New to the area. Talk about trust?!? This is my second time having my Rav4 serviced. I came in, and true to the other customers who took the time to review (thank you!), I left with a MUCH lesser bill than the dealer quoted me. No shady overselling.Got the oil change done at the dealership and during that time, I received "the call". I needed to get my brake pads done NOW, needed my rear shocks replaced NOW, needed new wiper blades, needed new filters NOW, I told them no, and the guy kept me on the phone saying that my pads were in a dangerous state. I had heard a tiny squeak, but this guy acted like I was grinding metal! (I wasn't). I picked up my car, but now I had a new problem.LOL... .I couldn't friggin' remember the name of this place, but remembered Elvaton's name. As I was driving home from the dealership, divine intervention struck and I jumped out of the car, ran in and sure enough...there he sat! He replaced my pads for almost $100 under the dealer price, none of the other repair stuff was necessary, gave me some cool advice on the wear and tear of brakes and sent me on my way. He has my business forever and ever.

Baxter Tire & Auto
Amazing Friendly Helpful Service. i have had two tires end up flat with nails in them the past two months, on my company vehicle. I have called them each time and I am pretty sure it is the same friendly helpful man each time. Today he tells me that he will send one of his guys out to take a look and see if it can be fixed in my driveway. Shortly there after a young guy shows up finds the nail, fixes it all the while answering all of my questions and even helps me to find the hidden spare under my van (who knew?).I just wanted to say that this place has impressed me on each occasion with quick, friendly service and I highly recommend them.

Elvaton Auto and Truck
The most important issue to me about my repair is having it done that day. Since I was the first to show up because my accident happened in the morning the came through and had it ready for me by closing time. They were nice enough to lend me a loner car so I would have to sit there all day. They were very assuring of what I needed done and nothing more. Your mechanics do the job right the first time, every time. I never had to bring my car back for a re-do. I have zero complaints, not one, not ever! I rely and depend on it! I drive with high confidence because of your superior quality service. You guys are the best!!!

Midas Auto Service Experts
To Barbara R. I would appreciate it if you could either check your date of visit or location you visited. This location closed on December 22, 2012 and did not reopen until myself and my wife renovated the building and re-opened it on August 1, 2014. My name is Chris and my wife is Marie. We are the new owners. Please give us a try in the future for your service needs. Our manager is Scott and we believe you will be very pleased. Please look at all reviews (google, yelp etc.) since we have re opened. Thank you.

Hondamans Auto Service
This is the ONLY place I will ever take my car! They are such an upstanding and honest business that truly cares about their customers and is really fair with their pricing. They truly go above and beyond the call of duty. Not only that, they are always so friendly and welcoming. They also really know their stuff! Usually, I only have to give a short description of my car's symptoms, and Pat already has a pretty good idea of what's going on. You can't choose a better mechanic, especially if you own a Honda!

European Auto Care
Brought in my Toyota Tacoma to have my AC Compressor and Condenser replaced. The price for installation of my parts was un-beatable and the entire install was done quickly and efficiently and I was kept informed during the process. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and professional and treated us like family. We will continue to use European Auto Care for all of our cars!

Excellent service. Oil change was quick and fast. They also dropped me off at home so I wouldn't have to wait in the lobby of the shop. Over all great experience. Everyone there is nice and very welcoming.

Baxter Tire & Auto
Service engine light came on, was scared to pieces it would cost an arm & a leg, Baxters fixed it in no time & at minimal cost. That was my first visit, have been using them & happy ever since.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
