Thurston Dental
I've had what I thought was a good dentist before, but Thurston Dental is the best by a HUGE margin! They don't just provide superb quality, high-tech dental work; they also treat you like an equal person whose opinion, time, understanding, and comfort matters. I've had an exam, cleaning, several fillings, and a chip repair here in the past few months (it would've taken that long to get a single appointment at my last dentist); none of the procedures hurt (or were even unpleasant), all felt very personalized, and my teeth look and feel better than they have since they were brand new! I also really like that it's a reasonably sized office where the dentist himself sees you each time you come in, and not a giant, over-staffed, factory-feeling facility. I've never been to any dental or medical office where I felt as well informed, honestly listened to, comfortable (even jovial), and included in every process as I do at Thurston Dental. ^.^

Family Dentistry At Hawks Prairie
Dr. O'Leary and her team are dedicated to each and every patient! As a team, they are strongly committed to educate, motivate, encourage and inspire their patients to become actively involved in preventive dentistry. When repair is necessary they provide that service with care and comfort. They are committed to the highest quality dental services, and their recommendations for treatment are based on sound judgment, not on what dental plans may "allow".My family and I have been going to Family Dentistry At Hawks Prairie & Dr. O'Leary for several years. When anyone ever ask us where we go for dental care we tell them and we always follow it with, "and we LOVE it there!" There's not too many dentist offices you may say that about. But I guarantee, if you give them a try, you will be saying it too!~Bridget C*See their Yelp review or Facebook page for my full review.

Bright Now! Dental
I went to this dentist on an emergency basis and was seen right away. My dentist put me off for an entire month. I was treated with respect and smiles the whole way through. The dentist was gentle and genially caring how I was tolerating the work. I had a temporary crown worked/placed and it was and excellent job. So< I went from a hurtful two hoes in a molar needing a crown and painful to a temp crown: Highly recommend this place!! Excellent, professional, caring, and affordable: will work with you

I have been to 2 different dentists in Olympia and Dr Cooper is by far my favourite. I will not going anywhere else but Cooper Moss Advanced Dentistry

Olympia Smiles
I love this place. I have a huge fear of dentists. The staff, and even Dr. Lingam are super amazing and make sure I have no pain to help try and alleviate my fears. They communicate very well about what they are doing, and what is best for you. I couldn't ask for a better place.

Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
