I've been going to specline even before Bobby and Joe took over the business and was always happy with their work. Now it's even better. Honest and great work. Friendly atmosphere. I feel like I am with family. Great job Bobby and Joe! Specline is the best!

I've been bringing my cars to Specline for years but now it seems it's a Revolving door of mechanics I used to bring my car and wife's truck to them but it seems the place is going downhill the work and professionalism has gone down with the new staff used to be a comfortable trusting place to bring the family vehicles I've since found a new facility to maintain my cars

Not exactly a professional repair shop I had brought my car to Specline because a good friend referred me to them (Bobby and Joe) apparently these two used car salesman should stick to exactly that beside the fact that my car was there for almost a week on the 4th day I got a call from Bobby the owner and was told there will be an answer by the end of the so the end of the came and went and I was very aggravated so I ended up taking a ride to see what was going on well the car was parked In the same spot and he had no answers for me not being able to take my car back right then and there I left it and waited for a friend to give me a ride when I went to go pick the car up he had told me it needed a headgasket and would be about 1600 so I took it to my regular mechanic for a second opinion and guess what a 120$ thermostat fixed the problem so no I would not go back there and neither should anyone reading this

Roe Agency Inc
The agents do not know how to write or rewrite a policy. I have a renters policy through travelers for the past 2 years, I move and they want to charge me more because i live farther away from the water, but charged me more previously because I lived close to the water....makes no sense. We make an agreement then doesn't send a bill, doesn't create a new policy like I wanted, then sends me to collections....they will never have my business again.

So I baught a car from Island Auto in Patchaugue NY and I had the car for a month then the brake callaper froze so the owner of the auto shop told me to come here and they'd take care of it so I did so. They fixed the car and now about a month after the car was "fixed" the callaper froze again and they're going to make me pay to get it fixed when it should be payed for by those who messed up the first time.

I have been bringing my car to Specline Automotive for about a year and must say everyone there is friendly and very helpful. They know what they are doing and seem honest which is hard to come by at a mechanic shop. However, they recently got a new secretary in the office, I believe her name is Trista, she does not seem to know what she is talking about and is not very friendly. I was recently there and waiting for my car in the office when I hear her badmouthing another customer to other people. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I am not sure why Annette is no longer there but at least she was friendly. That's the only complaint I have, they do great work and great bunch of guys there. They should definitely consider getting a new secretary.

Not sure what this other reviewers problem is I have been going to these guys for years. Also did a lot of work with BI auto sales in years past. They are the most honest mechanics I have ever used. They are always willing to help were other shops are just in it for the money. I had an issue a few months back when I went to get and inspection (at another shop) and was told I needed struts and springs before the inspection could be done the guy said 800- 1000$ for the work. Went back to Specline and was given the inspection with no issues the struts and spring were fixed with just a little welding and was done in a timely manner and done right. Would trust them with anything I need done.

I STRONGLY advise everyone take your subaru here if you want to be ripped off! The ford dealership across the street will perform higher quality work than what this guy Noam can only accomplish in his dreams! He is anything but professional, clear your schedule for next 2 weeks if your getting any work done, your car will need to re visit his shop several times before he will figure out what he has to do and then even think about getting the job done.. If your ready for a good laugh, have him weld for you! Hes one of those people that can bs you perfectly before you decide to drop the car off and especially after he writes your bill! There is no professionalism dealing with Noam! Theres no way this guy gets return business other than kids in the area who think they are getting a deal... or just like his pink rims! Please dont just take my word for it... if his work was that great, why have you never seen the front end complete on his own car

Goodyear Auto Service Center
Never had to wait more than reasonable for a repair but they have been sloppy lately. You pay for service or repair and you have to check they did it. On three separate occasions I had to bring my car back for a repair that wasn't done properly or service that was not performed. The counter guys are pretty good but there is no oversight of the work done (or not done) by the mechanics.

Find another shop... I bought a car from his brothers shop(BI auto sales in bohemia-don't trust these guys either) needed 2 new tires which were replaced..car was shaking-within the week it was so bad I had to take it in-the tires were not balanced,,,10 mo later the transmission went -took it to specline -took me 3 day to find out what was going on-kept being told I would get a call from the owner Joe -finally got a call (1 call) on the 3rd day-after i had called like a dozen times... the next day I was told the car was sent someplace else. While at the tranmission shop I was told the shaking I still had was probably b/c the tires that were replaced were different size then the ones on there - and with an all wheel drive they must be the same or it will burn out the AWD sensor.... you would think a shop should know this... so either they didn't or they didn't care - not sure which is worse. I wouldn't trust them to even change my oil. GO SOMEPLACE ELSE.
Tips & Advices
Employers must conduct all required training in a language and vocabulary that workers can understand. Training must demonstrate the hazards of operating certain machinery, like stone cutters and splitters, as well as how to use them appropriately. It's important to verify that your landscape contractor has taken the necessary steps to fully train its personnel and that the appropriate safety precautions are in place.
Check the specific regulations for your area, and verify that your contractor has the necessary licenses. These may include a state contractor's license, pesticide license, CDL driver's license and license to sell and purchase nursery stock.
Landscape work is not cheap, so it's in your best interest to make sure that it's done to your requirements and that you get the best contractor to do the job. Homeowners should know how much they'll need to pay for the contractor's service as well as how they will be billed for this work. Ask about any design fees, if quoted prices are fixed or estimates, and what the payment process will be. Clarifying these items in the beginning will prevent any surprise expenses.
Yes. Homeowners should require that the contractor submit certificates verifying compliance with safety, insurance, workers' compensation and drug and alcohol testing programs. This will give you peace of mind that the contractor has gone through all the steps under industry regulations.
Yes. Every good contractor should have a list of recently completed jobs that you can see in their portfolio. They should also have a list of references that you can contact, or properties that you can see in person.
