Barbara J Mizell DMD PA
We were able to get an appointment within a week because of a painful tooth my daughter had. When we arrived, the office is actually a remodeled home. Limited parking was available. We were briefly greeted and handed paperwork when we entered. The waiting room had limited seating. We were called back in less than 10 minutes. Our visit took approximately one hour for cleaning and x-ray. We were under the impression that my 7 year-old daughter would have the work done for a filling/crown, but she was referred to a pediatric dentist for sedation, because she is anxious (but not resistant/combative). The hygienist we worked with was very attentive and friendly, my daughter enjoyed the visit and smiled the whole time. We only saw Dr. Mizell long enough to say she was referring us, so I really can't rate HER, but the rest of the staff was great. The office itself seems to be a work in progress-- while some parts look new, other were in need of aesthetic repair. There was also a DOG behind the reception desk, in a kennel, just FYI for anyone allergic!I am satisfied enough to Dr. Mizell's office with my children again in the future.

Dr James D Callahan DDS
My family has been going to these guys for over 15 years, ever since my Dad retired from the Navy. The staff as well as the doctors have always been friendly, professional, and courteous to us. Both Father(James) and Son(Jaime) have a very calm demeanor, a great chair-side manner, and do quality work. Trust me, I know. I have had major work done by them (9 crowns and counting) due to an enamel deficiency, and they have ALWAYS made my comfort a priority. My name is Christopher Schnatz and I would definitely recommend this dentist's office.also they accept Care Credit for those of you without insurance. ++

James F White, DMD
My five year had her first appointment with Dr. White today (not her 1st dental appointment ever, just the first with him). I was nervous to go after reading the poor reviews, but we had a fantastic experience! Yes, I stayed in the waiting area and she went alone and it was no big deal. The door was kept open and I could hear my child the entire time. Everyone who worked there was super friendly. I can only imagine there being issues if you have a child who doesn't behave and in that case you should be reviewing yourself and parenting skills...not this dental office. I would recommend him highly.

James E Covan Jr DMD Mph PA
I went to Dr. Covan because he was very close to where I live/worked. At first seemed great, even though he was not in my PPO and I had to pay a lot for services. Then he became condescending and also told me I did not have a temporary crown on a tooth (which I DID have), and told me that my tongue stud had caused a filling to be broken (which it did NOT, it was due to bruxing) but he wished to argue that case with me. Also, he talked over me to his assistant all the time, just seeming to ignore that I was his patient right there at his hands. Not very professional and WAY too expensive.

I called them because I broke a tooth. I was surprised they could fit me in the same day on an emergency basis. I called a couple of other local dentists and the earliest appointment I could get was in two weeks. I thought I would need a crown, but x-rays showed the root was decayed and would not hold a post. I needed a partial plate. Dr. Sonnen explained my options and I was not pressured which option to choose, I am very satisfied with the results.I found Dr. Sonnen and her staff to be not only professional, but friendly.

Dr Hart and his team are the greatest, my teen age daughter was so nervouse about going to the dentist but Dr Hart and the hygienist made her feel so comfortable that on her next visit I didn't even have to drive he she said she would be fine going by herself and you know what I didn't even have to miss work, which reminds me on her first visit the scheduled her in at 7:30 am and they had her in and out in time for me to get to work on time

Sims, Clay, DDS
Staff was not prepared. Me and my husband felt the overall experience was very scattered. Many employees stumbled over words and did not seem happy. The office was fun and interactive. That was the only wow. Doctor Sims was very nice but not as engaged as we would hope a doctor would be in a new patient.

Dr Campbell is a great guy and I really love having him as my Dentist. I have a big fear of Dentists and Dr Campbell is such a gentle spirit and really puts you at ease. I am so lucky to have found him. My whole office uses him. Thank you to all his staff and to the best Dentist I have ever seen.

Dr. Covan & his team really go above & beyond to take care of their patients. The staff is very helpful & friendly, & Dr. Covan is the best around in my opinion. If you are apprehensive about going to the dentist like most people, don't be. Go see Dr. Covan
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future

Just a moment...
