Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting
well I must say, there's only 3 maaco auto body shops in town, and I called all 3 places, the one on 72nd. & in council bluffs, was really rude to talk to,at times I thought I was in the twilight zone,I mean i couldn't believe how unprofessional they were,...but there was light at the end of the tunnel, the one on 84th Street was the best one, customer service was a lil more pleasant, and I only paid half of what everybody else wanted to charge me for fixing my car, anyway I had to wait a week & a 1/2 for my vehicle to get done, worth the wait tho, they did a great job on fixing the large dent on the side of my car, they said they can only fix 80% of the damage, but what I saw, it looked almost like a 100%,it looked almost brand new, they even polished off most of the scuff marks that was on the truck, they also shined my tire up &,that's not even part of the body!!,the only thing I didn't like was, after they got done fixing my truck,I noticed a couple of Brown sand like dirt stains that was hard to scrape off with my fingernail when I tried!!,but I'm sure it will come off with a lil elbow grease, just hope I don't scratch the paint trying to get off tho!!,overall I was impressed by the work they did to fix that dent.

Gil's Auto Sales
When buying a used car there is a lot of room for con artists to make a quick profit like Budget Auto Sales of Carter Lake Iowa. However when I went to Gil’s Auto Sales I was quite impressed. The Good:The staff maintain a professional appearance and seem to really care how their customers are treated and spoken to. The GM of the company, Darren, was the man who assisted me today with the purchase of my vehicle. I very much liked the no pressure sales approach. However, I took a mechanic to test drive the vehicles before I made any decision. The Bad:We test drove three vehicles. Car 1 had a power steering issue and the seatbelt trapped the mechanic into the seat and we decided against it. Car 2 tested perfectly and Car 3 had extreme break issues (like wouldn’t stop break issues!). My budget was 2500 dollars. In this bracket you are going to find a lot of rough cars. It’s just a fact. Take someone you trust who knows cars and test drive the vehicles extensively before signing any agreement. This is common knowledge when approaching a used car lot. Overall I'd give it 4 Stars because of the car issues on some of the vehicles but 5 Stars in service.

Dingman's Collision CTR
I have used Dingman's a couple of times in the last year. Their service and workmanship are OUTSTANDING. When I was involved in a hit and run accident, they were friendly, helpful, and fast. They coordinated getting my rental car delivered to the midtown location so I could do everything in one stop. They were fast, and when I got my car back, it looked like nothing had happened to it. (and the damage that they fixed was not minor). Today I took it over because I had accidentally side-swiped an object and had a scuff on my right front fender. I was not sure if it could be buffed out or if I would need to file an insurance claim to have it repaired. They agreed to look at it right then. (I was prepared to make an appointment). They then took my car in the back, and buffed off the scuff and you can't tell anything happened! Even better, they didn't charge me a penny to do this. They just did it because they are a good business. I can't recommend them enough. It's no wonder that they are consistently voted the "best in Omaha".

Mobile Auto Truck Repair Omaha
Brent did a great repair job for my work vans. i have used his mobile auto service two times. First time there was oil leakage problem in my van. The mechanic shop asked me to fix it for $354. I bought the part and took it to brent. He tried to put it inside the van but the part didnt fit. He cleaned the original part and put it back. The oil leakage was gone :) only $30. I returned the unused part! So i saved $324!!! The second time my other van didnt start and i called brent. He came and checked it for 10-15 minutes. He found out that there is electrical problem and it will cost way much to fix it. He asked me bring him a cable and he made connection with battery and other part. Dang the van started and i am still using it. He charged $60 but saved me another $300-400! I will definitely suggest Brent mobile mechanic auto car van truck repair service to anyone!

Dingman's Collision CTR
Had a GREAT Experience with Dingman's. My wife's van got hit so we got a rental. Due to work schedules we could only get the rental and drop off my wife's van close to closing time for both places so I went to the rental place and my wife went to Dingman's.It took me longer than expected but imagine my surprise when I pulled up to find my wife and my boys talking with guy who gave us the estimate!! The shop was closed but he chose to hang around until I got there just to ensure they were comfortable and safe. Then, to top it off, our van was done in less time than expected and looks GREAT!! They even washed it and vacuumed it out. No small task considering the two young boys who live in the back! Thanks to Dingman's we'll be keeping the van a while longer.

Select Auto
I was searching the web for a cargo van. I finally found one with the mileage, options and price that I wanted at Select Auto. Since I live just west of Kansas City, I had to set up the deal over the phone. These guys were easy to deal with. I emailed them the pictures of my trade and they gave me a reasonable offer right over the phone. I called my bank and had my financing already set up so when I made the 3 hour drive to Omaha the transaction was quick and easy. I spent more time talking to Ray about muscle cars than we did actually making the deal. I will definitely keep them in mind the next time I'm looking for a used car. Be sure to check out the antique cars in their showroom.

Rebuilders Auto
I cannot say enough good things about these guys. They've helped me pick out a car when I was car shopping to make sure I got the best car for the best price, steered me away from models that were known to have various problems. I trust them COMPLETELY. I made sure that when my daughter got her first car that she knew to ONLY bring it to Rebuilders if she had any trouble because they're the only place in Omaha I know I can trust. Nothing but good experiences with them. I noticed a bad review on here before I posted - honestly I don't even believe it because they've just done too much work for me & my friends & family to where I know the kind of work they do.

Zaxon Auto Parts
I got a call from Zack Brown last year in September to confirm whether I was looking for a motor for my PT Cruiser to which i affirmed , he took a few minutes to explain to me what they do and that they sell used parts with a 30 day standard warranty, free shipping and a 10% discount for an existing customer.I reluctantly decided to buy the motor and it was delivered within 7 days from the day I order. My mechanic verified that it was the correct motor with the miles range that Zack had promised. I am happy with Zaxon Auto parts and I am recommending it to my friends and family, the motor has no issues and is running smoothly

JD Byrider
When I came to JD Byrider, I was all out of choices n frustrated. Before I got to the door, a sales associate greeted me and instantly made me feel welcome. I told him this was my last resort, and if they couldn't help me get an affordable car, then I wasn't coming in. He assured me that he would get me in a car with affordable payments. Long story short, he kept his word and delivered. I left out with a card. JD Byrider helped me get plates for the car, free oil changes AND a 3yr/36,000 mile warranty on just about everything. I have referred many ppl to them and will not stop. Thanks JD Byrider. You rock!!!

Bauer Built Tire
I am a manager of a very large nation wide Lawn Service company. I depend on great tires and great customer service. I moved to Omaha NE. from Kanasas City, MO. last year. I have had a great experience with their entire staff at Bauer Built here in Omaha. When I call they are always on time and quick to get out to service calls or roadside calls. Their monthly checks on my fleet are emailed to me and set up color coded. It has been impressive dealing with everyone there. I would recommend them to anyone.
Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
