Paul The Plumber
I am so glad that I didn't call one of the big plumbing companies in the area. From the minute that I spoke to Tracy (sp?) at the office, I knew that I made the right choice. She is friendly and patient! Paul is polite, professional and personable! He was kind and patient enough to answer all my questions and explain what he was doing - and I asked a lot of questions! I had called because the faucet in the kitchen started to spew water everywhere from the base and I had to resort to temporarily doing the dishes in the bathroom sink! The faucet explosion happened on a Sunday night and, since it wasn't an emergency, I called on Monday morning and was able to get an appointment that afternoon. Paul is the owner *and* he is the one that comes out to personally to fix the problems. He is a super hard worker and, although he must have been exhausted from a long day of calls, he did a fantastic job and the kitchen sink was back to working perfectly! The pricing was very reasonable and the customer service was impeccable. I fully recommend Paul the Plumber to everyone. If any other plumbing goes awry in my house, I will definitely call Paul again!

My friend told me about this company and that they did a great job for her and that they were local and have been around Omaha for a long time. So we called them and the owner came out to give us the estimate. He gave us the best deal with the upgraded best class 4 hail resistant shingles and a lifetime labor and material warranty to boot. After the storm there were so many fly by nights and pop up roofers at our door that we were really worried about selecting the right company. But we made the right choice and it turned out beautiful. I might add that the owner was also on hand to supervise the crew. And it was a good clean up too. This is a good company to call.

Aspen Contracting, Inc.
I have worked for Aspen Contracting for a total of seven years since 2006. I have been in the storm restoration business for more than 16 years and I could work for almost any company out there. I choose to work for Aspen, it is a family owned company and they care about their customers. They have embraced technology and use it in all aspects of their business. They are extremely fair to their employees and that reflects outwards to how their customers are treated. I would encourage anyone needing help with their roofing, siding or gutter repairs to use Aspen Contracting, Ins.

Paul The Plumber
We had a excellent experience. He was very friendly, as well as knowledgeable. We have an old house and that had a lot of challenges. He stayed within budget, helped us bridge the gap in our knowledge, and handled tough barriers related to our old house like maintaining our tile, dealing with old pipes, and taking new challenges as they came. Cannot rate him higher, but I would for his integrity. He is very accessible as a person, reasonable in price, and I felt that we got a great service for great prices.

This company is amazing; from the person working the phones to the person/people knocking on your door! Professional, fast, kind, and reasonable!!! I felt guilty having them in my house as everyone here was on the mend (didn't want them to get sick)...but they took it in stride. Will use them again and again (no joke as I live in an 80 year old house)!!! Highly recommend!!! My experience with them was the best thing that happened to me all week (yeah, pathetic week...but they were awesome just the same!)!

United Services Of America
In short, systematic failures in communication. I could write out a novella of what happened on what date and the amount of time that elapsed before I finally had enough and initiated contact to see what the story was with our storm damage repairs. After my insurance company could not get a hold of them I promised an honest review based on my experience going forward. United Services failed and I will not be using them again. Edit: I have since spoken with the owner and upgraded the rating.

Everlast Exteriors
I had the company install seamless gutters and re-frame my patio door. They did an great job and it was very affordable. They do great work and they stand behind all of their work which is rare for most contractors. The owner promptly comes to do the estimates for work and gets everything done on schedule. He is also friendly and very helpful at answering any questions. He also makes sure everything is done right. I would recommend them to everyone that needs any exterior work.

Wozniak Inc
In many years of dealing with paint companys, I have found one that is interested in what my needs were and my price range, It was one of the best experiences I have had dealing with a company in 22 years. I have dealt with alot of companys and I would consider this to be one of the best. Not only did he complete the job on time and on budget but exceeded my expections of the paint job itself. I would only say if you want a company that cares this is the one...

Lastime Roofing
I replaced my shake roof with Lastime's steel barrel vault roof and it was probably the single best choice we've ever made for our home. Tony was extremely helpful and easy to contact. The roof they put on is a work of art. It improved every aspect of our home, appearance, function, durability and insulation. We simply love our new roof. Bravo to Lastime. They put on one superb roof.Kind regards, Steve and Cindy Forehead, Omaha, NE
Tips & Advices
The most common types of roofing material are:
  • Asphalt shingles
  • Metal roofing
  • Slate shingles
  • Concrete roofing
Metal roofing material and algae-resistant asphalt shingles are the appropriate roofing material for rainy climates.
Houses located in  areas which are prone to wildfires, should avoid the use of flammable roofing materials such as wood shingles.
Not only should you ask to get in contact with past clients, it is also recommended that  homeowners visit projects currently underway to see how the contractor or company actually performs during a job. You can also go online and check out other customer reviews.
Reputable roofers do offer a warranty against poor workmanship. Additionally, the material used often carries a warranty from the manufacturer against defects (assuming proper installation). It is the homeowner’s responsibility to check on the availability of all such warranties before any work is performed.
