The Real Elite Movers
The best movers I have ever used. Hands down. When I first moved to the Oklahoma I used Apple Movers. They were late, rude and slow as molasses. I got no customer service whatsoever. I thought I was in for a mediocre experience with The Real Elite Movers. I had to move up my time by an hour because I was having issues coordinating with the landlord to turn over the property. But it turned out they were very flexible and gave me some reasonable alternatives. They arrived exactly when they said they would, not a minute later. The movers were polite, paid attention to detail and efficient. I moved from an apartment with three flights of stairs and no elevator to a single-level duplex. The move out took a while, for obvious reasons. But they moved us in within 30 minutes. I looked at my watch to be sure. And they even set up both my beds. Their rates were quite reasonable and included furniture padding and a truck. No driving, no truck rentals, no paying for gas. I will be more than happy to call on them for any future moves. Life is too short and your time is too valuable to move yourself. In addition to hurting your back and imposing on your friends, you just don't do it enough to be efficient. These guys know what they're doing and will help get you through what will likely be the hardest part of the move. Total time was four hours. If I hadn't had such a high-level condo, I'm sure it would've taken less time. Do yourself a favor, save up some dough and hire these guys. Worth every penny. Believe me.

Good Brothers Moving & Storage
These guys are great! They arrived on time. Not a scratch on any of the furniture. Though they did toss the boxes a bit roughly when loading them into the truck (but to be fair no boxes had FRAGILE written on them. I'm still glad that I had already moved all the fragile stuff on my own). They wrapped all the furniture and TV, and even had complimentary loaner wardrobe boxes.Communication was great - got confirmation emails after booking; had no problems changing the date a week prior; and even another confirmation call the day before my move. The movers asked where I wanted things once we got to the new place. I wanted all the boxes in the garage so not to clutter the house, and the guys set them in aisles for easy access around the boxes - fabulous! They took down and set up all the furniture perfectly.5% military discount Hopefully, I don't have to move again for a long time, but would definitely use them again next time.

Discount Moving
I used these guys years ago when moving and they were great then. So they were my first call when moving again. Rusty and Cody were our movers and I can't say enough nice words about these two individuals. First off, they were prompt! Secondly, they were extremely nice and easy to get along with. They were professional in the way they moved my stuff. Never once did I hear anything hit a doorway or wall as they were moving some rather large items. Which is kinda important when moving. Thirdly, these fellas were fast. Whenever you pay someone by the hour, time matters. I never felt unsure about the way they secured my items in the truck. As my move will be temporary, I will be using Discount Movers again in the near future. I would recommend this company (and we'll ask for Rusty and Cody again) to any family members or friends I know. Thanks for making a stressful move a lot easier!

a-round the clock movers l.l.c
Everything would have been great until they broke the base of an expensive table. It was part of an estate that is in probate. John said he felt badly considering it was a recent gift from the decedent to his 14 year old daughter just prior to his unexpected death. He even ordered one from the internet in front of us, said to give it three days. We paid him (ironically the same amount as the table) and on they went. No table, they lied. When my brother, who was there when they moved the estate, called them, John said he didnt feel it was his responsibility though it happened in transit on his truck. That was the last gift that little girl got from her dad and she asks about it often, plus it is about to be a court issue as it is itemized with the estate. I hope they have insurance. Other than that, did a great job. Just no integrity.

The Real Elite Movers
The staff at The Real Elite Movers sent three guys. They were early, nice, and extremely cooperative. They moved heavy stuff down narrow stairs, got it across town, into our house and even put furniture upstairs that had been downstairs in the old place without any complaints and in very good time. They charge by the hour, but they were working hard the whole time--believe me, I was watching. They also helped us prevent kitty escapes, charged what I was quoted on the phone and were all around a pleasure to deal with. They weren't the cheapest place online, but they were very reasonable. We moved ourselves, with friends, the last time and we were soooo not willing to go through that again. I highly recommend them.

This company moved all my belongings in June 2011 into an apartment on the 2nd floor. Mind you, some of my stuff is extremely heavy! Not only did they show up on time, but they were all very courteous, exceptionally careful with every piece, quick and did not stop until all was moved from one location to the other. I am moving once again and have called this company. The owner answers, no voice mail. He too is always helpful. I recommend this company to anyone! Those bad reviews that are on this site must have come from friends that wanted to retaliate because they are simply not true. 2 thumbs up!!!!!
U-Relax Movers LLC

These guys were amazing! We had to reschedule our move several times due to closing delays and they were great. They worked late getting us there, moving stuff in and getting our beds together so we could sleep. They use protectors on EVERYTHING, so everything was in pristine condition. I even had a fragile large lamp that needed to be moved, nothing was scratched. Best move I have ever had! I will definitely recommend them and use them again.

Discount Moving
We have used Discount Moving twice and were extremely please both times. The second time, we had short notice move for health reasons and they came the next day. They will pack and unpack if you want them to. We had them pack part the first time and they did a great job. Very careful with everything. On time, courteous, and willing to follow direction to place everything just where you want it.

One Choice Moving & Storage
From the initial phone call to the actual move, these guys are professional, courteous, hard working, and when they tell you the time they will show up - they actually show up on time. The 2 guys that did all the moving from a 7th floor apartment - were amazing. I would recommend them to anyone who has to move.
Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
