Big T's Lawn Care
I have nothing but great things to say about these hard working guys! When we moved here 2 1/2 years ago, we did not know any lawn service companies, so my neighbors recommended them and said they did a good job. I'm a bit particular about my yard and have specific requirements: like which trees and shrubs I want trimmed, where to mow, certain areas not to mow, etc., even blade height of the mower (I guess I'm a high maintenance client :) ) and they are extremely accommodating. These guys are not only very hard working, but will go out of their way to please - you just need to tell them if there is an an area they need to focus or what your expectations are . They understand why customer service is so important : 1) Customer is #1 2) Keep customer happy so they keep using you 3) Doing a great job creates referral business! I highly recommend Big Ts!!

Big T's Lawn Care
Hello my name is Tyler and I am the owner for Big T's lawn care... I would like to speak about the bad reviews that were left on this site. When I was hiring people to work for this company mike ( the person who left the first bad review).. He worked with my Forman for one day... He told my Forman how he was on probation for stealing and drugs... He had no idea of what was going on and did not seem very trustworthy to work with... I decided that this type of person would not be the best fit for the job. He was payed for the day and let go...I don't hire convicts and people who are known for stealing.... He spoke about his charges like he was proud of them. So no Big T's lawn care is a great positive environment to work thanks

Professional Lawn Care & Maintenance
I hired George on March 1, 2016 to mow my lawn and at that time he made a statement he wanted me to give him 2 week notice if I stop using his service. He also wanted month advance payments on service, so for March I paid him on the 1st, and for April I paid him on March 31st and for May I paid him on April 25th. I gave him notice on May 10th I wanted to cancel his service and do lawn service myself, and at that time he stop mowing my lawn. So I pay him for month of May and got half month service. I though since I paid for May he would finish up the month. He will not refund half month payment which is $47.50. If you use him and stop your service do not give 2 weeks notice, or pay in advance. Doesn't seem to be honest person.

Big T's Lawn Care
Having dealt with many landscapers in the past, Big T's Lawns Service is my favorite Lawn service. Their quality of work truly outshines the competition, no wonder why they do ten yards on my street. Weeds are kept down, hedges trimmed, and the lawn guys even change their mow patterns. Their Sprinkler guy saved me on the same day when my sprinkler valve was stuck on and even located and fixed my landscape lighting wire. Tyler also recommended a great lawn spray service and my lawn has never looked better. If you want great quality service call Big T's

Big T's Lawn Care
I am very impressed with their work and will GLADLY refer this company to anyone that needs the best lawn service. They are cheap but they don't do a cheap job. My friend referred this company to me. Her mother is 7 Day Adventist and didn't want them to cut her grass on Saturdays, because "It was her Sabbath" and this company worked around her schedule for quite some time. I know I wouldnt have dealt with that too well so that says a lot about the owner and the people who work for him. There, now I feel better.

Tips & Advices
Irrigation system advantages:
  • Lowers water bill and maintenance time with scheduled watering
  • Evenly distributes water
Irrigation system disadvantages:
  • Professionally installed systems cost between $3,000-$4,000 for a quarter-acre lot.
  • Some do-it-yourself systems cost up to $1,500 but are difficult to install.
  • You may need to call a professional electrician and plumber, adding $300-$600 to your project.
Some plants can stand up to the cold weather, like kale or pansies. These can be planted in the autumn or early winter. Other plants need to wait until the soil is warm and ready. Plant perennial flowers in mid-autumn or mid-spring. If you're planting from seed or sprout, you can generally find information about planting conditions on the package.
Why get artificial grass?
  • Cuts down on lawn maintenance
  • It's environmentally friendly since there’s no need to water.
  • Artificial grasses may be more attractive than real grass in drought-stricken areas.
Why stick to the real deal?
  • Artificial grass has a high upfront cost - $15 to $20 per square foot.
  • It can be difficult to install.
  • Inexpensive options might look unnatural.
  • It gets hot in the sun.
First, determine which pests you're dealing with. Mounds or tunnels indicate moles or voles. Apply castor oil to your lawn; they'll find another digging spot. Determine which bugs you have by pouring a bucket of soapy water onto the lawn. The bugs will surface so you can identify them. Milky spore and nematodes keep grubs and other bugs at bay. Insecticidal soap also works. The best way to prevent pests is with good yard maintenance. Certain bugs prefer overwatered lawns or yards with thatches. Regular mowing, watering, and dethatching discourage pests from moving in.
Fertilizer isn't always necessary, but it can keep your lawn looking lush and healthy. Use fertilizer with slow release nitrogen so it doesn't encourage weeds to grow. Keep in mind that overfertilizing can spur weed growth. However, under-fertilizing can result in weak grass, which gives weeds more space to take root.
