At the age of 27, I have been a member at 5 different gyms. I used to have all the time in the world as a college student to work out, but with getting older free time diminished before my eyes. In September 2016, my dear high school friend from Walpole told me about how iLoveKickboxing recently opened a studio in Norwood. Since I live nearby, I wanted to give it a try as my body was getting bored with the same spin classes and out of order treadmills at the regular gym in my town. When I walked in to ILKB for my first class, I was greeted by a cheerful instructor who trained by my side the whole entire class and even gave me a free pair of brand new gloves! The people in my class were also very warm, welcoming, and not to mention hilarious! I felt right at home and have made some new friends who I look forward to seeing each week. Since becoming a member in September, I have been making it a priority to go to class at least 5 times a week. On Saturdays, I have even built up the strength to do double classes to begin my weekend with a bang! With Spring among us, my clothes have gotten more loose (especially my JEANS!), my body more toned with defined muscles, and my endurance has sky-rocked! If you are willing to change your body for the better and truly care about your health, iLoveKickboxing is for you!
Why Norwood's Ilovekickboxing has changed my views on fitness -They make me actually look forward to working out. -The instructors help me figure out workouts to do when I physically do the ones the class is doing. (Planks vs push-ups that my shoulder won't support!)-The break down of the class (15 min HIIT, stretching, bag work, more stretching) makes an hour long class fly by. -The more I go, the easier the harder workouts get! -I still don't love burpees, and I don't think I ever will, but having Sarah M breakdown the movements, has helped me get better at them. -And lastly, it is the one gym/fitness center/work out class that I have NEVER felt uncomfortable in. The instructors teaching the class and taking the class are SO supportive and happy to help, that it makes me work harder.
Since joining ilovekickboxing 7 months ago, my attitude and body has improved dramatically. As someone who was looking to lose weight but at the same time do so in a non-traditional fashion, I quickly discovered that kickboxing was the perfect fit. I’ve lost weight, felt physically and mentally better, and have gained a new passion for kickboxing itself! The instructors at ilovekickboxing are truly phenomenal. They are super patient and helpful, no matter your skill level. Going to ilovekickboxing has become the best parts of my week and I look forward to continuing my time at ILKB.
ILKB Norwood is not only a great place for a workout but it's a family that helps keep you accountable. I've taken different types of classes such as barre, cycling, zumba etc. but nothing beats the one on one interaction you get from the trainers here. They know you by name and it's very welcoming. Be prepared to get your sweat on with a full body work out which includes a 15 minute HIIT warm up, stretching, bag, and partner drills
I absolutely love this place! The instructors are knowledgeable, reliable and incredibly enthusiastic! It's an unreal workout, and I always leave SO glad I came to class. There are so many classes each day to choose from, leaving me no excuse not to go and get my sweat on! I absolutely recommend this gym and workout for anyone looking to get in shape, work out the stress of everyday life, and get toned!
