Worst experience ever! Two day migraine from a cleaning! Customer service is horrible, no one ever calls you back! I do not recommend, nor will I EVER return.

Aspen Dental
Worst dental experience. Cut up my mouth trying to take x-rays. They add things to your bill without explanation. We paid the financial person IN FULL in her office before any procedures were done. Now we're getting bills the mail. Go someplace else!

Be sure to make sure they fulfill the things they promise and stay on the staff. I am currently having some work done and needed some antibiotics to keep an infection down until my scheduled appointment. No problem until I ran out of them and the infection returned. I called to arrange for another prescription last week. They took my info, which pharmacy I used and said they would call if they had questions. When I stopped at the pharmacy they had nothing called in or dropped off. The day happened to be a day the dentist was closed so they could not be contacted so I was out of luck. Needless to say I had a painful inflection due to a lack of antibiotics. I also happened to be away on business so it couldn't be addressed until today. So I left my job early to go to their office to get to the bottom of the problem/who dropped the ball with the communication. I did not even get an apology at the office. The receptionist said she passed the info to the correct place but they did not process it. No one seemed to care/ask how their lack of care impacted me as a person or patient. Instead I got to wait at their office for 45 minutes to get a script handed to me from someone through a half opened door. Awesome, they not only have problems with their patient information process but also with showing that they care about the people they treat. I understand people make mistakes but it how you respond to the mistakes is what makes a difference. I'll finish out the treatment and look for another office.

HORRIBLE Experience at North Myrtle Beach Dentistry! I like so many went in with the flyer for the $59 for cleaning , xray and exam. My hygienist Stacy Bunner began scaling my teeth with NO water for rinsing after a couple of teeth she said wait I want to get something, went down hall returned with a device and used it on my teeth and I told her it hurt, yet she continued.... to make a long horrifying story short, she Shaved down my teeth, changed the shape of them!!! It is unheard of but she did it. Obviously, I have so many issues with my teeth now & what she did to me on so many levels, it's nothing short of criminal. Beware of North Myrtle Beach Dentistry and run if your Hygienist is her.

Gentle Dental is the best dentist office I have ever been to. From the moment you walk in the door you feel warmly welcomed by the front staff, and they are very helpful. I did not wait but 5 minutes to get called back and the hygienist was very thorough. I have seen both doctors and they are both very kind, professional, and explained my needs and costs. I would recommend this office to anyone!! Now my whole family goes to Gentle Dental.

My experience with this Dental office has ended today. The office staff from the bottom to the top do not care, they are incompetent and rude and immature. It took weeks and weeks for them to call me once they had the insurance approval.. Papers lost on someones desk, Causing a delay in treatment and loss of annual insurance benefit.Billed me incorrectly due to incorrect insurance information inputed in to system. They called me for payment I did not know I owed. I asked to get a detailed bill, it took weeks and weeks. A young lady called me again for payment, I asked her to call my husband because I was heading into a meeting. She did not call him. This week I receive a collection notice. Today I went to the office and once again I was greeted with arrogance. They pretty much said I they did call my husband and I was lying. Turns out they had the wrong # and apparently that was my fault too. But clearly on my new patient paperwork I wrote the correct #. I asked to talk to the office manager and lucky for me the young lady I was already speaking to was the office manager. I tried to explain my entire experience with her hoping she would have understood and tried to make it right. She did not, she just wanted to be right, she did not care that I wanted my records to transfer to a new Dentist. She did not want to stop explaining how right they were. According to them everything was my fault, the incorrect mailing address the wrong insurance information, when they had a copy of my insurance card, The wrong area code on the phone number, which was correct on paperwork. All of their mistakes and incompetence are apparently my fault.I finally said it does not matter you do not care to listen to me you obviously do not want us a patients, you just want to be right. My husband and I will find a new dentist. Just to be clear my balance was $40.00 and my husbands was $17.50 yes a grand total of $57.50.I hope the dentists in this office are now aware of the customer service their patients get. From the moment I walked in the office staff could not do the job and no one has the right answers. If only they will learn to listen. STOP talking and listen. On a positive note.... You will never find a better Hygienist she is awesome I will miss her, but the treatment form the office staff is not worth it.Sincerely Shelly Reynolds & Charles Tolliver

I should have sued these people.Told me i needed gum surgery which i did not, according to several other dentists. Over charged for cleaning and xrays then said they couldn't do the cleaning i needed to see a specialist. Still charged me almost 300 for xrays and did nothing. This place sucks!
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
