Advance Family Practice
I was referred to Dr. V and Advance Family Practice by a coworker and started going this year. Both Dr. V, PA Lindsay, and assistant Courtney have been amazing in helping me with my medical issues. The office is always very busy so make sure you make an appointment, but know the reason they are busy is because they are a great facility and have retained a very large patient base. The front desk team is always polite and patient, even when there is a full waiting room, and as long as you arrive on time for your appointment, the wait is never long (I have a problem with this as I am usually running late and they still get me in to see the doctor with very little wait). Overall, I am happy that I found a doctor's office that I feel comfortable going to. Every member of the staff is respectful and friendly, and for someone that has typically dreaded going to the doctor, in the past, I never feel judged or uncomfortable speaking about any medical concerns I have.

Advance Family Practice
I have been going here for almost two years. They helped me get off pain killers. When it came to my psych medication I had my Psychiatrist send in a report of the medications that I take for my diagnoses, and then was able to transfer them over, so I no longer had to see two doctors for prescriptions. I was depressed and had been on an MAORI and only seemed to make things worse. They recommend I try and SRI and have not ever been as happy as one should. At any good practice they take your blood, but they take time to do it in house and send it out. (No Diagnostic Health facilities where people are chronically sick and usually bad cleanliness. That shows Mr fish oil does not know the ins and outs.) They are by the book and require an MRI or some proof that you need to be on any narcotics for pain. The blood test showed me exactly what I was deficient in and what foods would provide me to work as a complete human being.

Advance Family Practice
Complimentary Letter -- Patient Services:After nearly three decades of “Dr. Patel’s father and son doctoring,” Connie and I can say that they are simply the best! “They” includes everyone at their office – Lindsay, the recently hired Physician Assistant, Office Manager Maxine (a heart of gold!), Medical Assistants Ralph and Christy (is there anything they can’t do?), Cisco, the Phlebotomist (“a good stick” every time) and Tanita, the Referral Coordinator (she gets it right every time). We are part of their family and they ours. They have always taken on our medical challenges with the utmost professionalism, patience, persistence, compassion and encouragement. We couldn’t ask for anything more.We know our futures are as bright as they can possibly be with Advance Family Practice!!- Mark and Connie

Dr. David B Cilbrith, MD
Dr. Cilbrith was our doctor for over 20 years. He was very knowledgeable and personally made sure my wife and I had the best care. He saved my wife's life with accurate and compassionate Care. We are looking for a new Internist since he has now retired and hope to find a doc with same kind of passion but since then have come to realize it is difficult to bond with a doctor who takes time to explain your labs and interpret them like Dr. Cilbrith. I don't understand done of the negative reviews. I know many of his patients and all if them are heartbroken to see him go but he deserves to be recognized as a physician who was passionate, advocating for the decency if his patients care and compassionate demeanor. He is sorely missed. Thank you for your understanding and compassion you consistently gave us.

Burkhart, Bradd G MD
I do NOT understand the person's rating, or ranting who says he is arrogant... I love the guy, and his nurse Lynn. finally had to go to Rooster shots for the knees...I have read many horror stories of pain beyond belief, and little to no relief> I was given the injections by both doc and Lynn, and out of the six, only one hurt at all, the other 5, NOTHING ....painless. ( some pain and stiffness for a couple of days after, but not during the injections.... 4 weeks after the last shot, PAIN FREE! New knees, nope, at 62 I wont be playing racquet ball ....but I walk pain free, climb stairs pain free, and sleep through the night pain free!! Doc has always been great, never in a rush, very good bed side manner, if my knees get to the point of surgery....Dr. Burkhart will be doing it

Silva Filho, Celso P
I was nervous when I first started this journey but that went away as soon as I met Dr. Silva... he made me feel comfortable and hopeful; he was not only professional but also very caring and positive and made me feel good about the whole process. He answered all my questions, removed all my doubts, and eased all of my concerns... as promised and by the grace of God, he made our dream come true... I became pregnant on my first IUI cycle. I highly recommend Dr. Silva to anyone who needs help conceiving their little miracle.... the staff was also amazing, the nurses were all very sweet and always returned my calls and answered any questions I had. I have absolutely no complaints. Im eternally grateful to dr silva and his wonderful staff.

Hitchcock Health Institute
The Dr. You Are Looking ForI am a patient of Dr. Hitchcock going on several years. She is superb! Love going to her office. Her prices are reasonable (I don't have insurance right now). She has helped me make strong progress in reversing my diabetes, blood pressure and identified that I had hypothyroidism--common in women 50+.She takes time with you, seemingly as much as you want, i.e., you don't feel rushed.Rarely kept waiting. The couple of times I have been kept waiting for too long, it was due to patients that truly required urgent care (if it were me, I';d want her to take time too).I can say enough about her! She is my hero as a doctor and a mother!Debbie Deland

Franz Center
My son was having a horrific allergic reaction to something. Huge welts all over his body and was itchy as heck. I took him to FH Centra Care and all they did was give us allergy medicine, which didn't do jack. The next day he wasn't any better, so I decided to take to Dr. Franz's office. There we were seen by the most amazing Nurse assistant (can't remember her name, maybe Margie), who happened to be an allergy expert. Immediately she knew what to do and my son started getting better the following day. I was blown away the wealth of knowledge that this woman had. Love that place!

Salzman, Ignacio, MD
All these fake reviewers (RAJ S. ihateu) are smearing a good doctor. I am writing and publishing using my Fb account so you see that I am real. He saved my life in 2009 and offers a no nonsense approach to the medical practice ever since. When other physicians are trying to squeeze every cent from the insurance plans and my pocket, he explains every option and allows you reach a sound decision. He is a dedicated professional and you just have to be in his office to see how busy he is taking care of his patients. I will recommend Dr. Salzman to my family and friends. Juan

First Choice Pediatrics Semoran
I absolutely love Dr. Muhumuza. If it weren't for him I would never return to this location. They are severely understaffed & extremely busy at all times. I can never get anyone to answer the phone in under 15 minutes of waiting. In fact I have called several times and never gotten anyone to answer. When my son was sick I called for 3 days in a row before I finally just showed up at the office demanding to see someone. The office staff came and apologized but it was very unprofessional.
Tips & Advices
An osteopathic physician practices a comprehensive form of medicine that takes a holistic approach to a person's health. Instead of specializing in one system or set of organs, an osteopathic specialist focuses on the health of the total body. This includes evaluating environmental factors that affect a person's well-being.
Many family doctors deliver babies, especially in rural areas without a nearby OB/GYN. However, most family doctors only deliver for low-risk pregnancies and do not perform cesarean sections.
Family nurse practitioners are highly educated nurses able to provide medical care individually or with the assistance of another professional. Family nurse practitioners obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then take the National Council Licensure Examination to begin working as a registered nurse. Then, they continue their education and obtain a Master of Science in Nursing. Following that, they become certified in family practice via the American Nurses Credentialing Center of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, allowing them to become certified family nurse practitioners.
Some family doctors provide immunizations while others do not. Typically, doctors who work as part of a large practice are more likely to offer vaccines in-house. Doctors in offices of one to two physicians are more likely to refer patients to a public health department or other immunization provider.
A physician's assistant is a person qualified to perform routine medical services. This individual is professionally licensed and certified, but they may not have the extensive med school education of a doctor. That said, PAs do complete almost three years of postgraduate study and more than 2,000 hours of rotations.
