Trails At Rockwell
Blatant Buffoonery at its BestI had planned to rent the larger (still small) one bedroom. pros: its cute and pretty new, areas of play for adults and children cons: cheaply built, deceptive management and agents, NO STORAGE (not even an entry closet), no balcony or patio, no gateThis is not such a bad complex if you are a student or you’re not the type to be fussy about quality. The price is low and there are many “cutesy” features that I’m sure would be great for many people. However, as a working professional, this is NOT the place for me. The first red flag was one of the staff members warning me that, “It would be best to put your deposit on a credit card so that it can be refunded quickly in the event anything were to happen.” I was drawn in to Lindsey Management by the low price of their units. I was also excited by the fact that I would be living in a brand new apartment community (or so I thought). I spoke with several members of the Trails at Rockwell staff and asked many questions. Most (about 90%) of my questions were answered with “I don’t know.” The staff was inadequately trained to handle even the most basic questions about their own community. Even a new apartment complex should understand the basic questions that renter’s ask and be prepared with a professional answer (even if they cannot at the time provide specifics). Amanda in particular seemed to be especially ignorant. When speaking with her I received the standard, “I don’t know” to outlandish, bizarre, and asinine lies. I signed my application over six months before my scheduled move in date. Since I could tell that the organization in the management office was woefully lacking, I called periodically (about every 2 months) to check on the progress. I was told by Amanda that I had been assigned a building, but I could not be given the number to the building or the apartment number because the building had not been built yet! Of course that was an outrageous lie. One month before my move in date Amanda (why I so often got stuck with her service I’ll never know) told me that I still could not be given a building number or unit number and that I would have to call two weeks before my move date. I specifically asked her if my desire to move in about 10 days before the end of the month would be a problem. I gave her a specific date, and she reassured me that I would have no trouble at all. I was called THREE WEEKS before my scheduled move in date and was advised that my apartment was ready. I stated my previously agreed upon move in date, and the representative (not Amanda) stated that they could only hold the apartment for FIVE DAYS!! I told her I could not move that quickly. She said that I would be moved to the next priority on the waiting list and would be called when a unit became available. I went to the office three days later to ask about my moving situation. I was told (by Amanda) that “I DECIDED” to relinquish the apartment that they assigned to me, and I would now have to wait for an opening. She went on to advise me that they did have one unit available, but they could only hold it for ONE DAY (yes, from 5 to 1). This was a used unit, and to be frank, these apartments are far too poor in quality (and far too small) for any used unit to have ANY appeal. I went above her to speak with the manager, Megan, who gave me a song and dance about how I just happened to call them right before they were filled to capacity which is why it SEEMS that I have been given different procedures each time I spoke to them. She then proceeded to tell me that they in actuality can hold apartments for THREE DAYS. Then she promptly asked me if I would like to get my deposit back (I will exclude my obvious conclusions regarding this interaction). This was a blessing in disguise as I am now in a professionally run complex with a unit that far surpasses what I would have been stuck with at The Trails.

We have lived here for two years. We've never really had a problem with the apartment itself, however, the "extra" amenities have always been lacking (the weight room has had broken equipment since we moved in two years ago, some of it dangerous). But recently after the management changed recently, things have really gone downhill. The pool is full of algae, there are HUGE potholes that could do damage to cars they keep saying they are going to fix but we're still waiting. And there are broken tiles next to the pool that my son has cut his foot on. We recently signed a new lease. And I certainly hope that bringing these issues to light on a public forum can elicit some changes, as talking with management multiple times doesn't seem to help. I don't want to cause a stir, I just want to make our environment safe and enjoyable for ourselves and for our neighbors. I believe we pay well for this.

Walker's Station Apartments
Our carpets hardly have any fibers left. Upon going on a year, the person who lives next door, pipe burst and it caused flooding in our Apt. I was visiting my husband in the Hospital and when I came home; the plumber for the Apartments, left my front door wide open and he was out in the parking lot with no one watching my Apt. I was sooo upset because someone could have walked in and taken something of ours or stolen our private mail that I keep on my desk. Flies, gnats and insects coming in, you can imagine how upset I was. The landlord Sarah does try to keep you happy, though. She has done maintenance for us to our satisfaction. The receptionist Sarah, is very kind and understanding to us. When we moved in, there were 3 or 4 maintenance men, now there is only two, so work orders are not done quickly. Maybe because there are 223 units here so you have a wait a few days at least.

So, I don't know what the other person is talking about.. i love these apartments. Not going to lie, they are a little higher priced, but worth it. Oh, and oh so quiet! Since they replaced the male leasing agent, we've had absolutely no problems. Stacey is an absolute joy and hard-working. We've never had a problem with her or the apartments. Anytime something goes wrong, our maitenance men are here in like 5 minutes... that's overnight as well. We definitely don't have roaches either. Pest control is not meant to be sprayed everywhere. It's VERY strong. I'm happy they use pest control period. We plan on staying here for another year or 2 until we buy our house or move out of state. I will post this on every site if I have to. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE.

Cottages at Hefner Road
This is by far the best place I have lived for the price that I pay. I have lived in a variety of apartments throughout okc and moore. I have paid anywhere from 600 to 1000 from everything that my apartment has. This has been the nicest for what I pay. I love living here at the cottages. Because of the newly remolded apartments its nice to actually have grantie counter tops, wood floors and all matching appliances. Anytime I have had any issues maintenance responds quickly . I love going into the office because they are always friendly with smiles on their face ready to help and sometimes have refreshments while your waiting. I enjoy all the resident events that they do its glad to know I am appreciated as a resident.

Our overall experience at The Cottages has been great. We have a wonderful relationship with the ladies in the office and the maintenance team. Everyone who has ever worked here has been nothing but kind to us. Any issues that we have ever had were addressed in a timely manner. The group in the office is great with our 7 year old son. He spends lots of time with them. We will moving at the end of this lease due to leaving the area, but we will miss our apartment and the people here horribly!

I was out of the state while my roommates and I were trying to finalize everything for our apartment and James was incredibly helpful and patient working with me to make sure that I knew exactly what to do and that everything was done correctly. He was very efficient and was willing to do whatever he could to help make the process easier for me. Thank you!!! I'm looking forward to moving in!

We moved in back in May and haven't had any issues! For the most part it is very quiet and I do actually feel safe despite what others might say about the area. I love the granite countertops, wood flooring and the black appliances. Also, the staff is very friendly and always helps and or listens when I have a question or concern, sally and jasmine are awesome! I would definitely recommend.

Just a moment...
