I have dealt with Junanita for many year's. Owners Carlos & his wife, I have nothing good to say about. They were stealing from whatever angle they could. Now that the place has been sold, all new Doctor's & staff are Dominican!!! They have changed all rules & regulations, which clients are upset. My regards to Dr. Ballas, a brillant Dr. and also to Miquel Colon as he has already left Junanita to enjoy some retirement. Best wishes to office staff, like Maria and others who knew me...I wish all of you nothing but the best. Thank you for all of you whom have helped me. One door closes, another one opens. I would highly recommend to everyone to avoid becoming a part of this agency's foster program. I have never worked with a more disorganized / incompetent agency in my life, and while that would be bad enough the fact that they have no respect for their foster parents and treat them like slaves makes working with this agency unbearable. The kids who enter the foster program need a caring team working together to help them through this difficult time in their lives. It is unfortunate that this agency while claiming to be team oriented and wanting the best for children does everything in their power to poison relations with their foster parents. If you are a person who asks no questions, is willing to be ordered around at a moments notice, and basically enter into a form of indentured servitude this is the agency for you. If you are looking for a place where you will be respected and your are a valued part of a team trying to help hurting children then I suggest you look somewhere else. And please do not be fooled by their supposed "Christian" background as I have seen very little of the Christian in their actions, and it appears to be more of a marketing ploy than an actual philosophical stance.

My son was seeing a psychiatrist and therapist at Belmont. The therapist stopped providing services because he was too much to handle. For my son to be able to see the child psychiatrist he would have to see the therapist still. Before I had a chance to seek another therapist at Belmont his case was closed leaving him without a child psychiatrist. He is on medication and some of the medications can have bad side effects if the medication is stopped sudenly. They did not care what I said or listen to any of my concerns.

The hospital is nasty. I seen one person cleaning the floor I was on one day. The next day they put some lady on the floor and she didn't do anything. All she did was empty the trash. I told the supervisor and he didn't do anything. The Doctor's and the nurses are great but the housekeeping crew suck. If you ever in there and u see this young kid on your floor. Just know he will clean your room. The rest of them are just dirty. So you know what they house look like. Just NASTY

This service is also available through the same delegate line as the JFK Mobile Emergency Team. Central Intake / Crisis Intervention provides a central access point to help reduce the use of psychiatric hospitalization and connect people to services with the least disruption possible to their everyday lives. Short-Term Care & Specialized Services This division provides outpatient therapies to adults and children living in Center City and North Philadelphia at JFK and at the JFK bilingual and bicultural center. Hours are flexible. Locations are accessible by public transportation. The goal of this division is to provide high quality treatment that can be maximally effective in a short period of time.
