Florida Aid To Animals
Five stars all around! The guys and gals that work at the Florida aid to animals are just awesome. I recently moved to Palm Bay and rescued a 100lb lab from being neglected and tied up in Arizona on the drive down. I brought JD in to get a check up and to set up a neuter appointment, and we had nothing but a positive time. Even when JD freaked out and was growling/barking at all the other dogs and cats they offered for us to wait in an exam room. Once his story got around the building, nearly every employee came over and gave JD treats and attention, he LOVED it. By far one of the best vet experiences I have ever had. The prices are very affordable too!

Brevard Spay/Neuter Clinic
The entire staff are professional, friendly, and so compassionate. BSNC works with me financially also to help ensure my pets get the medical treatment they deserve . They have helped me out with so many of my personal pets and community cats, that I can't say enough good things about them. They truly love animals and make you feel like family. I was especially grateful when they allowed me to be with my cat when she had to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Not every Veterinary Clinic will allow that. Thank you Dr. Connie and staff.

Wag N Tails Animal Clinic
I took my dog yesterday with serious problems. We received great explanation to the small details of our baby's condition. I never got this kind of examination from our previous Vet. We are extremely pleased with the Vet and her staff and planning to switch our other dog also to this Clinic. I will recommend them to all my friends. Also, the pirce was VERY reasonable, and the Clinic is very pretty and very clean.

Wag N Tails Animal Clinic
I have 3 amazing pets (Goldendoodle, Maine Coon, and Gray Tabby). They are my kids and a major part of our family. I used to dread going to Banfield in Melbourne and was so happy to find Wag N Tails right down the street. Dr. Cail and Krista are great to work with. I always feel at ease when we are in their care. I highly recommend Wag N Tails as your new Vet.

Malabar Country Veterinarian
I'm so grateful to the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure my dog was properly taken care of. She was having a check up after a rattlesnake bite. They explained everything so I could give the best care once we got home. My dog is now resting and comfortable. I recommend the Malabar Country Vet to anyone. Thank you so much to the caring staff.

Wag N Tails Animal Clinic
My rehabbed 8 year old puppy is wary of strangers and she responded so well to the gentle hand of Dr. Cail and her assistant Christa. Their quick diagnosis, expertise and support really helped the successful quality of life surgery my best friend deserved. I really look forward to introducing the rest of my "children" to them! Florida Aid To Animals
I love this place. Very friendly and prompt.
Tips & Advices
Most 24-hour clinics do not allow owners to stay with their pets overnight. However, many do have specific visiting hours or will let owners see their pets at any point during the day. In addition, owners can call most clinics at any time for an update on their pet's well being.
  • Important phone numbers, especially those of the the veterinary clinic, the animal hospital or emergency clinic, and the poison control center
  • A book detailing pet first-aid steps
  • Copy of medical records
  • Nylon leash
  • Muzzle (only use if pet is not vomiting and has no difficulty breathing)
  • Absorbent gauze
  • Nonlatex disposable gloves
  • Scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Nail clippers
  • Digital thermometer
  • Sterile saline solution
  • Hydrogen peroxide (to induce vomiting only at the recommendation of a veterinarian
  • Milk of magnesia (to absorb poison only at the recommendation of a veterinarian)
Find a 24-hour animal hospital that provides emergency services within your area. Keep the facility's contact information in a place that's easy to locate, such as the refrigerator, address book, or smartphone. Most veterinary clinics operate on standard business hours and are not equipped to handle emergencies.
Veterinary clinics operate on a smaller scale than animal hospitals. The latter are more likely open 24 hours and provide emergency services. The former generally operate on typical office hours and only perform wellness exams and minor surgeries. Veterinary clinics also do not generally perform laboratory tests on site.
The specifics vary depending on the type of visit. For a wellness exam, bring:
  • Medical records
  • The type or brand of food the pet eats
  • Medication (including flea, tick, and heartworm medication).
If the animal needs medical treatment, the following may be helpful depending on the situation:
  • Fresh stool sample
  • Vomit sample
  • Video of the pet engaging in abnormal behavior
  • Substance the pet may have ingested
