Armour Tile Co.
Do not use this company. Hunter is a liar and does not even know his own products. We specifically asked for a certain stain resistant grout, even gave him the pamphlet with color choices. He says "Oh I have this". Well come to find out he used Tek Accu color and even told me this was stain resistant. Not true. He was suppose to use the Tek Power grout Even the store we got the tile from had wrote down Tek Power. When we discovered this mistake, he refused to return calls and even blocked my phone from calling him. He has made no attempt to offer suggestions or even try to help.He has not even responded the BBB complaint we filed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF HIS WORK AND REFUSED TO EVEN DISCUSS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO HIS MISTAKE.

Don's Custom Tile & Remodeling
Needed a bathroom overhaul--wall demolish, floor tile, and around bathtub tile, 2800 bucks. The bathroom is so small that a short person could lay in it and touch opposite walls. I read Don's reviews and thought we were safe--I don't know what happened! I have learned one big lesson though.... NEVER COMPROMISE GOOD SERVICE for PRICE. Don wrote out an agreement that we would pay half up front, the rest after. First day on the job--he was late and left early. He'd come in at 9 or 10am after promising 8am, have lunch at noon, then leave no later than 3pm. Considering one of us had to be off work to be there--we were pretty ticked for this to be repeated again and again.Don said if we could front 400 more bucks, then he would install the bathtub for free, (which hadn't been part of the deal). We did it.One day Don called us and said he needed MORE money up front, like 250. At this point we lost our cool. WHY?? we ask. Well, he admits, because he's spent all the money but never bothered to BUY all the tile/supplies to finish our job!! So basically, we were SOL if we didn't pony up! We gave him a piece of our mind, then went with him to the hardware store to ensure our supplies were bought. Don made a comment about how if he knew he was going to need more money up front he would've worded the contract differently or not done the work. How rude!! I definitely wouldn't have chosen his service had he initially stated that he wanted my bank account on beck and call! And more than the half up front wasn't enough for that tiny bathroom??Needless to say, the work got done, after about 2 months, and I left out more undesirable parts for time's sake. The work was decent, except for the trim where the tub meets the tile. I give him 1 star for just finishing the tile job. The clincher is that he apologized and said he would paint the bathroom for free for our troubles. DIDN'T HAPPEN. Even after 2 phone calls. So now I am leaving an unpleasant review. Please don't have a miserable experience like we did--do your research, and don't EVER shell out more money at the request of the contractor, and go with a company that has a firm base, not with an individual.

Don's Custom Tile & Remodeling
Don recently completed our downstairs in 20" porcelain tile. The tile has a slate look and a wide variation in colors. Don planned the installation such that there were no transitions between hall and rooms and the pattern is wonderfully random. He also completed the guest bath with a roll-in shower that uses the 20" tiles on the walls and 2" squares on the floor. He designed a corner bench and a niche for soap/bottles. everything is beautiful and gets high praise from all our guests.

Just a moment...
