I took my 2013 Ford Escape to this store in Peru on Sat, 1/2/2016 to replace my oil. I walk in the store to a young man shouting at me " may I help you " he said " I need my oil replace " wait in your car, it will be 10 minutes which I waited. When I finally got in thre 20 minutes later, with one car in front of me that was already was there! Had my oil replace I also bought a new filter. I was told that my oil reset light was done and that they put air in my tire and that also was reset. When I started my car to leave I notice that my oil light was still on and my low air light was also on, I told the young man about it only to be told to drive around a few miles and that they would turn off my them self, I drove all day light those lights never turn off, had them check by my Mechnic and was told they never were reset them because there a procedure to be performed in order to reset them that wasn't done! This was my far the worst customer service that I have ever been part of, they away from this place!
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
