Food is fantastic. Everything they have it great. Delivery is fast. The only negative I have is they Do Not take credit card for delivery. Do they not know it is 2015 and not 1915. They need to get up to date

Anybody who thinks this is just another dive bar is sadly mistaken. They have a great selection of local and craft beers at really low prices, pretty good bar food and the atmosphere can't be beat. One of my favorite bars.

Proto is definately one of the better bars in Old City. The music is phoenominal on Saturday nights - house, progressive house, some vocals. Service is great and the staff is pretty friendly. At the bar you can have a conversation with someone without screaming, but still hear and feel the music. It is closed until September for renovations, but the grand opening will be something not to be missed! Proto is my favorite place to lounge on Saturdays befor hitting up after hours clubs.

If you like Monk's, you'll like Nodding Head. The food is very similar, outstanding muscles and sandwiches. The only difference is that here the brews are in house. Having tried many of the micro-breweries in the area, I would say that for beer alone, this gets the prize.

The history related to this great pub is the local flavor, but those who ask and find the history about Abraham Lincoln upstairs is in for a treat. Clean, great food, a place to maKe friends if you can speak up and be polite! The beer taps flow and the bottles are flying and so are you if you know how to have fun. Great sports bar too. Don't miss St. Patty's Day at Finnigan's, it's worth the trip after the Festival at Penns Landing.

Great food at really good prices! The first time I went to Mc Manamin's Tavern was when I was working across the street at a gallery that was freezing in the winter. This was before Germantown Avenue was chic like it is now! I had the chili there, and I swear it was the best chili I had ever had! SInce then, I've been there so many times because the food is always on point. The fries are delicious, when they have fish, it's fresh and not at all prepared like a bar. It's just a nice, neighborhood place that you could take a date (if you were so inclined), or go to with your peeps and watch a game!

After the saint patricks day parade a group of about 40 of us all ages included headed to the cherry street tavern, we were greeted with smiles from staff and customers alike.the selection of drinks, food and music were great, this place is like an old neighborhood bar where you feel comfortable, yet hip and fun enough to bring a date.the cherry street is very clean the food is excellent, the drinks are cold and the owners treat you like family, why would you go any place else? We won't . Thank you colleen.

A relaxed and open atmosphere where the bartenders make you feel welcome and part of the crowd. The bar food is well prepared with a little bit of everything in the offering. Plenty of micro brew beer on tap with new additions being added all the time and a good web site to let one know what's being poured and any up coming special events.\r \r Pros food, beer, friendly atmosphere and price\r Cons would like to see Guiness on tap once in a while when I'm tired of micro stuff

Stumbled on this place looking for a place to eat before a Phillies game. While the service was just a hair slow for a not so busy Thursday night, it wasn't slow enough to complain about. I got the Wake and Bacon burger. If you're looking to speed up the possibility of a heart attack, this is your burger! A fried egg with bacon and cheese- very good. I like my burgers well done. They did it perfectly, giving it great flavor without ruining the meat or drying it out. My cousin got the turkey burger which he liked very much, and his step-father got the featured special chicken dinner which he liked a lot. Comfortable atmosphere for a pub-the bar and dining area are separated so it's not terribly noisy, and the prices were quite reasonable for a place in a high rent area. I also liked the fact that there's a SEPTA subway stop just outside the front door for the Broad St. line which we were able to hop right on to take it to the stadium! I look forward to going back.

At the end of a LONG day this was a welcom oasis!! Arrived on Wednesday at approximately 6:30 PM to a VERY full bar. The Bartender, Remee, was incredibly accomodating - answering all questions with patience - even though she had plenty of others to tend to. Everyone at the bar seemed to understand this as I believe that everyone there received the same personal attention. Had 2 glasses of wine at the bar (from an EXTENSIVE wine list - but, hey!! It's a wine bar!!) while waiting for friends to arrive. Had some concerns that a table was not in the iminent future as it seemed many may be waiting, but as soon as a table opened up by the open-air storefront, our waitress Heather took over and ensured the table was reset and we were seated quickly. The beef satay was extremely flavorful and was a perfect medium rare. Sauce accompanying was SERIOUSLY spicy, but delicious once you knew what to expect...LOL. Several different bruscettas were delicious as well and the lamb special looked out of this world. (Though we never got past the multiple small plates we enjoyed) Heather ensured our glasses were never empty and we weren't in need of anything at anytime - when a third person arrived, an extra seat and a quick glass of wine were provided. When (not if) you visit, be sure to ask for either Remee or Heather (or both) and your service, like the food and drink, will not disappoint!!

I recently had the good fortune to stumble into this established, yet revived restaurant/bar. The atmosphere is swanky cool and relaxed. However, I write this more about the food. The menu has been beefed up from its previous iteration (from what my friends tell me). The variety and caliber of food is excellent. The crab cakes are the best outside of Maryland that I have had in a long time. Mussels: mouth wateringly succulent. What more can I say? Oh, hat's off to the chef...well done indeed, BRAVO! I will be back!

The front is very unassuming and you can easy walk right pass it. As you read the menu you realize that you walked into a new world. My friend and I happened upon it at brunch time. We shared a dogfish head theobroma, BACON bloody mary, an augus burger and french toast with dulce de leche. The burger had bacon, caramelized onions, smoked gouda, pickled longhots, chile mayonnaise. Every bite you tasted something a bit different. It wasn

My husband brought me here for my b-day. When we pulled up in front of a very unassuming building, I didn't know what to think....then we walked in! What a wonderful place! The decor went perfectly with the vibe of Ortliebs. The ceilings look like seat cushions...what a neat touch! My husband had the wings for an appetizer, which were quite tasty, and I had the seafood bisque. It came out with a Treble Clef made from a delicious and sweet balsamic vinaigrette in the middle of the bisque! DELICIOUS! For an entree, I had the Cajun steak with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. I asked for my steak medium; it came out well done and was a tad bit tough, but it was good nonetheless. The mashed potatoes were great and the asparagus were very good. My husband had the roasted chicken; he almost ate the bone! I had to stop him! He also had jalape?o cornbread which was a nice mixture of sweet and spicy. For dessert, we shared a delightful chocolate, raspberry, bread pudding. \r \r BUT WAIT...THERE'S MORE! During our meal, there was live jazz from a great band whose name I forgot (we went on a Saturday night, so maybe they are always there). I got lost in the sounds, the atmosphere and the food. What a great night! \r \r The only downside is they charge a $10 cover charge on Friday & Saturday nights even if you are dining. It was a small price to pay and you won't be sorry. I have become a life long patron after just one visit and you will too!\r \r \r

I challenge anyone to find a spot in Old City like this one. If you want to lounge and drink in a cool/laidback decor with the option to dance this is the spot. You frequently see people dancing in bars/lounges in Old City with no dance floor to do it on. This spot actually gives you the option with great DJs and a good looking crowd. Although, the place is far from a nightclub so don't expect that type of scene. Unlike other places this one works with being small. I also like the option of bottle service. Overall a great place to hang-out.
