She goes out of her way to be helpful throughout the produce area of the store. Thank you Maureen for being so didicated. Lorraine Green

Was shopping here today when tornado sirens started blaring...funnel cloud sightings were imminent and a tornado had already touched town a couple of miles down the road -- so the store staff opened their safe haven to all shoppers and staff (the meat cooler!) and invited all of us to ride out the storm in a safe place. Even passed out warm blankets for anyone who was a little too chilly. Then found another safe, warmer spot within the store for elderly and moms with babies to wait out the storm. Several staffers had weather radios handy, and gave us all updates on the storm's progress...about 45 minutes later, the threat has passed and we all fanned back out into the store to finish our shopping. I was really impressed with how well-organized, thoughtful and caring each and every Hen House employee was during this terribly unnerving event. Thanks to everyone at this superb store...you're the greatest!
10.Hen House Antioch Merriam
5800 Antioch Rd
Store Director: Kathy Scott 5800 Antioch Road Merriam, KS 66202 Phone: (913) 831-3500 I wish I could give this store fewer than 1 star! The staff at this store are beyond incompetent & lazy! The other day, I was in the produce section of this Hen House. Employee Andrea was visiting with a friend in the corner. I clearly had a question, but she couldn't be bothered. Eventually I had to interrupt her personal conversation to ask the price of the unmarked fennel. She glanced around at where the pricing should have been (above the produce) then glance back at me and said, "I don't know." When I continued to stare at her she said, "I don't have a way to find out. They'll tell you at check out" and went back to her convo. When I turned around, she was mocking me to her friend for asking a question. I put the fennel back and went up to customer service. I asked Maria in customer service for a comment card. She said, "A comment card?" I said yes. Again, incredulous she said, "A comment card?" Again I said, "Yes. Do you have comment cards?" Maria answered "For what? To make a comment about the store?" I could not believe what a stupid or unhelpful yet ANOTHER employee was being. Finally, I said "YES! I have a complaint about this store! DO YOU HAVE COMMENT CARDS?" And she finally managed to say, "Yeah, down there." I shop for a family of 6. I don't have time for the excruciating lazy, rude, unhelpful staff at Hen House. We will never spend another penny in that store.

I used to enjoy going to WH in Shawnee ... I went there last night (7/8/11) and it was not the same welcoming environment. The regular/old cook was gone and the quality of the food was very different. ;- ( I couldn't even finish my order it was so bad. The employees on duty were very unprofessional and the place was dirty.

After several visits, my wife and myself both agree Han Shin has the best Japanese food and sushi in the kansas city area. The place is "clean as a pin", the servers are great, the atmosphere is lovely and the owners are very friendly.

Nearly every year on my birthday, I'm treated to my favorite food.... JAPANESE! I love the "show" (provided you get a chef that still cares to amuse & amaze those sitting around the table), not to mention, I'm seldom disappointed with the mix of people who are also sitting at the table, even though you most often don't know them. Without my being asked my opinion of certain places I've previously dined at & knew I'd NEVER eat at again (ummmm, given the opportunity.....Like GoJo's, who still seem to think or not care that a potatoe can NOT be cooked on a hibachi, nor, on their combo platters do they cook steak to order...It's always well done & not "well done" as in done well....my old boots would probably be more tender & tasty!), my sweet man asked his uninformed 19 yr old daughter where to go & sure enough, SHE told him GoJo's was "great...." Hmmmmm.... By my second birthday, HE had found Nikko's & it's my #1, hands down, without a doubt favorite Japanese restaurant! Nikko's may be a tiny bit more expensive than most other Japanese restaurants that I'vè eaten at, but for special occasions, I think it's worth it. We did, however, have a few complaints... They told us if we arrived late for our reservations we would not be seated, only to have to wait approx 45 minutes in the bar before we could be seated. My gentleman friend had them fax him their menu the day he made reservations & from that moment until we were seated, he had pre-decided that he was ordering their two lobster tails for dinner -- which they did not have that night when we showed up for dinner. It also took a ridiculously long time for our bill to be brought to us at the end of the meal & for them to close out our tab.

A very nice, unassuming restaurant. From the outside, you do not expect it to be as warm, and as neat as it is on the inside. The restaurant has a really cool, traditional Zashiki side(low tables, no shoes, you sit on cushions on the floor)then another side for the Teppanyaki (grill in the middle of large tables that will sit up to 16) The cook, and server were both very friendly, and the food was outstanding. Quite large portions for the price (steak and chicken Teppanyaki nets you rice, noodles, vegetables, steak, chicken, and a few shrimp for under $20) the sushi was very good, and my party of four had a great time, and had plenty of food for leftovers.

I've delt with these people for years in both jewelry and coins. I've found them to be both honest and helpful in all respects. People this is a pawn shop NOT a swap meet. Don't go in expecting to get what you pair for an item. THEY like all businesses are in business to make money. You won't find a better shop anywhere. Ask for Robin if you have any problems and she will take care of them. Thomas

Good little dive bar! If you are looking for snotty people who pay for $8 drinks, this is not your kind of place. No bar around can match their prices. Food was surprising good! My Club sandwich was awesome and my wife's hamburger was great too! We were there on a Thursday and we had $1.50 drinks and were strong. We like this place.
