Just stay away! After he pulled my tooth he said all the root is out. He should of taken a X-ray20 weeks later I went to a new dentist & some root showed in X-ray.Go to a private dentist.

I am a nurse and therefore very detailed in my observations regarding medical establishments. The staff in Azalea dental are kind, professional, skilled, polite, caring. They were very flexible with the prices and freely gave substantial discounts. It is not easy to find a good dental office that is affordable. . this is it.

Since Dr. Amir left the office has gone downhill. Had an emergency and called the 1800 number provided. My crown popped off and less than 2 weeks from crown lengthening surgery. First call at 7:30pm on Friday and received no call back until after 4pm the next day. Thank goodness Dr. Amir checks the messages they left for him AFTER he no longer works there. He walked me through putting temp glue on there and putting it back on. The dispatch center called after 4pm to inform me the on call dentist was out of town and didn't know me so I had to wait until Monday. Really??? Who acts like that to patients???

Found all staff to be courteous. Office is very nice. Very easy to make app't. Very knowledgeable. Both Dr. Dunn and techs are always nice and answer any and all questions. The dentist calls each new patient after initial visit...

The receptionist is the worst person I have ever talked to. Every time I call she tells me how they are short staffed. I called to get an appointment for an elderly person with heart failure and she said that they wouldn't even tell me if they had appointments due to hippa laws. Really? I can't set up an appointment for someone? If I am driving them? It's a dentist office not some major medical facility. In my opinion it makes me think they have been sued before if they are that scared of even making an appointment. She told me that they aren't even seeing new patients until 9 months from now in December so if you are a new patient forget it they won't see you.

Worst dentist I have ever been too. First visit they just wanted to discuss the filling that I needed they said they could not do the work that day. Second visit I waited over one hour then was brought back and told it would probably be another 45 minutes. I thought this was strange but my wife had a filling that came out. I made an appt with them and the same thing she took off work waited 45 minutes and was told they would not be doing the work that day. But look at the positive they do know how to bill. We still have the bills coming for those three visits. I called and asked management to call me twice. They didn't even have the decency to call me back. Run from these people.

Oh my God run from these dentists. Worst experience I ever had. Spent 20 minutes trying to sell me stuff I didn't need. Made me sit in the room for 45 minutes.
Tips & Advices
  • Pick Your Plan: Most people purchase three main varieties, usually through their employers.
    • An indemnity or fee-for-service plan means you'll have to pay for annual deductibles and co-insurance payments out of pocket.
    • A preferred provider organization is less costly, and you choose from a network of dentists. However, PPOs have some limitations and accompanying deductibles.
    • A dental health maintenance organization plan limits you to just a few choices of dentists, and one doctor handles all of your oral care needs. However, these HMO are usually much less costly.
  • PPO plans and dental HMOs work with only a select number of doctors. While that usually means fewer costs, it also means you have less choice in the dentist who can treat you Before purchasing the plan, you'll receive a list of dentists in each network. From there, you can then pick a plan with doctors who meet your standards and requirements.
  • When picking a plan, you need to look at just how much you'll pay for each and every service. For instance, some plans won't cover your fillings or X-rays, while others may charge more or less for a crown or tooth extraction. You don't want to be caught off-guard by unforeseen charges.
  • If you're truly comfortable with a dentist and you feel he or she can be an ally in your ongoing oral care regimen, then consider signing a plan to just keep that dentist available. That means potentially deal with costs and other insurance-related factors that you might have wanted to. If need be, you might be able to work with the dentist's office to address some of the plan-specific concerns.
  • Ask family, friends or colleagues for recommendations. They will be able to provide details about a dentist's demeanor, operating style and approach to patient care
  • Meet with any prospective dentists to ask about what treatments they perform most often, procedures they're not as familiar with, what accreditation they have or any organizations they belong to and how their offices handles insurance and payments.
  • Consider driving distance, location and office hours.
  • Check With Your State Board: The state board can outline what requirements your dentist must meet and offer information about any discrepancies in the their background and if he or she has faced any disciplinary actions.
  • Remember Your Angles - When brushing your teeth, always place the brush at a 45-degree angle..
  • Don't Forget the Tongue – Your tongue is the largest source of bacteria. Brush it front to back and don't forget the sides.
  • Floss Everyday - Each time you floss, have at least 18 inches of floss available. For optimal control, hold the floss between your thumbs and forefingers.
  • Watch What You Eat - Sugar, alcohol and coffee contain phosphorus. While some can prove beneficial, too much of this chemical can eat away at your teeth and gums.
  • Keep in Mind the Mouthwash - Mouthwash can be helpful if used to supplement proper brushing and flossing. Most mouthwash brands contain chlorine dioxide, a chemical that targets the majority of oral bacterial strains.

There are a number of different causes for sores, including anemia or a vitamin B-12 deficiency. Your doctor will have to examine the bump, find its cause and then develop a specific treatment plan, including the use of corticosteroids to reduce inflammation or antimicrobial mouthwash.
