Hannah The Electrician
My wife called around for an electrician to check a breaker that kept tripping in our kitchen. We called Hannah the Electrician and had an electrician out to us the next afternoon. He figured out what the problem was and fixed it while he was there. We will call them again if we need anything. .

Hannah The Electrician
We hired Hannah the Electrician to put up a few dusk to dawn lights in the back as it was very dark out there and I didn't like the fact I couldn't see what my dog was barking at during the night. I also had a breaker tripping when I used my microwave and dishwasher at the same time. Mark came over at the time we discussed and fixed the issues we asked him to fix. We are very happy with the work, Also, I asked Mark several questions about the backyard lighting and he walked me through the lighting options so I could decide what worked best for me. Happy customer and would recommend them.

Hannah The Electrician
Amazing experience with them! I was told that the panel in our house was extremely dangerous and out of date. We looked it up and that was exactly the case. They were more concerned with our safety and asked to "inconvenience" us on the weekend to ensure our safety! What amazing service to give up their weekend to take care of a random family and care about their safety! I highly recommend this company!

Hannah The Electrician
I would never recommend them. Extremely disappointed with the job. Their installation cost was more than the cost of the fixture. I have a sense they're a one-man shop, which made for the extremely slow installation. They didn't ask for a check at completion, but started calling and emailing repeatedly after sending the invoice (which didn't list city, state or zip). I agreed to drip off a second check because the first got lost in transit. Their address is a UPS Store P.O. box, which is probably the reason the first got lost. I would be very wary of hiring them.

Hannah The Electrician
I hired Hannah the Electrician to replace outdated can lights in the bedrooms of my home. They offered convenient scheduling, friendly and efficient technicians, and great follow up. I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Would definitely recommend and will use them again in the future.

Hannah The Electrician
We used Hannah the Electrician a few days ago for some electrical issues we had. The technician was great!! He found the problem, explained what it was and gave me a very reasonable price to fix it. They were able to work me into the schedule so they can come back next week to fix another electrical problem we have. Great company!!

Tips & Advices
Keep the following tips in mind:
  • Do not operate any electrical equipment while sitting or standing in water.
  • Don't overload extension cords or surge protectors.
  • Put caps on your electrical outlets if you have small children.
  • Call an electrician if you notice your sockets or switches are warm to the touch, discolored or if they make noise.
  • Keep electrical cords away from stoves, ovens and other sources of heat.
  • Do not use an appliance that has a frayed cord.
  • Do not staple extension cords into place or cover them with carpets or furniture.
  • When using extension cords, make sure to unwrap them before plugging them in.
  • Don't overuse extension cords. Have an electrician install extra outlets if you need a power source closer to you.
  • Only use light bulbs with the correct wattage for your lamps and light fixtures.
  • Contact a licensed electrician if you frequently blow fuses, since this can be a sign of an electrical wiring problem.
  • Have an electrician look at your fuse box to ensure you have the right size fuses and circuit breakers. The wrong size fuse or breaker can be a fire hazard.
  • If you have fault circuit interrupters installed in your electrical panel, make sure you test them at least once a month by turning them on and off.
It can cost from $40-$100 an hour depending on the job. This does not include additional costs for parts or trip fees. Make sure to ask in advance what they charge for or if they will provide a free quote.
In order to become a full-fledged professional, a person must undergo an apprenticeship with master and journeyman electricians. An apprentice needs 8,000 hours of practical work before graduating to the journeyman level. If an apprentice reaches journeyman status, he or she can complete most electrical work, but cannot design it until completing more testing along with 2,000 more on-the-job hours.
Yes. While all electricians need a license, not all of them do the same types of jobs.
  • Outside: These types of electricians work outdoors on electrical lines that connect to power plants.
  • Inside: Inside experts typically focus on commercial and industrial buildings that require a lot of power.
  • Residential: Residential electricians work with low-voltage systems and wiring to install fuse boxes and light fixtures.
Watch out for contractors that greatly underbid other electricians. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is. Also, always remember to get the estimate in writing before settling on a company.
