Someone came out to our home on a Sunday for us.!At the time whatever we had used to try and clear the clog had worked so the tech. could not really find what was wrong. There was no charge. Not even for a service call on a weekend! A few days later the issue returned. This time we left it alone and tech #4957, Mike, came to check it out. He explained so much to me and gave me a lot of guidance and understanding for what was going on and why. He was very knowledgeable and confident in what he was doing. He knew with the age of our home we were probably going to need more work at some point but it wasn't presented as a plan to try and get a homeowner to spend a ton of money. It was explained so that I knew what my options were, had a clear understanding of them, and would have time to plan financially if we were to have to take the next step. There were two options. Jetting, or, the scary costly one of full replacement of the pipes. He called a coworker about taking images of the pipes and that person, Trey, was at my home in the next half hour. He put the camera into the pipes and had the screen right there so I could see for myself what it looked like. I did not need to be a plumber to know in many location, the pipes were not perfectly round. They were bulging and in some areas, completely missing, only being held together by the minerals and dirt that had accumulated and hardened. So, now I know where I stand and can plan accordingly and am assured by the fact that I saw it with my own eyes. There was no charge for this service. Trey walked around my home and gave me specific details about the best way to drill through that would be the smallest amount of tearing up in and around the home as possible. He also took the time to educate me on the homeowners insurance involvement and how that can help save on cost. In addition, the final product would have a lifetime guarantee and be transferable. Long story short, they were incredibly helpful. Lifetime customer here

This has been our third call to Roto-Rooter in as many years. We've had problems with (2) different main lines before that turned out to be on the city side which was documented and defended beautifully to which the city had to reimburse that portion of the service. The techs they have sent out have been excellent in explaining and showing everything possible for us to understand our sewer system. They have never minded me being nosey in an effort to learn and I now know more than I ever wanted to about my sewer lines. Tom & Mike C. are great guys that I would have no problem referring to friends and family. This last call for service was for the main sewer line out. After coordinating through Tom for fastest service and correct tools to bring for the job, Mike was sent out as he is one of the only guys who runs the jetter machine. Tom listened to what I had done in an effort to fix the problem and we both agreed that sending the jetter was probably a good idea. Throughout the less than 18hrs from call to service I was updated as to the who's and when's someone would show up. Being that I needed a special machine to clear my line I understood. Mike showed up ahead of schedule, which I was properly informed was happening, listened again to what I had tried and got straight to work. In a matter of a couple hours I had a clean line and was explained and shown the problems and discussed solutions going forward. After service Mike provided me with a proposal for the future work that will be necessary. When you're in a pinch and can't figure it out on your own or have to fight the city for something that is their responsibility call the pros, which Roto-Rooter has professionally demonstrated time and again. Once again, great guys, from dispatch to the techs.

Jeff's Kitchen Bath & Beyond
I called them on the 2 of August to see if they could come to my home to find a leak outside my house that was generating over 20000 gal of water in a day. I found out about th leak from my water company but there was no isobar signs of leakage anywhere. When Jeffs kitchens baths and more came out on the 3 of August they were unable to find it which was baffling to them due to the size of the leak. They said there should have been a huge wet area and should have stepped knee deep into it. So they recommended a company that specializes in finding leaks to come out and find it and then they would come back out and fix it. They didn't charge me to come out to see what the problem was either like a lot of other companies I looked into did. Once the Leak Dr came out and found my leak, I called Jeff back and he said that he couldn't have anybody out there until Monday due to the size of the job and it was Friday that I called him back. He said that he would have a crew out there first thing in the morning and I was fine with this because I could stay with my parents over the weekend. Monday morning he had a crew out there and took care of my leak and he was even able to keep the total price of the job within the estimate he gave me. They did a great job in a timely manner too.

The city water meter person came to my house to let me know that a significant amount of water had passed through the meter since the last reading. I do not have a pool, and it's only my son and I in the house. After he alerted me to a potential leak, I signed onto Angie's list and looked for a reputable local plumber. I found Jeff's Kitchen Bath & Beyond. Jeff came out on 10/21/11. They arrived and determined that the leak was on the pipe coming into my house. Jeff felt like the leak was pretty close to an outside wall. He felt that the leak might have been just under the slab, so he began looking. His apprentice, Byran, continued to look for the leak outside. At first the leak location could not be determined, so Jeff called another company who specifically does leak detection. Jeff and Bryan found the leak in the copper pipe at a 90 degree bend where the pipe ran under the slab. They called and cancelled the appointment with the leak detection company, and were able to repair the pipe with Pex pipe. They installed the new pipe and tested it before departing.

