501 S 45th St
I've been to a lot of great restaurants, but this is by far the best meal I've ever had. Everyone in my party was blown away. Upon asking one, who frequents Europe and lives for Michelin starred restaurants, how this compared to his most recent experiences, he replied ""This just blows them out of the water"". The service was casual and friendly, the atmosphere intimate, and the food outstanding. We went for dinner, prepared to open one bottle of wine (out of 3 options we brought), and have a quick meal. We ended up staying for three hours and polishing off all the wine. We were kept busy with an array of amuse bouche options between courses, and our main meals were so incredible conversation simply stopped. Just go. Go now. Just do it.

I never tried this place but i was told it is very good
7131 Germantown Ave
My wife and I visited this restaurant probably 10 years ago, loved it, and then forgot about it. Recently, when I needed a place to take 10 people for a surprise 40 birthday party for my wife, I remembered it....and won't ever forget it again!! They were one of the few restaurants that I found that were willing to take a reservation for 10 on a Saturday night. The restaurant itself is elegant, the service great, and the food outstanding. Everyone in our party was satisfied with their meal. I had a cold cucumber and beet soup with sour cream and dill that was unbelievable. The duck that I had for my main course was great as well. The clincher---over the course of dinner we drank a lot of wine. When the bill came I paid the amount due (which was extremely reasonable by the way) and added a 20% tip not realizing that the gratuity was already added for our party of 10. The waitress could have pocketed that money and I would have never known. Instead, she returned to our table and informed me of my error. Umbria has won my business forever. I will tell everyone who will listen about this gem in Mount Airy!! Try it--you won't be disappointed.
7.Little Pete's Restaurant
1904 Chestnut St
This place should have a ten out of ten for being one of the only diners open 24 hours a day and that delivers 24 hours a day. Drunken college students have never been this lucky. An omelet and pancakes delivered to your door while you are recovering on your couch is priceless. Little Petes does not try to be anything its not, which is why we love it there. The service is fast, efficient and the waitresses (never seen a waiter there) have no desire to talk to the drunken masses waiting to stuff their stomachs full of delicious breakfast food and really can we blame them? And as if they know we are dying from too much alcohol abuse they never stop refilling your somehow always empty water glass. The omelets are huge and delicious and are served with a huge pile of home fries and toast. All of the breakfast food is amazingly tasty with portions large enough to sober you up. I definitely recommend Little Petes for when after the bars close (make sure you get there before two otherwise you will have to wait in line) and for recovering the morning.
8.Woodland Village Restaurant

9.Midtown II Restaurant
122 S 11th St
Nice friendly environment to take your family and friends without breaking the bank. Large menu selection with above average food. Friday and Saturday nights after the clubs close is hard to find seating but that is to be expected.

13.El Rincon Tico Restaurant
6922 Bustleton Ave
First off, it's not a Mexican restaurant, it's Costa Rican. The food is simple and delicious, especially the ceviche. The owners run the place with a small, friendly staff and are extremely hospitable.
14.Salad Alley Restaurant
1101 W Montgomery Ave
This is a great spot. Has some great food at a good price. The best!
358 Snyder Ave
I love the sushi and chinese food they offer at Terryin. The eel sushi is my favorite and their soups are perfect to warm your belly. The staff is wonderful and have even served us during their off hours. Definitely recommend this place!
16.Desi Village Restaurant
4527 Baltimore Ave
Some of the best Indian food I have ever tasted. It is a little dark in there and it is also a little pricy, but it is soooooo worth it. Their Biriyani is to die for. I am an Irish-American that got on an Indian food kick after a few of my (Indian) friends at work turned me on to the food. This is my favorite place to go to get Indian food so far. Oh, also....if you go for the buffet, they constantly keep everything warm and the bread is kept warm as well. It is a top notch establishment.
127 W Allegheny Ave
The food is the best. Its clean good service you also get a lot of food for for nothing. They also have the best damn coffee I've ever had and the waiters are polite and kind. I love this diner its the best!
18.Hong Fa Restaurant
1408 N 52nd St
The service was great! You should really go to this place! The restaurant is clean. The food tastes good!
19.Mayfair Madrid Restaurant
7313 Frankford Ave
Fill 'er up on coffee, eggs anyway you like 'em and french toast that puts the gallic to shame! All with a friendly ""hon"". We used to go here every week when my grandparents lived up that way; it was like a second home. And the prices are better than it's more famous neighbor, the Mayfair Diner. Gosh, I miss the Madrid!
13032 Bustleton Ave Ste D
We always want to try something different. So we went to Lanjeron for dinner thanks to recommendations from Wired 96.5's restaurant of the week. I don't even know where to start... The food is amazing. Try the conch as an appetizer. Oh my is it wonderful! We had the Chilean Seabass and Veal chops for dinner. Both were absolutely superb. Lastly, we had a special Russian dessert and creme brule that was out of this world! But, what made the experience so much more special was the excellent service. We were well taken care of with warmth and kindness. This was truly the best dinner experience we have ever had.
325 N 12th St
If you want very good food at low prices, this is the place. Plus it is family owned and ran. Jany and husband will take your order and Son will fix it. Friendly, Good Food, Great Service. Plus you have to try Blu Cheese BBQ Chicken Steak Sandwich.
231 S 24th St
Sandy's is my ideal hole-in-the-wall diner. The food is great, neither greasy nor overpriced. The breakfast food is great, and I'm not going to complain about paying $7 for eggs, [fluffy, delicious!!!] pancakes, choice of meat and a coffee! The lunch and dinner menu doesn't disappoint either. They make a decent cheesesteak, and they bake fresh turkey every day and it is delicious! And I love the ambiance. It's a tiny whole-in-the-wall place. The tables are small, but definitely big enough for all of your food. And the waitress is an adorable, sweet little Greek woman. \r I much prefer Sandy's to the nearby Midtown Diner, which often disappoints.
23.Freddy & Tony's Restaurant
201 W Allegheny Ave
Awesome Spanish Food!! Tastes just like my Grandmom used to make. Brings back nostalgic memories of Puerto Rican food from when I was a kid.
5344 Master St
This place is strictly take-out but they have the best shrimp and broccoli this side of philly. I've been going there 'bout 10 yrs.
1350 Wagner Ave
This place has provided me reliable service for a very long time. Their prices on malted beverages cannot be beat by anybody. Indeed my only complaint is that they do not prevent the homeless men who hang out there from asking me for spare change. I find that to be hella annoying. Sometimes they give me free fruit.
5501 Vine St
This place is disgusting it's not even a Restaurant it's a little section of a grocery store where they make sandwiches. I ordered 2 pork chops and they gave me 2 super salty smokes pork chops. I called back and spoke with the guy who works there in Spanish and he laughed at me. Well I'm Puerto Rican and this is a Dominican Establishment and there's really little to no difference in our cooking except some seasonings. If there was an option of a negative 5 stars they have completely deserve that I was so happy to know that at first to find out that there was a Latino Caribbean food establishment in West Philly.
27.El Provocon Restaurant II
141 W Wyoming Ave
Do Not eat at this place the service is horrible. The chicken is often gritty and spoiled tasting. The attitude of the employees are bad . They don't greet the customers or say thank you. Just a completely bad place . And they are very consistent with the poor service.
