I can't begin to tell you how amazing Alex and his install team have been. They have been punctual, professional, accommodating, neat, and work every second they are on the job. They have truly gone above and beyond for us. My neighbor Elina H. who also had her windows and doors installed by your company, is extremely satisfied with them as well. I spoke to her this morning after her job passed inspection.DO NOT LOSE THIS TEAM. I wish you 100 more like them! Alex is a prize. We had our inspection by the county this morning and passed. Thanks again for all of your help, and thank you for amazing windows and doors. In addition, for the few people on yelp, who are posting frustration with some of the finish work, you need to understand how window and door install works. This company installs windows and doors securely and to code. They are not painters. It's up to us, the customers, to have painting and touch up work after the job is completed and inspection is passed. Thanks again! We love our product.

i replaced the windows and doors in my home back in november and icould not be more pleased. my windows are just the way i wanted them and the doors are very secure. the salesman brandon was very knowledgeable of the product and made sure that i got the energy efficiency i was looking for and ryan the construction manager took the time to make sure that my windows and doors would fit so that i would't run into problems during theconstruction. the workers were all timely and professional. there were a few hiccups here and there but you can expect that in construction. florida window and door handled them and got things rolling again like we didn't miss a step. the office girls, jodi and carol pulledeverything together and were there to answer any question i had and i had a lotof questions. in a whole florida window and door has made replacing of my windows in my home (which if you have ever done is not a pleasurable process) very tolerable and the finished productwas beautiful.

Florida Window and Door
Being a transplant in South Florida, I knew nothing about the type of windows necessary in Florida. I knew that my windows needed to be strong to sustain the storms or hurricanes, but at the same time I needed them sealed tight being that I am scared of any bug. The bugs in FL, go without saying are terrifying. Haha. The windows in my first place down here had like a meshy kind of sponge which was partially transparent but ultimately permeable. I felt as though my AC was constantly running, realizing there was hot air coming through consistently through the window 'sealant,' or lack thereof. Even worse, it was scary for me, feeling like these windows would not hold during a storm and bugs would sneak in to flee the weather. I expressed these somewhat ridiculous concerns to Scott and his team, without any judgment from them. Not only that but they explained the procedure to assure me the bugs would have to really work hard to sneak in through the windows, at least.

I wish to express my delight at the service and professionalism I experienced from Florida Window and Door. Cody Holl, our sales representative was knowledgeable and easy to contact. When I called about the status of our order, Jodi Auten was quick to respond and answered all my questions. The three installers; Eddie Kern, Josh and Eddie were efficient, courteous and took pains to insure that our house had as few disruptions as possible during the installation. When we discovered a stress crack in one of the windows, I called the install department. Ty Cartier, James and Ellen were quick to respond and they are working to resolve the problem. I am confident that there will be no problems because of the excellent service and professionalism of the company. By the way, we really love our new windows and doors.

I got a front door and four windows from Florida Window. The salesperson said what I wanted to hear and we got everything taken care of. The salesperson who came out was very good, told us a lot, and explained everything. We got every window and glass doors in the house done, they built them to fit, and the quality was excellent. I kind of dreaded the installation because they're gonna be there for two days, but it went beautifully and they cleaned up. I picked the color of the door and it has the glass inset and the keyless entry - I haven't read the manual on it yet and know how to use it without a key. I'm satisfied with the quality of the items and will do business with them again if I ever need impact windows.

Florida windows and doors they were lifechangers our house one from looking old to looking new. It's an amazing product they have and a great team of installers. Took a total of 2 days. The product is an amazing product and I feel very secure knowing that my family is protected with these doors and windows. Justin was our sales person and was very knowledgeable with the Ygrene program to finance these windows. With installing these windows and doors we were able to get enough discounts on our insurance. We received a $2,700 discount yearly in our payment monthly is $180 for 10 years so we netted yearly about $600 in our favor getting all new windows and doors that's amazing thank you Justin great work

We were really happy with this company. Their work was efficient and we are very pleased with the final product. We can sincerely feel a difference in the coolness of the house and it has reduced the noise from outside greatly. We had all of our windows replaced and could not be happier with the appearance, the work accomplished and the new look of our home. I also feel safer with these windows, I am just very happy that we chose to replace our windows finally and very glad we used this company. When we need our doors replaced I will not hesitate to call them again

Excellent quality product if you're looking for Hurricane rated Windows. I had a custom design made to order and the sliding Windows look fabulous. Not to mention the house is now much safer and secure. No need to feel claustrophobic with shutters. Get these windows! Expect to wait for your order to be manufactured as they take ample time to build a quality product. Follow up was great. Installation guys were courteous, professional and cleaned up after themselves. Remember, you get what you pay for. Worth the wait. Thank you, Florida Window and Door!

I spent well over $28K on my impact windows with Florida Window and Door and I have no regrets whatsoever. FWD did right by me and I continue to recommend them all the time. And when it comes to my house, I'm down right picky. (And I mean really picky!) They gave me a good price for quality windows and the crew did a professional job on the installation. My house looks great now and my FPL bill dropped a lot! So if you're shopping for windows, all I can say is call them and see for yourself...they definitely know what they're doing.

The installers did a wonderful job on our our windows. They were friendly, professional and got the job done in a timely manner. It took a while for our windows to be made after signing the contract and giving our deposit...but the company told us this ahead of time and were in one week of their projected install time frame. We are happy with our windows so far and have had no issues ( it has been 3 mths). The county building inspector even commented on what a great job the contractor did on installation, during his final inspection.
Tips & Advices
Windows that open from the top are safest for children, assuming the child can't reach the opening. Parents who have windows that open from the bottom or sides can childproof them with wedges or window guards.
  • How long have you been in business?
  • Do you have any references or past work I can see?
  • Do you provide free estimates?
  • How much will the project cost?
  • When will the project be completed?
  • Is the crew hired or contracted, and do you conduct background checks?
  • Who will be in my home?
  • Do you offer a warranty?
Not necessarily. Unless all the windows are equally damaged or pose equal danger, homeowners can stagger their replacements to suit their budget.
  • Wood frames are beautiful and can be customized with paint and stains, but they also expand and contract as the weather changes. They're also susceptible to rot, mold, and pests. As such, wood frames require constant maintenance.
  • Vinyl frames are far more durable than wood. They resist moisture and are usually created with ultraviolet light stabilizers. This prevents the sun from damaging the frames over time. In addition, vinyl frames can be filled with insulation.
  • Aluminum frames are light and weather resistant, but they also conduct heat rapidly.
  • Fiberglass frames are the sturdiest option. Like vinyl options, they can be filled with insulation. Fiberglass frames also resist weather damage and do not crack, peel, expand, contract, bend, or warp.
Single-pane windows use one sheet of glass. Double-pane windows use two sheets of glass held together by a sealant. A small space between the panes is filled with air or gas to minimize the transfer of heat. Triple-pane windows add another sheet of glass and insulating space.