After using the bathroom the toilet clogged. Tried doing a normal plunger and it seemed to work, except for the fact that it started coming out of the bath tub drain right next to it. Than the other bathroom room started backing up a little. The original bathroom started kicking out sewage from both the toilet and bath tub. We called a few plumbers for emergency Sunday service, but Jeff was the only one to call me back and he did so very fast. He was very nice on the phone and explained the extra weekend charge so there was no surprises. He took my information and around 10-20min later one of his service men (Brian) gave me a call. I gave Brian the information he requested and he showed up about an hour later. He was very polite and did an excellent job, I thought the whole thing was going to cost at least twice as much as it did, especially being on a Sunday. I would highly recommend Jeff's Kitchen Bath & Beyond, until they prove otherwise, they are my plumber from now on.

I called in the morning because of a continuing main line root problem. Tom #3361 arrived within a few hours & snaked the line. He also showed me the camera view of the damaged line & after deciding to go ahead with the main line replacement he coordinated all the paperwork, financing, and crew. That afternoon Rick #2751 came by to get setup for the big job the following day. Rick & Larry Jr #3359 showed up first thing next morning & worked diligently ALL DAY to assure my service wouldn't be disrupted for too long. They kept me informed of the progress so I could plan my day accordingly. My service was off for a very short time & I so appreciate their hard work and professionalism. It was a huge job digging through all those roots from my numerous trees. And its very reassuring that my new main line is guaranteed for life. What a job - well done!! Thanks guys! Am very satisfied with the 3 day operation & will definitely call again for plumbing service.

Thank you to all the people at Shamrock Plumbing who were involved in the process of repiping our house including the drywall company who did an amazing job.Mark come over to give me an estimate on repiping our house. My wife and I made the decision after the third leak almost flooded the whole house. The estimate included all the drywall repair and texture but not to paint. The price was almost the same as two of the other companies but with Shamrock's reputation and discounts the cost was very competitive.The crew came out the next day and completed the work in about 8 hours and they cleaned up after. Don, Rick, Bobby and Jiggy were very knowledgeable and worked great as a team.After the drywall was repaired and painted you couldn't see where the original cut was made. Thank you Eddie and all the crew.Great experience overall, I would recommend Shamrock Plumbing and Fields Maintenance to anyone.

I had the recent pleasure of working with Frank Gay Services because my AC went out. Frank Gay sent a technician named Gregg out to my house to fix my AC unit because it was running but not blowing cold. They were on time, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Gregg diagnosed the whole system not just the bad part and showed me the bad Capacitor and flushed my condensation line. He had a detailed checklist which he took the time to go over with me so I could understand how my 12 year old system was performing. I received ZERO sales pitches. And was told if I decided to upgrade my system to a new one within the year he would credit the entire service call towards the new system. HOW GREAT IS THAT?!!!! A friend recommended Franks to me and Im very thankful. I will Definitely call Frank Gay again for all of my service work. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

Came home from work thursday morning to find out that my water heater was not working. I called around to a few companies who their first availability was within at least 2-3 days away. Since bathing in buckets is not fun for me, I had to get it done ASAP. I called Roto Rooter, and they told me that they could fix it that day. They had a lot of calls out so the dispatcher was always calling me to inform me on what was going on. I was really satisfied with the costumer service. The guy came later in the afternoon, by watching him I realized If i knew that was the problem I could of change it myself. But he was very professional and very informative. I have no regrets with Roto Rooter. Only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they can be pricey.

We had to call Roto-Rooter on a Sunday afternoon when our toilets and tubs started backing up and flooding the bathroom. They were here within 30 mins of us calling. Donovan Dixie was our technician #3032. He was excellent and very personable and knowledgable. He explained everything he was doing, and what the problems were. He even kept working right through the rain and was fast! He gave us advice and tips on how to keep the system running, as well as a jug of pipe shield. We love that there is a 6 month warranty. He also told us to check online to see if we were eligible for one of their coupons and saved us $40! We will keep using roto-rooter anytime we have a problem! Definiately recommend them and Donovan to be professional, and fast

  • What, if any, professional associations do you belong to?
  • May I have a list of references?
  • Do you offer a written warranty for your work?
  • Will I need a permit for this work?
It is important to have a written warranty for any work or repairs done to the plumbing in your house, especially if it is a major repair. Look for a professional  who is willing to  stand by his or her work.
Before you hire a plumber, contact their past customers if you're able to. These people can be a wealth of information if you ask them the right questions. Pose the following queries to these former patrons when you get the chance:
  • Were you pleased with the work done?
  • Was the project completed on time?
  • Did the plumber give you a written warranty and guarantee his or her work?
  • Were there any unexpected costs that arose?
  • Would you hire this plumber again? If not, why?
A permit provides added assurance that the work is done correctly. Having this in place means an inspector will check the work your contractor or plumber does to ensure he or she did the job correctly. If you plan on putting your house or commercial building on the market, a real estate agent and prospective buyers will want to check any large work you did to make sure it was done properly.
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
