Auto Max
DO NOT GO THERE! Tonny is the most untrusted person, arrogant and ignorant. You are told by Tonny only how much the parts will be and you are left to discover at the end that you have to pay at least double after the labor is added. Also a supply fee is added to all bills. No warranty of their work is honored. If you like to be cheated and overcharged, go there. If not keep out.

Auto Max
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!!My co-worker who happens to be a woman took her car there on yesterday to fix a problem with her altenator. She has a Chry Sebring and they quoted her a whopping 700 dollars to replace it !!! So I called Automax to ask why in the world would an altenator replacement be so expensive and they placed me on hold several times without an answer. Keep in mind I am a male. This place is simply anoter one of those places that prey on women..In the end my co-worker ended up paying 267 total parts and labor for the repair. Places like this should be shut down!!!

NTB National Tire & Battery
NTB in Pearland did a fantastic job on my car today. I scheduled an appointment online to have 4 tires installed and an oil change for a 10 am appointment. I arrived 5 minutes early and was greeted by two very friendly and professional associates. We discussed what I was there for and they promptly started on my car. The tires were installed by a great tech and the work was completed promptly and professionally. My total bill was exactly what I expected it to be, and was the best price I could find in a 40 mile area. There were several issues with my car (most I was already aware of) and the Service Manager Gary came and spoke with me and told me that he would print out an itemized list of the work that should be done. Never once did he push me to do the repairs, he simply educated me about what was needed.I went home and checked my records for past work at the shop I have been going to for the past 10 years and found that NTB would have saved me a significant amount of money. I am glad that I did not read the reviews on this site prior to going to NTB, or I might have missed out on this excellent experience. I would highly recommend NTB in Pearland and giving them the opportunity to win you over. I will continue to return to this shop as they treated me with respect, did an exceptional job, work was completed quickly, and made the transaction as easy as possible for me. Great staff.

Condor Auto Repair
First time had service there and had very bad experience. It's a very simple repair, change a windshield fluid container took about 30 minutes and charged me 1 hour labor for $100. They left my bottom of frond bumper unscrewed and screwed the passenger side back flash outside of the bumper. And I will never take my car back and never refer to any of my friend there.

Auto Max
I wouldn't recommend Auto Max in Pearland on Shadow Creek Pkwy, to my worst enemy. From my experience they are nice and professional at first. Although, when there are questions and concerns, they say one thing and do another. The pricing is outrageous and not direct. There are several hidden fees they tell you about towards the end. Some of the staff are very rude and disrespectful, not leaving out the managers Anthony and Tony. If you are a female I advise you to take a man with you. The reason being, Anthony may decide he can intimidate you yelling and talking to you any kind of way. That was my first and last time going. So if you break down right in front of this place, I recommend you to seek a little further.

NTB National Tire & Battery
I don't wanted to give them one star, we had oil change a few months ago, they called oil leaking and needed to spend $1300 to fix this problem, I refused to do anything. I went to my car dealer, the dealer told me, the car didn't have oil leak, spent $200 fixing brakes. Due to this ntb close my home, I wanted to do oil change, they refuse to perform this service. It seems like that they wanted to charge you big money, you don't want to do it, they put you in black list! Never go this place again!

Mike's Automotive Repair
Had my brake pads and rotars replaced for well under what it would cost at other shops. Took a little while but I came in on a Friday and didn't come prepared with a ride - my fault. I didn't mind waiting because the shop was comfortable and within walking distance from Walmart. The owner Mike even offered to drop me off at Walmart. Mike is honest, has a good work ethic and runs his business well. I'll be back!

Snider Transmission
So...Mad, Frustrated, and Disappointed that my truck was sick. I had NO clue how bad!! Luckily I called Snider Transmission. The young lady that answered was extremely helpful from getting my truck into the shop for repair to keeping me informed of the diagnostic of the problems. Thankfully I was offered several repair options.(Not always the case) I made a great choice for repair... with warranty. Grateful is all I can say from the moment the truck was taken into Snider to the moment I gladly paid for all my repair services. Highly recommend this Christian Automotive Repair shop!!

Simms Automotive
Very professional and explained every process performed on my truck. If you want it fixed right the first time then choose Simms I say. If you value a professional mechanic who treats you car like his own I recommend Simms.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
