With safety on the minds of all residents, we appreciate the current photo of our maintenance staff that appeared in the monthly "Ripples" news letter. Dan & Helen Moffett
This was by far the worst rental experience I have ever had. I lived in a loft for 3 years, and initially really liked my unit. However, from the beginning the toilet did not work properly. I reported it about a dozen times in the 3 years I lived there, and almost every time I did, maintenance staff would claim nothing was wrong. This became a running theme during my stay: Report an issue, maintenance claims nothing is wrong, report several more times before issue is resolved. Last summer both my girlfriend's and my car were broken into. When I asked Eden West what they were doing to improve security, their only response was that they wanted a police report. They refused to answer, nor did it appear, there were doing anything to make the complex safer. I just moved out at the end of March 2017, and never received my security deposit or a statement in the 2 week window mandated by NE state law. When I contacted Eden West about this, they emailed me a bill for 3 times my security deposit, claiming I am responsible for the carpet being replaced etc. When I asked for proof that the carpet was new when I moved in, and other proof that needs to be furnished to someone when charging them like this, they refused to send me anything, and sent my account to a collections agency. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
Low cost facility that offers no frills. Old buildings with maintenance that does not resolve reported issues. Main entrance door that has a defective lock that has left me locked out of building 4 times in the last year. Door lock usually fixed within a couple of days. Homeless living in garages by removing the siding and moving in. Car break in and theft frequent and common. Drugs being sold and used in plain site resulting in an ever changing stream of people visiting your building to participate. On the plus side they did replace the carpet in the main hallway and my lease is up. Unless you enjoy hearing your neighbors every word/sound, being unable to gain access to your building periodically, having non-resident people hanging around outside your apartment all night making noise, having your car broken into on a regular basis and fixing most of the problems with your apartment yourself..... you may want to look elsewhere.
Poster on behalf of Rhonda..."this apartment complex has improved since they changed management"
This place has a huge bed bug problem. The of course won't tell you that. They get you to sign the lease and let you find the bug problem which is extremely unpleasant. If you don't know much about bed bugs please educate yourself. It has cost us large amounts of money, time, and stress.
This is ridiculous!!! They CHEATED on us! We gave verbal notice for moving out to the property manager 5 months ahead of time and she said "OK". When we returned our keys, the property manager said she NEVER receive any notification and TOOK all of our deposit... In addition, she will try to screw you more by charging you for "damages" in your apartment. BE AWARED!!! They will try their best to TAKE AWAY ALL YOUR DEPOSIT!!! They are such a LIAR!!
This community is very quiet and well kept. Management is respectful and prompt to resolve any issues. The only thing I don't like is getting in and out of the apartment complex. We are very happy in our home!
I like the size and location of my apartment. Most of my neighbors are quiet and considerate. My grandchildren think it's cool having 2 pools!
great apartment layout.nLocation nStaff is very helpful and friendlynBig dogs allowed to live here!
I currently live here. I can't speak for the new manager, but the new management in general is terrible. If they were to bring back the old manager and assistant manager then I would consider renewing my lease when it is up. The old management had personable people who knew how to properly handle situations and I never once had any of them give me attitude or talk to me so rudely. I've had a few talks with the assistant manager, and I will leave names out of this, but I've never seen any kind management be so terrible at handling customer complaints. I have talked to her in particular multiple times about various complaints, like the dryer not working in our building and our hallways smelling like weed. And I've been talked back to, told there is nothing they will do for me, treated like I don't matter, and told in the most rude ways that they will post notes about problems or get them fixed promptly. I have seen none of the things done that I've been told would be, and I've been treated with disrespect by an assistant manager that could not have handled a frustrated resident any worse if she had tried! This changing of management in our leasing office is probably the worst decision that this new company that owns Pacific Winds has ever made. They may have taken on a lot with this apartment complex and the problems it has been facing, but if there are people running this place now like the assistant manager, then they can make all the changes they want to this apartment complex and still have people wanting to move out. You work in a leasing office. People are going to come in with complaints. And if you are not a people person and you can't handle complaints without being offensively impolite and discourteous, then you need to quit. If the assistant manager handles customer complaints so poorly, I can't imagine how they actually are running things here now and the kind of people they are hiring. When I moved in, I would've given this place a 5 star rating based on the staff alone because they were so great. Now I wish I could give it a 0 star rating.
