i have shopped in Hope Chest on Oak Island for 10 or more years. The proceeds benefit women who are being or have been abused. How can someone question the prices when it is a not for profit organization? I am always puzzled by the attitude of shoppers who want to bargain and question the prices. Shame on you.

My family just left this shop, disgusted. We have visited it for years now, and have noticed little things bothersome, but what just occurred will keep us from ever going back. Men's shirts were advertised BOGO. My father found two that were just priced and hung up by a worker, tried them on, even had the store ladies commenting on his modeling. He confirmed the price and was told $4 plus BOGO. He placed those shirts on the counter, and continued shopping. Moments later the manager lady told Mr, "he isn't going to be happy," then told my father she repriced them to $7 and $8, no BOGO. My mother was going to buy an armful of clothes, as was I. We placed everything on the rack and walked out. That was just wrong! We will not be back!

Just a moment...
