Coast Dental
The receptionist, dental hygienist, x-ray tech and dentist all took their time to explain procedures and educate me on what I was experiencing. I was not rushed at all. They all made me feel important. I highly recommend Coastal Dental!

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience trying to schedule an appointment, the tone of voice and attitude one of the receptionist used was very unprofessional and upsetting. I will not be coming back and I will make sure my daughter and husband do the same.Good customer service is a key factor for patients to keep coming back as well as recommending others to go there.

Be aware of Scammers. Stay away from their "Credit card" offer from smile generations. Its a trap and they will find ways to keep charging you with fees etc.

First visit seemed to be ok but when it came to more visits, beware. All they cared about is how much $ they can get out of you. If your insurance is through medical, good luck in getting service. If trying to get a hold of any of them on the phone, you won't have any luck but you will get their answering machine. Leave a message, you won't get a return call. Your best way of getting in touch with them is to go to their office but you'll just get the run around. Your better off going to Tijuana, at least there you'll get treated better and get quality care. In my opinion they suck royally.

After being away for 2 years because I live abroad, I dutifully visited Dr. G's office for a cleaning as soon as I got in California. As usual, Dr. G and the staff were welcoming, all smiles and very thorough in cleaning my teeth. I love the feel and the aura of Dr. G and the staff. So positive, loving and encouraging. The office feels like home away from home.

Elizabeth has bent over backwards to help me when no one else would. They have a new surgeon that comes in once a week that does excellent work. I had little to no pain and the swelling was minimal. It has been 5 days since the operation and I am shocked at how good the work is. Out of all the Dental Practices I have been to this is by far the best.

Dr. Raza and everyone who works at this dentist office are truly amazing! Everyone is so nice and happy to be there. I am always greeted with friendly faces and gorgeous smiles. I just had five fillings done by Dr. Raza and he did an incredible job! I've always had such a fear of dentists, but his calm energy relieves my stress and makes me feel the most comfortable I ever have felt in a dentist's chair. The novocaine shots were a breeze and after that I pretty much just laid back and watched a movie while the doctor and his assistant worked on my teeth. This sincerely is the best dentist's office I have ever been to and I will continue to come here as long as I live in the area.

Problems. Gave up here due to bad care but tried going back for just cleaning. "The doctor prefers to do cleanings himself..." OK, made appointment, but it was not the doctor but another person that did the cleaning. When they called to schedule next appointment, I asked who was doing cleanings, office staff, oh no, that was "a dental hygienist". Confusing, I guess the other story was just made up to cover up for not having someone. I said it was ok to remove me from the call list, I was not that impressed and found another location, check this out, the response was, "If you want cheaper service, you can just go to an Arab or a Mexican." Serious. I made no mention of cost. I politely said I preferred to go elsewhere. So they have problems both with clarity and with racism.
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
