Als Auto Repair
I've been taking my cars to Al for a couple of years, at the recommendation of the guy who does my smog check. I LOVE Al. He is very honest and will only do what's right to be done for the vehicle--he never tries to upsale me. I took my car in once for a check-engine light and he said there was a ton of carbon buildup and he had to scrap out. He did so without removing some big part (I don't remember what it was, but it would have cost me more) but when the light came back on a couple of weeks later, her let me bring it back in for free and he scrapped more carbon buildup. It's not his fault I haven't maintained my car for years and had all the buildup, but he cleaned it the best he could for a great price, and now the light has stayed off for over a year. Thank you Al!

Access Auto Center
I was recommend to Tess last October and I couldn't be happier. Tess is the first mechanic I've ever trusted. He has gone above and beyond for me, from a rental/loaner vehicle to towing my BMW to his shop. He has worked on my BMW, Jett TDI and RV. I can't say enough good things about him and Alex. The reviews I am reading are so far from anything I've experienced with Tess and behavior I can't even imagine on his part. There are two shops in the one building, so call Tess directly at 625-2445. :)

Als Auto Repair
I bring all my cars to this guy. He gets the problem fixed I had the dealer look at it and did not find the problem and he did. Had to get the report from him and have the dealer look at it again for warranty work done. what a guy did not even charge me to look at it. The last time I had my RX8 looked at he found the problem in 10 mins. and I have an other guy look at it and could not find the problem after 1:30 hrs.I just have to tow in and have al look at it get it done the right way.

Als Auto Repair
I fully recommend this shop to repair your car. The engine computer of my pt cruiser was stolen and when they knew my predicament they help me find a less expensive tow truck to have my car in their shop. It took them only a few days to fix and program the computer. I am using now my car with much confidence since the owner himself fixed it. I recommend this shop, for its efficiency and reliability.

Fast Eddie's Auto Service
Fast Eddie's was definitely fast! I grew up in the auto service industry and found this shop to be clean, quick, and knowledgeable. They replaced my fuel pump, fuel filter and changed my oil within 4 hours my first CALL to them... Probably would have been quicker but I had get the truck towed to them. I have a wedding to attend and they saved my weekend.

Paul's Automotive Repair Center
Take my vehicles to get repaired at Paul's Automotive wouldn't take them anywhere else these guys take care of everything
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
