Soul Quest Ayahuasca Church of Mother Earth is a spiritual learning and healing center focused on providing the community with service, education, spiritual fellowship, healing practices and guidance. We believe in the rights of Mother Earth, and in protecting the practice of Mother Earth-based South Native American spiritual traditions, ceremonies, and sacred indigenous natural medicines. What is of the earth is our holy sacrament, and we retain the rights as citizens of this nation to use plant medicines as tools for the benefit of our physical health, spiritual growth, and personal evolution. Our Indigenous Sacred Ceremonies are with the use of traditional medicinal plants, including but not limited to Ayahuasca, Rapé, Kambô, and Sananga. All natural substances and their derivatives, minerals, herbs, and plants. We also work to protect the spiritual ceremonies, sacred practices, and healing ways of ancient northern and southern Native American cultures, spiritual traditions that revere Mother Earth, God, and Goddess as one. Our ceremonies work with your personal living conditions and integrate your individual ceremonial experiences after the sessions. Founder / Spiritual Guide and Medicine Man Chris Young and his wife Verena Young founded Soul Quest Church of the Mother Earth in September 2013. Soul Quest's purpose is to protect the practice of North and South American Spiritual traditions, spiritual ceremonies, sacred practices and natural healing ways. At a young age, Chris heard the call to be of service to humanity and in 1996 he became certificate in Phlebotomy and Medical assisting where he worked in a gero-psychiatric unit dealing with the study, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders with the elderly. In 1997 Chris went back to school to study Emergency Medicine and received an EMT certificate and began working as an Emergency Room Tech at a local Hospital. After several years working in the medical field and seeing the profit focused side of western medicine, Chris decided to move to Germany and spent three years studying Alternative Medicine. In Europe, Chris gained extensive experience working with Sacred Plant Medicines and their ritualistic ceremonial traditions. Chris discovered his spiritual passion for Ayahuasca. After attending countless Ayahuasca religious ceremonies, he realized his true calling ... to bring sacred plant medicine back to his homeland - the United States. In a visionary state, he was instructed to build an Ayahuasca Church, peach from the Ayahuasca Manifesto and bring the miraculous healing medicine of the sprit of Ayahuasca to folks back home. Chris and Verena chose Orlando, Florida to be ground zero for the Ayahuasca Church because of its perfect climate and easy access to its international airports. For the first year Soul Quest Church of the Mother Earth operated out of a charming sanctuary in downtown Orlando called True Serenity. At True Serenity, Chris and Verena were able to begin offering healing ceremonies church services on a smaller scale. One year later, Chris and Verena purchased the 4.5 acres of land that now houses Soul Quest Church of the Mother Earth - a 5000 sq ft Ayahuasca church and healing retreat center. Soul Quest offers weekly church services on Sundays and a weekly healing support group via phone and web cast. Chris is responsible for handling the administration activities of the church as well as organizing all aspects of the healing retreats. Chris is also actively involved in all Sacred Plant Medicine Ceremonies as the Medicine Man. Chris is supported by a number of traveling shamans (curanderos) and trained facilitators who provide nurturing guidance and unconditional loving support for all church members.

Whatever your passion, you'll find a place to belong and serve at Spirit of Joy. We often get beat up in this world; both at work and from the pulpit. But not here; our worship lifts us up, cheers us on, and sustains us with God's Word and fuel for the journey.

Sunday services are thought-provoking, if not inspirational, and they are very diverse in topic. When we first visited we were welcomed with open arms and quickly became members. The youth religious education program makes learning fun, and my child looks forward to the weekly ""classes,""' as well as their special events like Super Sundays and Social Action Sundays. They also have an interesting adult RE and a great teen fellowship. We also enjoy the Sunday mUUUSic program, which ranges from traditional (hymns) to classical (amazing pianist) to contemporary (the UUUS band plays songs from Frank Sinatra to Bob Marley to Katie Perry). There are several community and interest groups for you to join, as well as committee groups. Every second Tuesday of the month there is a potluck following services as a way of welcoming new visitors and building a sense of community. There is such much to love about this church, I could go on and on. Stop by one Sunday...you'll be glad you did.

My family and I are looking for a good church home to get connected too. From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel welcomed. Everyone was very friendly and since our visit, they have done their best to reach out to us. I've received texts from one of the incredible families that we met and even a card in the mail. We like to look around before putting our roots down. The only glitch in the works was the youth group. They have the middle school and high schoolers combined which I am sure is because they are so small. My kids were made to feel welcome by the youth minister but not really by the kids. They already had their clicks and the only other friendly kid was another visitor. They sat next to each other because they felt excluded from the rest of the groups. (I don't think it is uncommon for kids to do this, but it would have been nice to see some teens/preteens who could transcend the barriers and be friendly to the new kids.)

This is my daughter's third year here, we returned after a 5 month stint in Public School. The 2008/9 year started with a new principal, Melissa Wittcop who is going above and beyond. She is active in the school, coaching, math classes. We see her everywhere. My daughter is learning what it means to be a Christian while getting a top education that focuses on reading as the basis of all subjects, including math, a classical education.

This school is a tight ship, run by a caring and compassionate captain and crew. Our daughter has attended from 3 months old until now (2 1/2 years old). The staff are kind, fair, diligent, and will go to great lengths to keep your little one safe and learning new things every day. My wife and I are thankful to have found this wonderful place for our little girl.

I have recently moved to the Orlando area and was looking for a place of worship and Faith United welcomed me in. My experience has been a great one . Never have i ever met a bunch of people with such a big heart. The service was great the worship was real and the message was a timely one. What i like most about it is that its small and it feels like your home. The Pastor and his wife makes you feel welcome and everybody wants to know your name. Looking for a good place to worship i suggest you come on down and i am certain you will be blessed. And if you are in need of clothing and food you can get them right there at Faith united every Wednesday @3pm

This is my daughters sixth year at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School. Scholastically they are a top notch school recently awarded a 2007 National Blue Ribbon School of Academic Excellence by the Department of Education. This is a tribute to the dedicated and hard working faculty and staff. They have a well rounded curriculum that offers physical education, music, spanish, art, band, choir and chapel. In addition, they have an awesome athletic program that offers both boys and girls a variety of seasonal sports to choose from. Together the parish and school offer a true sense of community and we are fortunate to have found such a terrific school right in our own backyard. Its Orlando’s best kept secret!
