University of Doglando
This place is really 5 star to me and my little Border Collie, Coraline. We would not be as happy and satisfied with each other without the help I get from all the staff at Doglando. I am a single, professional who works some long hours. Yet, I really wanted to get an active companion dog. A dog with intelligence and spirit to run with me, take to Crossfit, and try agility classes with. Border Collies are perfect for an active lifestyle, but I knew I would need help keeping my smarty pants, little busy bee occupied. Enter the University of Doglando. From the first week that I brought Cora home we started attending weekly puppy parties for socialization and a weekly puppy P.L.A.Y. class to begin training foundations. The puppy parties were not only an hour for the puppies to play in the sand yard, but the staff offer tips on everything from housebreaking to safe play between dogs. The puppy P.L.A.Y. class was an hour one evening per week for 3 weeks and taught us some foundations such as recalls. Than we went into PreKanine 1 and 2. These introduced a plethora of obedience foundations from loose leash walking, sit, down, stays, getting into a crate, and some fun tricks such as weaving in between legs. Not to mention it's additional time for the puppies to socialize and learn to focus around other people and dogs. In addition to the classes, my puppy goes to the Enrichment program (so much more than day care!!!) several days a week, based on my work schedule. At Enrichment Cora gets to learn to play appropriately with other dogs, swim, and her manners, obedience, and even some of our agility foundations are reinforced. I work in healthcare, and nights when I am on call ridiculous hours Cora goes home with a staff member. This is an option they offer which I really appreciate. I like my puppy to be comfortable with a variety of people and situations, and to know she is loved! On these nights when we have to be apart the staff are really good about sending me updates on how she is doing. I'm not sure where I rank on the maintenance scale of dog mommies, but I have the feeling I'm definitely up there. The staff are great about putting up with my requests for information and frequent schedule changes. Cora and I plan on continuing our relationship with Doglando through the Enrichment program, and also by joining some of the specialty classes they offer such as Nose/Scent Work and Dock Diving. Take a tour of their facility - I have visited numerous other facilities and none in Orlando has as much space and fun stuff for the dogs to do: acres of fields to run in, a pool to swim in, a sand lot to play in, a variety of toys and objects to climb, a lagoon to cool off in on our insanely hot Orlando summer days, and a caring and attentive staff.

University of Doglando
I wish I could post separate reviews as we have had many varied experiences with Doglando! UNIVERSITY OF DOGLANDO: We brought our little street dog (from New Delhi, India) to Doglando for some socialization and training as he sorely needed some. The staff and trainers were all kind, gentle, loving and provided an amazing skill set for our little pup to propel him towards a great future of being able to interact with other dogs, be off-leash and go for leashed walks and behave himself. He started out his time at Doglando being slightly aggressive, generally obnoxious and not very responsive to human teaching/instruction. After some sessions with Teena, Lauren, Noah, Nichole and the other trainers, we were able to really see amazing signs of improvement! We would recommend - highly - Doglando for pups that need to be retrained to understand how to function successfully inside of their family / tribe.CAMP DOGLANDO : Our two youngest children participated in Camp Doglando this year and we HIGHLY recommend it for children in the Orlando area! Not your typical summer camp, this one provides children with the opportunity to get a real hands on understanding of what it means to be a dog owner, care for animals and be a positive, contributing member to society when it comes to cats and dogs. They spent two solid weeks doing some serious work learning about the ins and outs of dog ownership (including veterinary clinic visits, shelter visits, rescue facilities, etc.). In addition, they were each tasked with training a puppy, which included bringing them home to crate train, and teach basic commands such as sit, stay, crate, bed, down, heel, etc. At the end of their two weeks, they were responsible to help adopt out the puppies that they helped to train. We are moving away from Florida, but if we were staying, we would definitely be signing them up for Camp Doglando again next year. It was truly an amazing experience.

D'look Luxury Boarding Spa & Daycare
I had been taking my Husky to a large brand grooming salon for many years and my dog hated going in every time. I saw the sign for D’Look and simply walked in. I can’t brag and boast enough about the excellent service and care my dog has received since that day. The owners are so pleasant, professional, accommodating, friendly and the list truly goes on. They are always the answer to all of my dog needs. She looks amazing every time and her grooming lasts longer than before, not to mention her ear infections have now stopped. She’s happy to let the owners take her leash and lead her in. I have wanted a second dog for a long time but feared the grooming and training hassles I had originally. Kerry at D’Look has been me help every step of the way. Helping me with my new puppy with boarding while I am away for long hours at work at a great price and offer obedience classes right in the same place. I would recommend anyone to them and know your pet is in amazing hands.

Preppy Pet Suites Boarding & Day Care
Great place. The staff here always spoil my lucy. I have used this facility for two years and was there dropping my girl off when this person was there. She was totally rude and mad because of the cc machine was not working then finding any fault starting going off on the staff about a collar. I did see her dogs and they looked fine with me. The owner tried to calm her down and heard she even gave a discount for the collar even though I know any boarding facility is not responsible for lost items from using other facilities in the past. I really felt sorry for the staff. Later on when I spoke to staff upon picking lucy up we were talking about it. apparrently this lady gave them a bad check. How awful is that for over 500.00. No wonder small businesses have a hard time. I did feel I needed to let people really know. This is a place where you know your dogs are happy and I have never had a complaint

Preppy Pet Suites Boarding & Day Care
My name is Mary and I am raving about Preppy Pet. My dog King have been boarding for 9 months because my apartment at the time did not accept dogs over 25lbs. I have to thank Kay and the owner for their patience and understanding when it came to payments and visits. I would also like to thank the staff for the loving care they gave to King. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion. My experience with The Preppy Pet franchise have been outstanding. I will continue to use their services in the future. Give it a try, take your furry love one there for a play day or even boarding. Make up ur own mind. It's a great place. :) MQ

Bark Ave Resort
My dog sitter has a family emergency and left me in a bind. I stopped in to see if they could help. I expressed my concerns as I have dogs actively being shown and rescues and i was very picky. I was told the owner would call. The owner called and answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. I'm renting a play room so my dogs can all stay together I'm thankful they understood my concerns and that my dogs safety is my utmost concern I enjoy that my dogs won't be caged in a high stress kennel but instead will be in an open room with outside play time. .

Tips & Advices
Pets that do not get along with other animals may incur an additional fee. Some facilities have special solitary sleeping and play animals for these types of pets.
A checklist for what to bring to a pet kennel includes:
  • Vaccination records
  • A favorite toy or blanket
  • Food and feeding instructions (if the pet has dietary restrictions or is a picky eater)
  • Medication (if necessary, in its original bottle and with written instructions)
Some pet kennels have veterinarians as part of their daily staff, while others only have vets part time or on call.
Most kennels can provide basic care such as administering medications, but owners of pets with serious medical issues should choose a facility with a veterinarian on call.
Bordetella, commonly known as kennel cough, is highly contagious, and most dogs catch it at least once in their lifetimes. As such, all dogs should be vaccinated at least 7 days before boarding.
