Response to "disappointing service" –This poster does not know the statute she quotes because it clearly states differently. One should be very careful when accusing someone of wrong doing. Per Florida statute 64b8-10-003 \\"Recognizing that patient access to medical records is important and necessary to assure continuity of patient care, the Board of Medicine urges physicians to provide their patients a copy of their medical records, upon request.... The Board, however, also recognizes that there is a cost of reproducing medical records ...... Therefore, the following rule sets forth the permitted costs for the reproduction of medical records. 1 Any person licensed pursuant to Chapter 458, F.S., required to release copies of patient medical records may condition such release upon payment by the requesting party of the reasonable costs of reproducing the records. 2 For patients and governmental entities, the reasonable costs of reproducing copies of written or typed documents or reports shall not be more than the following a For the first 25 pages, the cost shall be 1.00 per page. b For each page in excess of 25 pages, the cost shall be 25 cents.\\" I am Dr. Stewart Dobbins. I know this poster well. It seems that she owes us money, when we sent her a bill she argued the fact. She then turned around and transfered. The charges quoted to her was an attempt to get her to come to the office to pick up her records and to collect the money she owed. We transfered her records for free to her new physician. BTW, to this day she has NEVER paid us the money she owes..Go figure! I pray she finds some serenity and does no one undo harm by FALSELY accusing them of wrong doings.

Norma L. Waite, MD Medical Group
Dr. Norma Waite has been my OB/GYN for a number of years. I started visiting her when I moved from NYC. One day, I received a phone call from my Mom, who at the time resided in NYC. She stated that Dr. Waite, one of the best OBGYNs had just relocated to Orlando. My Mom, Mrs. Elaine Fenty , who was a nurse at one of the largest hospitals in NYC- The same hospital in which Dr. Waite had her practice, my mother encouraged me to locate and to start visiting Dr. Waite, because she was known by staff and patients alike, as having a spirit of excellence. She is very approachable, caring and that she was known to have a cheerful yet professional demeanor. My mother told that she trusted Dr. Waite to give me optimum care. Being a new resident to Orlando, I was trying to build my medical care team and not being familiar with who was the best and brightest doctors in this area for my medical needs, I was delighted to get the recommendation from my Mom, who was known as a great nurse herself, she worked in the same unit as Dr. Waite. So, I trusted my Mom's wisdom and soon after I was delighted to get in touch with such a trusted and well liked OBGYN , Dr. Norma Waite! When I started working and was eligible for medical insurance on my job, I checked the medical insurance brochures thoroughly to see which one Dr. Waite accepted. That's how I made my final decision every year in selecting my insurance coverage. Since then, I have recommended many of my friends and family members, because of her integrity and professionalism. I highly recommend Dr. Norma Waite!

Center for Reproductive Medicine
Dr. Sejal D. Patel and her team, including her nurses Courtney and Venus, were amazing! My husband and I found them to be extremely patient throughout the last year as we went through several procedures and ultimately in vitro (IVF). This could have been a very trying experience, and of course was emotional throughout, but they walked us through it every step of the way answering every question or concern that we had. They were always quick to respond, whether through consultations, by phone, or by email. Now we are expecting twins!

I have been seen by Dr Waite for the past 12 years and would not trust any other doctor. She always takes the time to make sure that no matter what the situation is (even through labor ) that I am taken care of in a professional and caring manor. She always puts her patients needs first and ensures that she shares her knowledge about all medical topics with her patients. I drive 40 minutes for my appointments because I could not imagine seeing any other doctor. Dr Waite is a part of my family and delivered my wonderful baby boy

The staff is wonderful here. I went in as a new patient for an annual pap. I explained some discomfort to the Dr. Waite and she explained that she wanted to run some additional tests. I am appreciative of her concern for my concerns and not dismissing them immediately like previous doctors have. Sharon (her medical assistant/nurse) is wonderful. Made me feel at home while I was there. I'm happy with my choice and feel like I finally have a doctor that truly cares.

Tips & Advices
OB/GYNs learn to treat infertility as part of their standard education. OBGYNs who further their training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility are known as fertility specialists.
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is a treatment where medication is used to replace hormones a woman's body does not create naturally. Women are prescribed either estrogen alone or a mix of estrogen and progesterone. The former is given to women who've had hysterectomies, while the latter is for postmenopausal women. HRT used to be a common treatment, but doctors have prescribed it less often in recent years, as concerns of negative side effects increased.
Endometriosis is a chronic condition where uterine tissue (endometrium) grows in areas outside the uterus. This can cause extreme pain, especially around menstruation and during sex. Other symptoms include infertility, chronic fatigue, and painful urination or bowel movements during menstruation. In addition, many women with endometriosis also have allergies, frequent yeast infections, or sensitivity to certain chemicals.
Morning sickness is a common pregnancy symptom that includes nausea and occasional vomiting. Despite its name, morning sickness can occur at any time of day. The exact reason for this condition isn't clear, although most believe it results from hormone changes affecting muscle contraction and relaxation in the stomach and intestines. Another theory suggests morning sickness is caused by an abundance of intestinal bacteria in pregnant woman.
OBGYNs can prescribe or perform the following types of birth control:
  • Contraceptive pills
  • Birth control shots
  • Implants
  • Diaphragms
  • Vaginal rings
  • Cervical caps
  • Intrauterine devices
  • Tubal ligation
  • Hysterectomies
Women do not need to see an OBGYN to obtain over-the-counter forms of birth control such as male condoms, female condoms, or sponges.
