). The customer service rep did not oversell us on additional insurance, upgrades, etc. The drawback of this location is long shuttle bus ride from airport and a long walk to find our rental car in the parking area (no one pulls it around for you).
6.Payless Car Rental
1712 E Rental Car Way Ste 121
At this point I am looking for a way to take stars away. Maybe I could rate this rental experience a few black holes. Anyway, the facts. My wife and I rented a car in Phoenix. A Nissan Sentra. It was cheap, not really all that clean, but it was something to get around town for a few days. I think it may have been the third day we had it , when that evening while driving west on Northern ave. the glass mirror fell out of the drivers side rear view mirror assembly. OK I thought. In the morning we called Payless Car Rentals and they told us to bring the car back as driving it this way could be unsafe. I agree. Next morning we return the car, fill out an incident report, they give us a different car and away we go. Let it be said at this point that except for the missing mirror glass from the drivers door and a few miles the car was returned in the same condition as when we first rented it. We received a different car from Payless Car Rentals, a Mazda something, again not too clean, but suitable to our needs. A couple days later we returned the car and carried on with our trip, in which Phoenix was only one stop. A month after we arrived home we received a letter from a representative of Subrogation Management Team, San Antonio, Texas. In this letter we were informed that we were being held financially responsible for the damages. The letter made no mention of an amount being charged. A month (approximately) later we received a second letter stating that we owed $1074.15. As we were not involved in any accidents or other incidents we thought this amount to be rather excessive and sent a letter to a representative of Subrogation Management Team, San Antonio, Texas. In this letter to her we suggested a payment of $191.96 based upon the prices and rates in the letter she sent to us. a representative of Subrogation Management Team, San Antonio, Texas responded with a letter again asking for an amount of $1074.15. She also included pictures of the license plate of the car we rented and a disassembled car door.( I have worked as a mechanic, and this is why I know that the car door was disassembled. Not damaged.) This is the last correspondence that we have received and we have not yet responded. To anyone thinking of renting a car from these people we would suggest (strongly) get all the insurance that they offer no matter how tired you are from travelling (we thought we were doing this but we just did not pay attention. our bad.) Take pictures of everything. Including the people who check your rental car with you. Have them give you a copy of every piece of paper they scribble a note on. Read the reviews on this company. You get what you pay for! This is probably going to be an ongoing process. Please stay tuned. Have fun and good luck!

Can't believe the unprofessionalism and lack of customer care of this company. It seems as though this is one of the worst locations, but trying to resolve an issue with corporate is just as bad. Had to wait an hour for a car. Didn't get to review my contract because the lady just handed it to me and said my car was in the stall and then walked away. This created a problem when I returned my car and thought I had prepaid fuel but it wasn't in my contract. Had to pay $160 for a tank of gas! Was told corporate billing/customer service would fix it. Called and was told corporate has nothing to do with charges and couldn't change it. Was referred back to Phoenix Airport. Have called a dozen times and left 3-4 voicemails over the past two days with no return. It feels like their phone just lives in a broom closet so no one has to answer it. Can't believe this has yet to be resolved. I will never rent through Hertz again!
