Set yourself up for disappointment. Hotel rooms not the cleanest. Bathroom tubs had rust stains. Bed sheets had yellow stains. Windows had cobwebs. I was served breakfast on a dirty tray. I won't come back here. Not for the price I paid. I had better for cheaper.

The Doubletree Hotel in Center City Philadelphia was fabulous. It is right on the Avenue of the Arts (S. Broad Street) a few blocks from city hall. When you check in, they give you cookies...Restuarants are conveniently located around the hotel. The view from our room was towards city hall.

Visited Philly about a week ago. Lucky to find this gem for a weekend stay. We booked the Presidential suite and it was fantastic. The bathroom has heated floors, a full body shower and is decorated beautifully. Neighborhood and house were very quiet and comfortable. Walking distance to South Street. Make sure you follow the directions that are sent to you with your confirmation as there are two separate buildings for this B&B. We went to the wrong one first because...well...because I'm a guy and don't read directions all that well. Opps!

I was hopping for a hotel that was in better shape. Bathroom dirty, wallpaper peeling. I did see that there are plans on redoing the hotel which is much needed. The staff was good but for the money better places to stay.

We have boarded our 2 dogs many times since this facility became available under the present management. We have always been delighted with the attention they received from the staff. They have been boarded here for as long as 10 days at a time. The facility is very clean and well organized; the dogs seem happy to be there. Jared, the manager, is painstaking, detail oriented, and kind. We've always been able to leave them there knowing that they were happy and in competent, caring hands. I would highly recommend this facility for boarding, daycare, or grooming services.

Their twist on the philly cheese steak makes the traditional seem weak. The meat is delicious and ground to perfection with fantastic cheese melted troughout and then imagine a multi layer filo dough that is deep fried to perfection and you have the best philly cheese steak the Four seasons style!

11.Chestnut Hill Hotel
8229 Germantown Ave
I am very surprised by all of the negative reviews here, but I should start by saying that I have only been to the Chestnut Grille in 2011, not in past years. They seem to have changed management and are renovating the hotel and restaurant. I go here all the time. This is my husband and I's favorite restaurant. This is where we take our friends from out of town. The food is consistently delicious and affordable. They have the best burgers in Chestnut Hill. The staff is pleasant, and they have a great bar with a vareity of on-tap beers. It might not be the fanciest or most gourmet restaurant, but if you want low key, delicious, comfortable food at a reasonable price, go here!

Best service ever! We arrived in the middle of the night and the desk arranged room service to bring some herb tea and snacks for us weary travelers. The service was excellent with actual real plates and silverware, unlike the paper and plastic products one gets at The Logan. Our whole stay was fabulous with fabulous service. Clean and well maintained, comfy beds, friendly service, beautiful to look at. Bravo

I have never stayed in a small hotel that had so many amenities! The reasonable rates include a free continental breakfast, wifi, several movie chanels. They even have an arrangement with a nearby parking facility ($10.00 for 24 hours). The rooms are clean and well appointed. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

I highly recommend the Radisson-Warwick if coming to Philadelphia or just want a night in town. I blocked off rooms for my wedding nearby and the staff was great. I could'nt have asked for better service. They upgraded the bride and groom to an executive suite which was perfect because it was large enough for the bridal party to get ready. Room service is from the restaurant downstairs so the food was excellent and fast. The location is perfect, right off of Rittenhouse Square. The hotel has been recently renovated so it has a great historic vibe, but with modern touches. Loved it!

This place is a must if you are looking for a night of fun and great music. The greatest pianist I have ever heard plays here, I think every Friday. I was there last night and they were filming for the CBS show ""HACK"", but while they were in between shoots, Steve - who I think is the house pianist - dazzled the customers and the film crew with his amazing songlist - from Train to the Eagles to Alicia Keys to Billy Joel. It didn't matter what was requested. This guy could play it and play it dead on key. AMAZING.
19.Club Quarters Reservations

The hotel was nice and clean. They have a very good security feature. You must swipe your room card in order to ride the elevator. There is nothing luxurious about the room but it served its purpose. It was smaller than most hotels but big enough to be comfortable. You are in the heart of great shopping, restaurants and bars. There is plenty to do for all ages.

We stayed over Valentine's day and our anniversary. My husband and I were extremely pleased with our room! We were upgraded for whatever reason, the location is central to everything and there was never a dull moment. The staff was respectful, friendly, and efficient. Definitely an enjoyable stay and a bargain to boot!

I got my rooms on priceline for $55 a night. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The noise level is somewhat high if you are by the street because you're right in the thick of things. Location is great because you are right near chinatown, the chinatown buses, and reading terminal market.
22.Hampton Inn Philadelphia Center City-Convention Center
1301 Race St
My husband and I stayed here for a week while attending a convention. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Any requests we had were accomodated. It's a great bargain! Sometimes the breakfast room can be a little crowded, but nothing to make a fuss over and never for very long. They always had adequate amounts of food and it tasted fresh. For lunch or an early dinner, try the Reading Terminal Market which is just a few blocks away. Or try Chinatown a few blocks away as well! The Penn View Grill is pretty good too!

You wont get the ""fluff"" in the hotel or pay an arm and a leg for a snooty attitude. You pay nothing for a smile and get treated like royalty. If you want the ""fluff"", the hotel is surrounded by spas, gyms, nail salons, top notch restaurants, galleries and historical attractions. The staff is superb and the rooms are emaculate, nicely decorated and comfortable If you like quality, but don't like an empty bank account, this is your hotel.

This is a very charming b&b in an absolutely terrific location with all the amenities that business travelers, like myself prefer, e.g., phones and televisions in rooms & computers with free internet access. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, but unobtrusive. The breakfasts are simple, but nicely done. The only drawback? Parking is really inconvenient, and the guys who run the outdoor parking lot across the street are incredibly rude.

I knew from the time I walked in that the ALoft was a Great Decision. Check-in was a Breeze with Friendly Customer Service. The Lobby has a Nice Bar and Ample Seating, Inside and Outside, there's a Large Flat Screen TV and a User-Friendly Business Center That I used. Our room was Great! Modern Decor, Clean, Comfortable and Great Decor. No Bath Tub But the Room Had an Over-sized Shower with Good Pressure and a Dispenser that Dispensed Shampoo/Soap and Lot's of Towels, a large Flat Screen and lot's of Chanels to choice from, a Coffee Maker and a Mini fridge . This is a Non-Smoking Hotel But it wasn't a Problem to go down to the Lobby and go outside to Smoke...you don;t have to go out front of the Hotel to smoke you can step outside where there's plenty of Seating and Ashtrays to Accommodate Smokers. I Will Book with the ALoft Again! I highly Recommend This Hotel.
30.Liberties US Hotel
4439 Main St
This is a classy [though casual] bar/restaurant on Main Street in Manayunk next to the fire station. It is also known as Liberties US Hotel Bar. The menu isn't very long, but the food is excellent. We usually go for the fried calamari and the sirloin steak salads. I have never had a bad meal here, and I've eaten here dozens of times. I've also done my share of drinking at their bar. It has a very good selection, not a lot of top shelf stuff, but some. Good size drinks. The people working there are generally pleasant, and a lot of good looking people come in here too.
