Pro Electric
So we are diyer's with no idea about electric, so in the midst of our kitchen we called Pro Electric for advice. They can out, explained to us all the quirks of our older home and could give us a history of work that has been done over the years based on looking at the wiring. Michael showed us what to do and even walked our home to point a couple of things out. The first thing was our panel was Federal Pacific, which he told us was a fire hazard, the second was that the pole on our roof was creating a leak and needed to be returned to its original placement. When he left it was like we had taken a whole course in electrical, we felt comfortable with the small jobs and were able to determine what was too big for us. The price was very reasonable and we set up an appointment for his suggested improvements. After he left, we wanted to verify everything he told us, especially before paying for such a large improvement. Our google search confirmed everything he said about our panel and pole and the price quoted was extremely fair. So if this review isn't updated you can assume they can, they worked and the service is still five stars.

Country Appliances
The Problem:I purchased a very nice refrigerator with some very small (almost unnoticeable blemishes), everything worked while it was in the store, and I was told I have a 90 day policy. After delivery and set up, the freezer was not cooling and both ice makers stopped working and then they brought a loaner and took my refrigerator to repair. The Ugly:When you call the store for updates on your item being repaired, they are back and forth, whoever answers gives whatever knowledge they may have off the top of their head, inconsistent information, poor customer service, poor communication, no ability to schedule pick/drop off effeciently. The Good:They do follow up, they back their product, Tobey ( the daughter) is very nice, follows up, does her best, and it seems like they are making an effort to have some customer service. Follow up on Previous Review:To the person with the roaches - For all the horrified reviewers, I did not have any problems with bugs of any type.

All City Electric
Owner came out to do inspection of breaker box when I was selling home . Determined electric panel needed replacement. The damage was extensive and obvious to even me. In fact, had the buyer not requested the inspection, would have never known my home could have caught fire. Home insurance denied my claim because guy they sent out said damage from lightning and not covered. Wrote out estimate for replacement that was double that from City Electric. Needless to say, had panel replaced by City Electric, which did the repair within two days of my call and performed total home inspection of every outlet, appliance and electrical system. Also wrote letter to my insurer to help me appeal its denial as City Electric did not agree that damage was due to lightning. This company did excellent work at a reasonable price promptly and professionally and went out of its way in helping me deal with my insurer. Highly recommend. Patty

Metro Appliance Repair
I'll be the first to admit, I am terrible with any sort of home repair!. I was visiting a friend the other week and we ran into quite the predicament. When we got back from a night out we discovered that her refrigerator had just stopped working. We checked to see if it was plugged in but that was the extent of what we knew to do. A quick search for 24 hour repairmen led us to Metro Appliance Repair. We were able to get service within the hour, regardless of it being after hours. The guy helping us was very informative and took the time to explain what was wrong in terms that we understood. Long story short, our issues was resolved swiftly and professionally. I felt that the customer service was great each step of the way. Pricing was fair and I felt confident knowing that we weren't being swindled out of money just because we were knowledgeable. Would recommend 10/10!

Metro Appliance Repair
I called Metro Appliance with issues with my Sub Zero refrigerator. They promptly sent out a technician, Lynn Smereck. Lynn was EXTREMELY helpful in helping me decide the pros and cons of proceeding with the repairs to this unit. I felt very comfortable with Lynn's assessment, the cost of repairs, and I was VERY impressed with Lynn's knowledge, professionalism, and workmanship. Lynn's attitude was refreshing; often a repairman is just there to "fix" something. However, I can tell that Lynn enjoys his work. I would highly recommend Metro Appliance to anyone in need of an honest quote, dependable service, and professional repairs. I can truly say that I have found the only appliance repair service company that I will ever call again! THANKS LYNN SMERECK AND METRO APPLIANCE!John HNorman

Metro Appliance Repair
Metro Appliances Repair saved me money and a huge headache! I was on my way out of town for my anniversary. The kids were going to be left at home alone for the weekend. Wouldn't you know it, my refrigerator goes out. Of course this happens right after buying a week's worth of groceries and enough food to satisfy two growing teenagers and not to mention the friends that just "happen to stop by". I called Metro Appliances Repair and crossed my fingers.....but when they say "Its The Service After The Repair That Counts", they mean every word. Not only did they repair my refrigerator, but called during the weekend to make sure it was doing good. Now this is the type of customer service that you want to experience when spending your hard earned money. Thanks, Metro Appliance Repair!!!

Dave's Appliance Repair
A+ Cool guy, does his own work (Dave). $25 for a service call, a lot of guys are between $50-$80. Fortunately I had a quick fix, he didn't even charge me extra (even tho he was entitled to). He did tell me that he tries not to give people a set time of arrival "I'll let you know when I'm on my way though". Which makes sense in a repair industry. Lucky us he said he would be here in ten minutes (and he was). Gets the customer involved. I new exactly what he was doing. He only fixed the issue that mattered, and told me what to do if I had any other problems occur. Some guys just come in and do some mystery work and leave u a bill for stuff you didn't ask for. PS: I'm not Dave nor do I work for him. ===>> @franksisrandom

Metro Appliance Repair
Just recently, I had a malfunction with my washer. I was incredibly worried that I'd have to toss it and get a new one. A close friend of mine referred me to Metro Appliance Repair, and I'm so thankful that I gave them a call. Most companies just do the minimum to get it fixed, but their specialist went above and beyond, not only fixing my dryer but explaining what had caused the malfunction and what I needed to keep an eye on. It's a rarity to come across businesses with this great of customer service. If I run into any problems with other appliances, they'll be the first to call! I highly recommend this brand, their many years of service shows through their knowledge and quality of work.

Metro Appliance Repair
I been dealing with minor problems problems for the last year and I finally got sick and tired of it. Firstly, my dishwasher smelled after a wash cycle some times and stopped working with the Heated Dry setting. I know its nothing major but it sucks to have an appliance and not want to it. My side by side fridge was making a long sort of sucking noise every time we bought home groceries and had the door open I little longer than usually. I saw the good reviews for Metro Appliance Repair and called them the next day. They arrived at the schedule time and knocked out the work in a few hours. Very professional and clean. Awesome Service. 5-Stars.
Tips & Advices
If the washing machine is overloaded or all the clothes are packed to one side, the imbalance can cause the washing machine to jerk and shake. These vibrations can be violent enough to slam the machine against other objects, possibly causing damage to its exterior.
Refrigerator coils should be cleaned at least twice a year. Households with pets should clean their refrigerator coils more frequently.
To reduce the risk of foodborne illnesses, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommends homeowners set their refrigerators at or below 40 degrees Fahrenheit and their freezers at 0 degrees Fahrenheit.
In terms of operations and upkeep, gas dryers are less expensive than electric. The actual savings depends on the cost of gas vs. electricity in the area. Still, gas dryers heat up faster than electric ones do, making them slightly more energy efficient. However, gas dryers are priced higher than electric ones, so homeowners should prepare to pay more at the outset.
Proper maintenance helps most home appliances last longer. Homeowner's should check their user's manuals for insight on how often to inspect, clean or upgrade their appliances.
