Honest-1 Auto Care
Pat Mowery and his crew, located at 4665 Ann Road, definitely know what great customer service is! I called just after 5 PM on a Friday with major brake issues and was given a extremely convenient appointment time of 9:30 - 9:45 AM Saturday morning to fix the problem on a Mercedes S500. What a pleasant surprise. I called at 8:30 AM Saturday to confirm that they carried DOT 4 brake fluid.Conveniently located in the Northwest side of town, the parking lot was a little ackward simply because they were so busy when I arrived. (A good sign) The customer waiting area was full yet still quite homey. There were three of us standing at the counter being helped by the same guy at the same time. Nice to see multi-tasking works -- while one customer is reviewing his paperwork, another customer was dropping off her keys, and I'm filling out my work-order with contact information. The Office is quite different than what I'm use to. It was clean, organized, comfortable looking chairs, a small kid's play area, a nice color TV with good reception, and an Internet station with a friendly notice inviting customers to use their computer. The only thing missing was a Starbuck's Espresso machine. -smile-Pat gave me a ball-park estimate over the phone Friday and was within $15 when I received the bill. I didn't ask for a firm estimate when I dropped off the car as I felt comfortable with his tone of voice and his friendliness at both the front door and in the office. What a great experience. Their work was more affordable than the local Mercedes shop down the street which couldn't work on the car until Monday and half as much as the dealership wanted to change me for a Wednesday AM appointment. I grabbed a couple extra business cards and plan to spread the good word about Pat & his crew. Many thanks for the great service. I'll be back in the future.Shawn Shaughnessy

Purrfect Auto Service
I went to this place today and got great service. I went in for an oil change and asked for them to check out a few concerns of mine. It took maybe like 15 mins to get my suv in and which surprised me given how busy they were. Other customers told me it was the only shop they would take their cars to. The manage Mark came to me about 20 mins later and had told me that some of my concerns were valid and what he recommends, what were not valid, and what could wait and was not a concerning factor and why. I had explained that some of the ones that needed to be done would have to wait due to my financials, he was able to manage to lower the price enough on a couple of service to fall right within my budget.About 45 mins to an hour later I was all done and the tuneup and a transmission flush, and my car was running like new and my tranny is no longer struggling. Thanks a ton guys! I back this place up!

AA Auto Care
This is the second time I have had service here in the past 3 months. The first time was for what I thought was just a water pump. Turned out to be a leak behind the timing belt. They took the time to explain to me EXACTLY what the problem was and ehat it would take to fix it...NO B.S. Just this week I brought my car back because I had lost my brakes. I thought it was the master cylinder and dropped the car off. I got a call telling me my rear wheel cylinder, drum and pads were fried on one side. They replaced only what needed to be snd showed me the worn parts when I picked the car up. The staff is great and will do quality work for the best price they can. They will even go out of their way to give you a ride if needed. Not only is the workmanship good quality, but the mechanics are honest and the rates are very fair.

Doctor Auto
I was very pleased with the service I was provided. I actually felt like a person and not just a dollar sign. You worked with my extended warranty and helped me out ASAP. With times as hard as they are and to have my only mode of transportation out of commission was stressful and a bit emotional seeing that I had a horrible, horribly, experience w/a major dealership that happily and easily took my money from my pocket just to have my vehicle given back the same way I had left it at the dealer and after getting it back 2-3 other times have it leave me stranded right off the lot , where again I paid for them to fix it and tow it. So yes!!! You guys are a fresh of breath air! I will recommend you to everyone I know! I got my van back the next day and I couldn't be happier.

Super Duty Shop
The Superduty shop is hands down the only place I will take my truck. Every time I visit my truck is well taken care of and Mike always seems to go the extra mile to get me and my truck taken care of. It is really refreshing to get such good customer service when nobody else seems to know what that is anymore. Also, I drive a Chevy, not a Ford. Dont let the name of the shop fool you. They work on all makes and models. They can take care of anything you need from an exotic lift kit and wheels, basic maintenance and repair needs, to a full on engine replacement if needed. I do not hesitate to send people to Mike over at the Superduty shop as I know they will be taken care of. Give them a try if you are not happy with your current repair facility.

Royalty Brake & Tire Inc.
Royalty Break and Tire handle everything to do with cars! They are great at helping you diagnose the problem and showing you the problems before fixing it. I was referred to them by a friend and have been very happy with their service on my 2 cars. I have been to several other mechanics in town but Royalty is the Best so far and their customer service is absolutely top notch. I've even referred some armchair mechanics to them and they have been very happy with the service and price too. Check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Doctor Auto
We have been looking for a good auto shop in Vegas for years. Thought we found one but it didn't work out. I took my Durango to Doctor Auto hoping they were what we were looking for. They were! They even took me home while my car was being worked on and picked me up when it was finished. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and the cost was spot on what they estimated for me. Great job guys!

Superior Tire & Service
I was driving through LV and noticed my two front tires were showing metal on the sides. I happened to stop at this Goodyear location and Lee was phenomenal. I got two new tires quickly and got the best price based on online price comparisons. I only wish this was my local shop because I would be getting ALL of my car needs taken care of here. Lee was so great and the shop was so fast! Thank you!!

Brake Masters - Full Service Auto Repair
I just had the most enjoyable car repair ever. Oxymoron, I know, but Kurt worked with me and helped me turn what was to be a $1300 repair for rack and pinion and power steering hose into a $600 repair. He saved me and saved our Christmas. He's an honest man and I will never go anywhere but to him from here on out. I now know why my mom has used him for some time and speaks so highly of him.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
