Gordy was extremely professional, honest and thorough in his inspection. I was very impressed with the time he spent on the inspection and the report. He may have saved my family from making a purchase that would have cost more than we were prepared for. I would recommend Gordy and his company to anyone.

I would have put a zero for everything this Roby and his wife Georgettte Orourke(?) represent! I agree, they are con artist!!! They broke our tile roof and didn't let us know until my husband found out after over a month during pouring rain! He keeps promising to come and do repairs but never shows up!!! What's our recourse on this type of fraud??

He has you sign a contract but if you get on sunbiz you will see that his company has not been active for 3 years. He doesn't pay his taxes and has no insurance and is committing fraud on people.Roby Head is a con artist

Steve Morgan Pressure Washing & Painting
Painting and concrete repair were very poorly done.Poor attention to detail and apparently lack of expertise:House was sprayed and never back rolled ("holidays" across the entire house)Poor "cut in" (jagged lines between trim and body, overspray on trim / windows / fence, entire areas were missed and are still the original house color, the house was not trenched as promised originally) Failure to cleanup work area (paint chips everywhere, cigarette butts strewn across the entire yard, blue tape, etc.)Concrete repairs was neither level nor blended. No attempt was made to "blend" or "feather the repair. The "repaired" surface is more of a hazard than the original crack.Deck paint was poorly applied and is now cracking / peeling just 5 months after application.Unable to satisfactorily repair "bubbling" paint, even after agreeing to pay for additional sealer.

Davis and Son Painting
They did a TERRIBLE job and if that wasn't bad enough they have the WORST customer service on planet earth. If I could give a ZERO star rating I would. Grade F- work. Since they have ruined so many houses they changed their business name and website to DavisPaintingOrlando.com
Tips & Advices
For a long-lasting paint job, a clean wall is crucial. Ask how they plan to clean your walls, if at all, before getting started. A high-quality company will thoroughly prepare a wall so that the paint will lay smoothly and last a long time.
Yes. A well-established company will have more experience and likely more references for you to reach out to than a new company that's just getting off the ground. Be sure to ask for references so you can speak to former customers about their experience working with the painter. When speaking to these people, ask about:
  • Whether they had issues with the crew
  • If the painters were messy or neat
  • How the paint has held up since the project was completed
The quality of the paint will affect how good the walls look when the project is completed. If your contractor says they plan on using a paint you don't like, feel free to request an alternative.
If the contractor makes a point to train new hires on safety techniques as well as quality standards on the job, you're probably in good hands.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of cases where a painter has stolen items from a home or caused damage to the house or injury to the homeowner. Subcontractors may not be as skilled as employees, and the contractor you're hiring may not have much experience working with them, making them more of a risk. Additionally, ask if the painters are employees or subcontractors, and what the screening or hiring process is like.
