Community Hospital
I find this hospital to be one of the best I've been through in the last 20 years after having three accidents really killed me because people were texting and not paying attention to the driving I've had to use many hospitals from large to small paperwork it is horrendous no matter what hospital you go to I find out what my mom said about me about paperwork is ludicrous just tell him you don't want to take it home with you because the same wherever you go no matter what you are in for outpatient or inpatient they all have to have insurance paperwork and if you don't have insurance will take you anyway the caring of the staff is .superndand that of the doctors is the same I've never met one there that didn't have a smile on your face when I came in to talk to you or you weren't caring enough to say it will be better I find this hospital be one of the best state

Ocom North
I have been around for awhile, so I have had the privilege to experience many hospitals. Also I had the opportunity to volunteer for ten years in pre-op/post-op at Community Hospital in Indianapolis.April 19th I had hand surgery at Ocom North.I have never encountered a more friendly and smiling staff than at your hospital and doctor office's. It sure helps the patient's comfort and relaxation level! Dr Avant has that very professional and competent presentation the is so needed in the medical field. Thank you very much. You facilities are right up there at the top being clean, well lighted and patient orientated. Dr Ried, my anesthesiologist, is also in the same category of excellent competence and patient care. Thank you to all the staff. If it is at all possible to, well not really enjoy, but have a good hospital experience, that is what I had.

Community Hospital
I had a partial shoulder replacement in Apr 2015. I have had 5 other surgeries each in a different hospital. I was treated as if I was in a 5 star hotel. The doctors along with the staff were very courteous and attentive to my needs. I never once felt as if I was just a number, nor a burden as in a couple other hospitals I have been too. Thank you thank you for actually listening to me before and after my surgery!!! I was immediately made feel comfortable from the beginning. Insurance paperwork was minimal. I cannot say enough on how great my stay was there. Just the up most caring hospital I have been to! Thank you for a wonderful stay and the individual care I received along with the courteous manner you also treated my visitors with!

Select Specialty Hospital
I'm writing this review for my mother. My Aunt is the patient. My mother would like to share that my Aunt has received excellent care from Doctors, Nurses, Physical Therapists even down to the food she wanted. All she had to do was make a request and her needs were met. This review is being written due to negative reviews my mother read prior to visiting the hospital, she was concerned for my Aunt's level of care due to her being in such frail health. My mother wanted to let others know that the hospital staff were professional, friendly and efficient. She states that if she needed personal health care she would not have any issues going to this hospital. My mother is a retired nurse and has faith that my Aunt could not be in a better place.

Oklahoma Spine Hospital
When searching for a hospital and surgeon to perform back or neck surgery, people have very mixed results. Finding the right combination is a very serious decision. My husband had neck surgery at the Oklahoma Spine Hospital with Dr. Robert Tibbs. He received excellent care from Dr. Tibbs and from the entire staff at Oklahoma Spine Hospital. Check in was quick and easy. The results from surgery were excellent and the care received from the nursing staff was top notch! Everyone was friendly, kind, and very knowledgeable about my husband's procedure. It was comforting to know that everyone at the Oklahoma Spine Hospital is trained in surgery of the spine. We are very thankful we chose Dr. Tibbs and the Oklahoma Spine Hospital.

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Oklahoma City
To start off the therapy staff here is amazing and very encouraging! If you are looking for a place where you are needing assistance in anything other than rehab therapy look else where. Nursing staff was never around, took forever to answer call lights, nurse techs come to rooms once a shift!! If you have all day to spend at the facility looking after your loved ones then this place should work! The excuse that we are understaffed was used multiple times during our stay! I'm sorry but that isn not my loved ones fault and care should not be less for that excuse! Please do your homework before choosing a facility! This place is beautiful but looks can be deceiving!

OCOM Orthopedic & Multi-Specialty
As a patient i can tell you that everyone associated with this hospital from my surgeon, nurses, nursing assistants, dietary staff and anyone else I failed to mention were professional, kind, considerate and extremely helpful. Not only did they take great care of me, they were also considerate of my wife who stayed there with me. I have had experiences at several hospitals and this one by far exceeded the rest. Hopefully I won't need another joint replacement, but if I do i will definitely be returning to OCOM. Thank you for going above and beyond in providing excellent care.

Oklahoma Spine Hospital
Very professional and caring staff. I'm very pleased with my choice to have my spinal surgery here. My nurses were great and so was my room. Comfortable accommodations for me and my spouse who stayed with me. My nurses worked with me to accomplish my goal of getting out early and helped walk every few hours. Dr Snell was great too as well as Aaron his PA. Great surgical team. If you are having spine surgery this is their expertise. This place should be given serious consideration.

Univ. of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center - Physician Associate Program
The doctors give good care here along with the lab and staff. To use this as a primary care provider is difficult because you communication is awful and you can forget getting a prescription refilled without calling several times over more than a week. If you are sick and just need to see anyone, this is better than the emergency room.

Lakeside Women's Hospital
Had 2 surgeries here this week (one Mon and one Wed). They were scheduled that way because I didn't want to wait 6 weeks between them. Every one I have met and who has assisted me since I have been here has been great. My fave part is the bait paws gowns that they hook up to keep you warm! Definitely recommending to all my friends.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the center. Some may allow brief visits by family members. Patients should ask about visiting rules before inviting people to stop by.
No. Patients should arrange for someone to drive them home and stay with them for 24 hours following the procedure.
This depends on the procedure. Most centers ask that patients arrive one to two  hours before the procedure begins. Following the procedure, the patient will stay at the center until fully recovered from being sedated. This may take between one and three  hours. After that, if the patient isn't experiencing abnormal pain, he or she may leave.
Different states have different rules regarding requirements for surgery centers. However, ASCs are required to be certified as a Medicare and/or Medicaid Ambulatory Surgery Center supplier before they enter into an agreement with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
The most common types of procedures conducted at surgery centers are:
  • Gastrointestinal
  • Ophthalmology
  • Orthopedics
  • Pain management
Some of the most common procedures include:
  • Cataract surgery
  • Colonoscopy
  • Pain injections
