All PRO Contracting and Repairs
I strongly recommend Allpro Contracting (owned by Peter) for all of your home improvement needs! We've worked with Peter since 2006 (in three different homes) on various home improvement projects (e.g., replacing glass block windows, re-tiling showers, kitchen backsplash install, porcelain floor install, painting, wood rot repairs, etc). He and his team do excellent work! We've learned our lesson by hiring a different contractor, and the service and results were terrible! Peter provides competitive estimates and always ensures your 100% satisfaction. His team is always on time, professional, and does quality work. Go with Allpro

Volkema Enterprises
These guys are FAST, Professional, Knowledgeable and Honest. On top of all that, their quality of workmanship (even from the sub-contractors they hire-in) is always excellent. Ask for Dwayne or Eliot, really just great guys! They took the time to not only get to know our house/structure/strong+weak points but also get to know us and our vision for what we want to see & they listen then make it happen! You can see before/after from their past projects on FB @ https://www.facebook.com/pages/VE-Builders-LLC/1424410094479721?fref=ts

Water Damage Orlando Fl
We were very happy with the Water Damage Orlando Fl service provided after a fairly major basement flood. The customer support called us back within a few minutes of our call (before 4am!). He was very reassuring and knowledgeable which helped ease the panic. Work was done quickly, efficiently and very professionally. The team was fantastic and we are very confident of the results. Thank you very much for helping us out of a very wet situation!

Hog Wild Construction Services
I called Hog Wild Construction to get a quote to replace some wood on the side of my house near the roof. I can't explain how professional and caring Steveo was. The prices are extremely reasonable and I would highly recommend this company to everyone. I am extremely pleased with the work and will be using this company again in the future for any repairs I need done. You definitely can't go wrong using Hog Wild Construction.

I called Miguel the Handyman at the last minute because I had a leak in my bathroom that would not cease. He got to my home in 20 minutes and quickly figured out what the problem was and in less than hour he had us back up and running again. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for having a nearby handyman as professional and as capable as Miguel. Oh and his total price was a pleasant surprise to me! :)

Water Damage Orlando Fl
I had the pleasure of referring Water Damage Orlando Fl to one of my very best clients and I'm happy to report they did an exceptional job. The technician was very professional, on time and did not attempt to up-sell my client with unwanted extras. I will continue to refer any of my clients that are in need of a professional restoration company, thanks again for a job well done.

Water Damage Orlando Fl
Thank you very much for all of your efforts to help us during our time of need. The Water Damage technician came out to help clean up our recently flooded basement. He was prompt and did a very effective job of removing the water and sanitizing our basement. Hopefully, I won’t need these kinds of services in the future. But if I do, I will call Water Damage Orlando Fl again.

A Katara house is a nice product but Katara's follow-up as a builder is horrendous. We were left to deal with out-of-code construction, open permits and repairs that lingered on for almost a year. I wouldn't want to buy a NEW Katara home again. The first owner has to work out all the kinks and will be extremely frustrated by the lack of support from Katara.

A to Z Construction and Handy Man Service
Our handyman, Tony, arrived right on time. He did a great job putting in a couple of closet doors and a new shower door. Unlike some contractors that we have used in the past, he cleaned up the work area very well. There were no surprises on price. The project cost exactly what they said that is would. We will use A to Z's handyman services again.
Tips & Advices
If there is ever a dispute regarding payment over the course of the project, a contractor or subcontractor could place a payment claim, or lien, on your property. To avoid this, ask the contractor to sign a lien release, which is a legal agreement that states that any payment accepted is final. This can come in handy if a contractor has his or her own payment issues with their subcontractors. Signing a lien release form certifies that any payment made by a client to the contractor is enough to pay for any goods or services rendered.
Absolutely ask. Paying too much up front offers the homeowner minimal leverage if the quality of work does not meet expectations or contractual specifications. Try to establish a reasonable pay schedule, such as paying 10 percent of the total cost for each 10 percent of the work that is completed. Include this payment plan in the contract, as well.
Before any money changes hands, there should be a contract to sign. Make sure the specifics of the work and all costs are listed in the contract, including details. If you forget to have something included in the contract after signing it, there's rarely a chance of recourse.
Ask the contractor for proof of their certification before signing anything, as well as their proof of insurance. You should also check your homeowners insurance policy to see if they offer coverage for contracted work. You may want to call your insurance provider and ask for more details on what your plan will and won't cover.
Yes. Plans for how the work site will be cleaned at the end of each day as well as at the conclusion of work need to be put in writing. An experienced general contractor should make every effort to keep the workspace clean and prevent dirtying or damaging any other area. Even so, talk with the contractor about the daily schedule, the logistics of transporting workers and equipment, and how cleanup will be handled.
