Now,,,I have no idea what happened to these other people,,but my family has been dealing with the Ivey family for a good 50 years. My father,Earl Daw,who recently passed away,WORKED for Mr .Ivey,,the original owner.This was when the business was downtown Pensacola.When they moved to 9 Miles Rd.,,daddy kept bringing his cars to Mr.Ivey.Now,,his grandson,Doug runs things. He did add a few things,,and hired a few new guys.Maybe that's where the problem is.They should speak to Doug about their concerns.As I said,my whole family has been dealing with them for over 50 years,,that goes from calling him because I can't start my car. Wayne would send someone out,,,and tow it in,,unless he could find the small enough problem and fix it 1,2,3. Yes,,sometimes he does take days to get your car done,,but that just shows how much people trust them with their cars,,,they have a TON of cars there at any given time.And,,yes there are issues with leaving the cars out in the open all night.I personally have never had anything happen to any of our cars,or trucks.The bill,,,I suppose you may find a place cheaper,,but that's business. Every place has different prices.I just know,,,Doug,his father,,and his father have been very good to my whole big family. I,too have owed him money,,and have worked with him to pay it off. Trust between the families. When we have bought cars or trucks in our family,,we always take it to Iveys for a once over. And,,as Lauren K. said,,I would NEVER take my car to ANYONE else EVER. As for that guy with the language,,,I would have called in Doug,,confronted the man,,and I'm sure he would have been fired on the spot. Doug will NOT condon anything like that,let alone have it happen to a costumer. So,,,,thats my two cents. You can use your own judgement,,but as for me,,and my ever growing family,,,we will stick with Iveys. They haven't been in business for over 50 years for nothing. Give them a try,,tell them Earls daughter sent you.

Ivey's has been taking care of me and my family for years. I've personally been taking my vehicles (all used vehicles in need of extra TLC) to Ivey's, and they have kept me and my little babies mobile in Pensacola since 2004. They've even worked with me during hard financial times, and still let me have use of my vehicle for work. We've built a great relationship. Mr. Ivey has since retired, but his son Doug keeps the tradition going. I live downtown Pensacola, but I still make the trek to 9 Mile Road. I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else. I recently bought a car at a used car dealership that recommended Bobe's on Gulf Beach Highway to get it checked out. I wanted to take it to Ivey's, but it was a long drive, so I went with Bobe's. My car had a small oil leak, completely visible by me, and the man at Bobe's said he didn't see anything wrong with it, that it was just fine. Two weeks later I noticed some problems, smoking, etc. I took it to Ivey's just barely making it in time before serious problems with the radiator/engine would have occurred. It was COVERED in caked on oil. They fixed the problem and cleaned the engine.I won't take it anywhere else again. Those guys are like family. And they really care about what's going on with my car and my life, and do whatever it is I need to keep a single mom like me on the road. They are busy ALL YEAR LONG. And there is a reason for it. They do good quality work and don't try to rip people off. I do have to leave my car in the morning for them to look at it that day, and they always call the same afternoon to tell me what they've found. It is a thriving business, and has been open in Pensacola, thriving, for 44 years for a reason.

Vannoy's Tires Inc
During May 2013 I bought 4 new tires from an online tire seller and chose Vannoy's on N. 9th Ave. from among the list of their partner tire installers. When I was paying for the tire installation at Vannoy's, I told the manager, Ms. Vannoy, that I wanted a road hazard warranty. She became outraged at me, for whatever reason I don't know, and said she would not sell me a road hazard warranty because I didn't buy the tires from Vannoy's, but I didn't understand what she was ranting about. She did agree, however, to sell me a lifetime rotate and balance contract, but only in response to my asking for one - she never offered one nor explained anything about why she disliked my questions. The store did mount and balance the tires properly, but the car's TPMS sensor is lit and she refused to discuss anything about the TPMS valves and gaskets when I asked about that. I can only guess that she somehow dislikes being an installer for an online tire seller and takes out her frustration about that on her customers. That was a very disturbing and memorable experience for me. I recommend looking elsewhere to buy tires, and that's what I'll do when I need new ones again.

Mr Transmission
LOVED this place!! I have a Jeep Patriot with a CVT transmission that began overheating and causing trouble! I first went to the dealer and they said it would cost me over $5,000!!!! ���� Took it into Mr. transmission and they were very helpful with any information about my transmission problems and honest!! The gentleman that I spoke with told me how long it would take to fix it if I left it but said it might be sooner! that way he wouldn't be lying to me about the time table we were looking at! he said 7 work days and 2 days later they called and said it was finished!!!! They priced a rebuild around $3,100, but when they called they told me they were able to SAVE me $200 by not replacing a pump that was still in great condition!! any other place would have pocketed that money but not them! I have been driving it for 2 weeks and it sounds and works great!! Also got a FREE 12 month warranty on the transmission!!

I won't take my vehicles anywhere else! I have been taking my vehicles there for years, and I have never had them do any service on anything without calling with an estimate first. My mother was taking her car to a local competitor, and they were telling her she needed all sorts of things done on her car. She would call me worried about these things, and was upset all the time. I had her start taking it to Ivey's and they take good care of her without telling her she needs things she doesn't need. I have sent both my children there, and they have never had problems either. I am not sure why someone said they are expensive, either. You can shop comparisons before you ever have anything done, and it will be the same or more expensive everywhere else. I am a woman who has been taken advantage of by other service centers, but have never been taken advantage of by Ivey's!

I've always been told that if you need a duplicate chipped key or computerized key for your vehicle, you have to go to the dealer. Not so. Autolock Solutions was able to cut me a new chipped key for my truck for less than half the price that the dealer would have charged (I paid $45 when the dealer would have charged upwards of $100).I had no idea that a locksmith could buy the same programming equipment that they use at the dealer until I was getting a house key copied at Pensacola's Locksmith & Gunsmith on Garden Street and saw a sign they had saying they could copy chipped keys. When I returned, they told me they don't do them there anymore because Steve, who used to work there, recently decided to start his own business specializing in computerized keys.

These guy's are fantastic, they took my 235,000mi 2006 Suburban and made it look almost brand new. I had leather work completed/repaired(outstanding) I hade a high gloss buff and detail completed on the exterior(outstanding). They did things to my SUV that I did not expect. wheel wells detailed, exhaust pipe looks brand new. Interior cleaned to perfection. Window tint repair (outstanding). Well worth every penny paid. I'm so satisfied I'm having my wife's SUV's window tinted this weekend. These guys are professionals and pay attention to each and every detail, nothing missed. I would like to take this opportunity to write a review on Advanced Detail and Tint Center of Pensacola, Florida.Recently I went to them to have my 2006 Toyota Sienna Van detailed inside and out. Since I have never had this done before in the 7 years I owned it, there was no doubt it needed it. When I went to pick my van up I could not believe the difference in the appearance both inside and out. Steve Ciccone and his staff did nothing short of an outstanding job bringing back to life the color which shinned bright and pleasant to look at.I would highly recommend to everyone if you want a quality and professional job detailing your vehicle take it to Advanced Detail and Tint Center. You will not be disappointed.

I made an appt at 8 P.M. 03-13-14 online for 8:00 A.M. the next morning..when I arrived Tyler greeted me and said I must be the guy for the appt...incredible service and I was out of there by 8:35..I was so impressed I went and got my truck for them to put tires on it.This is not the norm in this industry..do one thing and do it spectacular! I am very very pleased and will let everyone know that this is the place to be.By the way, everyone looked clean and acted like they loved their job...find that at Pep Boys, etc? Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.
