EMC Express Care
I love EMC Express. Dr. Genco is very passionate when it comes to his patients & the costs. I'm baffled by the reviews below. I've been going here since Dr. Genco opened. Your co-pay is what your Urgent Care Cost with your insurance AND NOT a ER Co-pay which other ER Clinics charge. My co-pay for urgent care is $50 while my co-pay for an ER visit is $250 in which Dr. Genco's office can do they exact same things the other ER facilities do at the cost of an Urgent Care Co-pay. EMC can't determine what your insurance company will or won't pay. They collect for your co-pay & if they are not in your insurance providers list, of course there will be extra charges that may not be covered. I will pay an Urgent Co-pay & 20% of a lab test not covered any day over a ER Co-pay of $250 & 20% of lab costs. Dr. Genco has an incredible heart & recognizes the ridiculous scams with the small ER Clincs."We don't have to satisfy a bureaucratic corporation or distant owners that crave ever increasing profits." Google the other ER Clinics & see if they are privately owned by a Physician or Company (more than likely out of State)

Libby's Home Health Care
Libby's Home Health Care was truly a blessing. They took care of my father meticulously and were always there for my family and me. The nurses that visited our home were respectful and courteous to my father and our family. The staff went above and beyond to make certain that my father was cared for, but also to explain the doctor’s recommendations. The Administrator, Miss Molly, would take time to visit our home and ensure that my father's needs were being met by the nurses, aides, and the needs of our family. My father was back on his feet within a few months, and I have no doubt it is because of the professional, empathetic, and knowledgeable staff at Libby’s Home Health Care. I highly recommend this company to those looking for a home health care agency that is devoted to serving the elderly with the highest quality of care.

When I first moved here I began going to Dr. Safely because he was on the list in my insurance book and he had an office in Keller. What a lucky find he was! He no longer has the Keller office, but I gladly drive in to North Richland Hills to see him. He is not too much in a hurry to talk and explain things to you. He is kind and gentle and seems to really care, which is very relaxing. I have gone to doctors who I practically had to lasso and throw to the ground to get them to hang around long enough to answer my questions. You've all been to those. But Dr. Safely is different and will chat with you to relax you before beginning the dreaded exam! His staff are friendly and caring as well and it is a pleasure to go for my checkups, not a dreaded experience.

There was lots of available parking at their office. I was glad that I didn't have to drive around looking for parking. I love how much attention to detail they show. They are always so careful and meticulous. I never have to worry about them making a mistake or forgetting something. They go out of their way to make everyone feel equally respected and cared for. I've seen client favoritism at some of the other places I've been, and I really appreciate the extra effort they make to avoid that here. Their primary concern is my safety and comfort, and they always take the time to address every concern of mine immediately. I was in awe at the level of service I received. They completely surpassed all my expectations and I will absolutely be going back.

Dr. Safely is one of the most caring, compassionate physicians I have ever had the privilege to see, not only to his patients but also to his hospital staff. He is always willing to go above and beyond to provide the best possible care and outcomes to his patients while providing a safe environment to nursing staff. He is very attentive to detail and always willing to listen to input and suggestions to improve patient care. He keeps up to date on current issues and latest treatments for his patients. I know few people whom I would recommend more highly than Dr. Chuck Safely, both personally and professionally

EMC Express Care
This place is the best kept secret in the area for healthcare. I have been coming here with my family for years and have always found the staff to be outstanding and the service quick. We've seen Dr. Genco and he always takes a great deal of time answering our questions and is very thorough and knowledgeable. He sewed up a cut on my daughter's hand and he did such a good job that you can't even see the scar.School physicals are only $10 and we didn't have to wait at all. MinuteClinic wanted $50 for the same thing! Found out that flu shots are $10 here as well so we will be back during flu season.

I am generally not a fan of male doctors looking at my private parts but he has always been very professional and made me feel very comfortable. Not only is he an OBGYN but he is also a GP, so he has been able to answer some questions about some other issues as well. I am also not a great patient and he has always had a great bedside manner. Since I moved away, there has been a couple times I needed either a second opinion or a called in prescription for something minor. He has counseled me on the phone and taken the time to really explain things to me. I can't recommend him enough.

Dr. Safely is the best!! But, I was a bit irked by the fact I had to wait 15-30 minutes in the waiting room every time I came (even though I always make appointments in advance). Soon it dawned on me what the delays are caused by. Dr. Safely never, ever, rushes you out. He is not only knowledgeable and experienced , he will answer all of your questions, no matter how silly they may seem to you ( and he will never, ever let you feel they are silly). He takes the time to get to know you and , to be honest, by now, I feel like he's a member of our family.

Medical City North Hills
In July, My mom went to the ER for a rapid heart rate and was treated well. On August 30th, she went in to the hospital for an X-ray of her foot and was mistreated by a female X-ray tech. she was impatient and rough and tried to get Mom to flatten her lower back on the table, which was not possible and very painful. Mom also came home with a thumbprint shaped bruise on her ankle. we complained to the head of radiology who said he had not had any complaints about the tech before. I will get her name and find out who to send a letter to now.

I love that they are always more than happy to answer my questions, and actually welcome questions. I always tell my friends looking for a new OBGYN to go here. Their staff is very friendly and professional. They always make an extra effort to make me feel respected and attended to. They always listen to every question or concern I may have. I will definitely refer my friends and family here. They were great and I think more people should know about them.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
